The postal service is an independent agency. Teachers, the president is doing it where he can within the federal government. All teachers that teach as part of the department of Defense School System and department of interior. The president is insisting on a vaccine of all teachers across the country. About 90 of teachers and staff at schools are vaccinated. That should be 100 . Many states have put in place Vaccine Mandates for teachers and school staff. The president is calling on all governors to do the same. Kids should be with vaccinated teachers. The other thing the president did today was to make sure that all teachers and educators that are part of the head start program, almost 300,000 educators across the country, must also be vaccinated. I think requirements for vaccination certainly make sense in the federal government, in Health Care settings and the department of Labors Requirement that people either are vaccinate order tested a minimum once per week will lead to more vaccinations. Its not convenient for most to get tested once per week. The vaccination the vaccines are safe. They are effective. They are free. They are readily available. They protect you and they protect your family and your community and your workplace. As i mentioned, 1,500 people are dying a day that dont need to die.
