At the same time Vaccine Demand is rebounding, first shots are up 76 in the last three weeks and shots are happening where they are most needed, up 171 in the eight states with the highest Covid Case rates. This increase in Vaccination Rates in states that had been lagging is a positive trend. Americans are seeing the risk and impact of being unvaccinated and responding with action. And that is what it will take to get us out of this pandemic. The White House is also ramping up its focus on covid, one official reiterated to cnn that national Vaccine Mandate not under consideration. But a senior official is pinning some of the blame on state leaders. Look at this, one official says that there are governors in this country who are putting their political interests ahead of public health. State and local courts to slow down any potential eviction cases. They also have a significant sum of money, more than 40 billion, that is supposed to go out from past covid Relief Bills to aid some of these homeowners. And the federal government has kicked that money out. Now it is up to the states and localities to actually disperse it. However, when it comes to what they can actually do from a federal policy standpoint, officials make clear despite what they have heard from congressional democrats and the requests to extend the moratorium, they dont believe that they have the legal grounds. In arkansas, 168 students and three teachers are in quarantine after their first week of school and with the Delta Variant spreading across the country, Health Experts say we can expect to see more Covid Outbreaks in schools this fall. Jacqueline howard has more. Reporter schools ive talked to take different approaches. Some schools are still working with local Health Departments to develop an outbreak plan. And they realize that they are working down to the wire. But with the Delta Variant circulating, they are not taking this task lightly. So Denver Public Schools is one that is still developing plans and protocols with their local health officials. Metro nashville public schools say if someone tests positive, their School Nurses will conduct Contact Tracing and make sure people who have been exposed guara quarantine. But there are some elements that all these plans have in common. And if you are a parent, you want to make sure your Kids School does this. Most Outbreak Plans should involve isolating people who have covid, tracking down their contacts who may have been exposed, testing those contacts and then those contacts should quarantine until their Test Results confirm whether they have covid19 or not. And along with developing these Outbreak Plans, some School Officials are considering Vaccine Mandates for their staff and that is to reduce the risk of a potential outbreak. Peter mcknight is head of drew Charter School in atlanta and he says this should be part of more discussions. Fbi agents posting provocative photos of drunk female coworkers online to Sex Traffickers in sting operations, a tactic not authorized according to the justice departments internal watchdog. Reporter the justice Departments Inspector General said some Fbi Agents, quote, sometimes used photographs of young female Support Staff employees to pose as minor children or Sex Workers to entice sexual predators on various Social Media websites. The Will Weromen were clothed as blurred and there is no indication that the women didnt know how the photos could be used, but the photos could still be circulating and now the women are at risk of becoming victims of crimes. Internal investigators said they uncovered this practice while looking into an Fbi Agent who allegedly had an inappropriate relationship with a female coworker. He asked her to send provocative pictures to use in the sting even though she was an office staffer. The fbi apparently doesnt have a policy about using photos of Nonundercover Employees in situations like this according to the report. There is no requirement that employees need to be notified if their photos were used, which websites they were posted on or for how long. The Watchdog Report recommended that the fbi establish a policy to get consent and notify managers in cases like these.
