It sounds so kind of selfish, but this is my life, this is and i have a lot of passion for this. Being able to walk out with a medal and being able to walk out not just with a medal but being able to represent the people that are close to me, you know, i felt like it was a mission accomplished. Japan is absolutely crushing it at these games. And you know it has been a very difficult time for the people of this beautiful place. How does sport impact the society . Well, to be honest, i really didnt realize the impact sport has on a country until this week. You know, from the Opening Ceremony to just social media. Just seeing how much a sport can bring together not just the country, but the whole world. I mean, seriously, i had a special moment just by myself in olympic Olympic Village the other day. Walking around and everyone is so friendly. People come up hey, what are you doing, how is training, how did you do with the event. Hey, lets go have a coffee, lets go have lunch. And sport just brings everyone together. You know, like you said in a time like this with the pandemic that everyone has gone through, it isnt easy for anyone. And to celebrate sport and to bring everyone together through the sport, you know, give knuckles to each other, you know, we did this, we overcame one of the biggest challenges that weve gone through, not just as an athlete, but as a human. So i think that that is why this olympics is so special and i feel like especially in japan, the japanese athletes, in a way were kind of in the front line, the first people in the ceremony and just leading the other on tenders saying hey, lets do this, lets represent our sport, lets represent our country, lets represent the world. And i think that that was a really strong message that has happened and is going on in this olympics. And that was Coy Wire with the medalist.
