Reporter the fact that lawmakers are not in washington is helpful in mitigating some of this risk. Make no mistake, police are taking no chances here. The fence is back up. There are Security Cameras outside the Capitol Complex Grounds to help Law Enforcement keep better track of whats going on on the ground, something that seemed to fail catastrophically on January 6th. We also know that there are a list of Law Enforcement agencies who have been asked to assist. We know that, for example, Arlington County Police has told cnn they plan to help Capitol Police as much as needed. The Fbi Washington Field office says they are also within their authority involved in this Planning And Security preparation for this rally thats supposed to happen on saturday. The organizer of the rally maintains that they are pushing for a peaceful protest. A couple of Ground Rules theyve put forth, for example, are dont wear political paraphernalia, wear red, White And Blue only, bring american flags, with respectful to the Security Team and Law Enforcement. Apparently what theyre trying to do is impress upon the people who may come to this rally not to bring weapons, to be peaceful. That is the hope. However, we know Reality And Hope dont always align and it just takes one person to cause mass harm. That is why police are taking no chances. This is another major test of Capitol Police. Theyve already had incidents of people coming to the capitol grounds. We saw someone arrested earlier this week for bringing weapons to washington. There are too many examples of people who might intend to cause harm trying to do so. There was a Bomb Threat a couple of weeks ago. They dont want to take any chances. We know there were sitting members of congress who spoke at the January 6th rally. What are they saying, any of them, about whats happening this saturday . Of course we just got the statement from the former president himself. This time around republicans are trying to keep the rally at arms length. No republican members are slated to speak at the rally. They also are not promoting the event and there are some on the far right who encourage people not to attend, warning its a false Flag Operation designed to trap their supporters. Clearly theres a concern in the gop about a potential optics pro problem. Donald trump came out with a Statement Today essentially offering support for the rioters jailed in connection with January 6th. Here is what we said, quote, our ha hearts and minds are with the people being persecuted so unfairly. It is proven conclusively we are a two Tiered System of justice. In the End Justice will prevail. It really shows that gop leaders are in a bind here, because on the one hand they dont want to be seen as pro insurrectionists. They want to move on from January 6th. On the other hand, their base as well as Dronald Trump is sympathetic to the rioters. And increasingly republican voters believe the Big Lie about the election. You have democrats now amplifying their warnings that this kind of rhetoric could lead to a January 6th repeat and theyre calling on leaders to denounce the rally. So far no signs of that happening. Republican lawmakers in pennsylvania have voted to subpoena millions of voters personalvoept i voting histories. It includes names, addresses, Drivers License numbers, partial Social Security Numbers and even portions of their voting history. They came back to pennsylvania and brought with them the groups that did the audit and pressured those counTies To do an audit of their own process. One of the witnesses last week testified there was no fraud in fulton county. We believe that this is orchestrated as part of a national conversation to undermine our voting process, all at the behest of our former president , who by the way they checked with him to make sure its okay. Theyre trying to take peoples personal information and utilize it for political gain. We believe thats wrong. Its not as though the arizona bogus audit changed anything. It didnt turn around the election results. Why would they want to waist Taxpayers Money . Thats a great question. We had over 20 lawsuits filed challenging the validity of pennsylvania elections and every one of them were defeated. In fact, many of them were defeated by individuals who were appointed by President Trump on the federal side. Youre right, its Wasting Money and continuing to erode the Publics Confidence in our electoral confidence trying to undermine and repeal our Mailin Balloting Process and continue to create this doubt. At the end of the day, its something they should not be doing. I dont think this rally is going to amount to much and i think thats because the Capitol Police, the federal Law Enforcement, the local Law Enforcement are saying were not messing around anymore. We know youre out there. Were going to do a show of strength thats likely going to minimize the number of people who come. I view that as a success. Thats a success. We have had a conversation several times over the past couple of years about the similarities between foreign terrorists and domestic extremists as it relates to radicalization. Former president Bushs Speech on 9 11 reminded me of those similarities. When Donald Trump comes out and releases a statement saying our hearts and minds are with the people persecuted on January 6th, whats the value of a statement like this on the eve of this rally . So thats a come hither. Thats trumps flirtation, his sort of im not telling you what to do, but im going to use the language of Fighting And Justice and war to essentially radicalize people who are willing to get radicalized. Theyre listening to someone who used to be president of the united states. Trump has been doing this for years as a form of Terrorism Or Terror incitement. We got much more specific on January 6th than he is with this release. So thats why ive become less shy about basically saying we have someone who is organizing terror who used to be president of the united states. I think thats what former President Bush was essentially saying, the through line between 9 11 and January 6th is Hate And Hatred of Plurality And Democracy and theyre linked. It just happens to be that their spokesperson is a former president of the united states. Obviously it just complicates people in your world, your business so much in terms of homeland security, in terms of national security. The guy who is spearheading this Weekends Rally in d. C. In support of the rioters from January 6th has talked to cnn and guaranteed that it will be peaceful, has said there wont be any weapons, it will be peaceful. Thats comforting to hear, but how can he guarantee that and do you take solace in that . Well, the reality is he cant. He can suggest that to the supporters and attendees, but theyre going to do whatever it is that theyre going to do. While im less concerned than i was in the leadup to January 6th about this rally this weekend, i think theres still potential for the smaller groups of people and clusters to engage in violent activity at this rally. My greater concern, though, is this Dog Whistle that trump just put out with a statement. He knows exactly what hes doing. He does this time and time again. My concern is also that Dog Whistle going across to the country, because its not just whats happening here in d. C. , its about whats going to happen across the Country And State and local jurisdictions, which im sure that Law Enforcement are tracking this and theyre going to be extra vigilant. Its going to be the lone wolves out there that concern me. Theyre acting on the intelligence thats out there. Theyre taking the precautions needed. But on another level, that statement by Donald Trump is a complete slap in the face to Law Enforcement, to those officers that bravely responded that day and the officers that got hurt on January 6th. We do know that gabby and her fiance were involved in that altercation in utah on august 12th. It was late august when it was her last communication with her family and its believed to have been in wyoming at the time. August 25th is when she posted on instagram for the first time. September 1st is when her boyfriend Brian Laundrie made it back to florida alone. Thats when people started asking questions. It was saturday when she was finally reported missing. Her family is at a point where their desperation is turning to anger and they believe Brians Family holds some information that can tell them where to look for their daughter. She goes into great detail about what led to that altercation between both of them. More than 8500 migrants are under the international bridge near the town. The state of texas has shut down six points of entry along the border because of the overwhelming influx of people. The mayor says on monday only about 2200 were waiting in the Bridge Area to cross the border. This is beyond crisis. This is urgent. This is dire. My concern is Health And Safety of the individuals under The Bridge. This group of individuals is not processed. They just literally crossed and are waiting to be detained. You know, its a humanitarian crisis on steroids. Over 8,000 migrants under this bridge. It is hot outside. There are only a handful of bathrooms out there. You have children. You have a lot of single males as well. Border Arder Patrol agents are everything they possibly can and they deserve our thanks for that, but this is beyond a breaking point. Time is running out. Everyone is tired in south texas, in texas in general. We feel abandoned by the administration. Put the politics aside, come together and lets solve this. You say that Border Agents are doing the best they can. As the mayor said there that these migrants are coming and just waiting to be detained, what resources are being offered for the people there as theyre waiting for these Border Agents . Its like a flash mob. You know, the bulk of these migrants are haitians as well. What has happened is theyve encouraged other haitians to make this trek to Del Rio, because in their minds Del Rio is wide open. Youve got thousands of migrants that have just kind of unorganized chaos. Border Patrol Agents are giving out numbers. The migrants are taking those numbers and waiting to be processed. Theres over 8,000 under The Bridge but theres another 2,000 being processed. Del rio does not have the capacity to handle this situation. Over 233,000 migrants have passed through Del Rio. That is six times the end of this small city and theres no end in sight. You mentioned that most of them are haitian. Lets put up the map. What weve known over the last several years people are either coming from mexico or from Central America up through. Haiti on the bottom right here, was there i guess the question is why Del Rio . Do they come across into Southern Mexico and then walk north, or are they coming to the Texas Border . Whats the path of the haitians coming to Del Rio . Great question. Why Del Rio . The Bottom Line is that you have cartels that operate on different sides of the border. The cartel that operates on the side across from Del Rio is going to haiti and Recruiting Haitians in particular. What theyve done is theyve become very efficient at this process. Instead of folks walking across mexico that used to take 22 days, theyre now bussing people directly to the source. That has increased the amount of folks coming through as well. What also caused this problem, this really ignited a few days ago. When i visited today, i was very pointed, hey, what caused this . What caused this is Dhs Cancelled Flights that were supposed to expel migrants back to their country of origin, around six of these flights. That was about A Thousand migrants that had to be reprocessed. That caused this backlog. Its call the repatriatization program. That has to happen. Folks that do not qualify for asylum must be sent back to their country of origin. We know that the earthquake was recently there in haiti and conditions deteriorated dramatically. Theres also a political crisis there after the assassination of the president. And we know that asylum is protected under national and internal law. Of course, one must qualify for that.
