Now republicans are catching on with more and more Red State governors speaking out. Youve got to get vaccinated now, and so all i would say is this Delta Thing is coming. Unvaccinated missouriens are the primary target of this new covid19 strain. You need to turn up for the volume for this one because i want you to listen to alabama governor Kay Ivy. Her state is 33. 9 vaccinated. Shes very blunt about who is to blame. The new cases in covid because of unvaccinated folks almost 100 of the new hospitalizations are with unvaccinated folks and the deaths certainly Ocho Consicon occurring with unvaccinated folks. These folks are choosing a horrible lifestyle of selfinflected pain. It is time to start blaming the unvaccinated folks, not the regular folks, its the unvaccinated folks letting us down. I want you to listen to republican Senator Tom Cotton who apparently thinks its a bad thing for what he calls Public Health burocrats to consider what is the best interest of Public Health. If you cant find ten votes for that, i dont think youll find ten votes to reauthorize the voting Rights Act or move forward on the for the people act. I asked that same thing. I said the folks in Washington Cant come together to investigate the worst attack on the capitol in 200 years, what makes you think theyll come together to do anything . There is data coming from places like israel that suggest after a period of six to eight months, the efficacy of the mrna vaccines, particularly the Pfizer Vaccine may start to wayne and thats unclear if it maybe lower levels of neutralizing antibodies or whether its just that we have the prevalence of these more Chance Tran Missble aggressive strains like delta. We always expected at some point we needed to boost and i expect well start doing that with the folks that are most vulnerable who are holder or immune compromised in someway. Probably, eventually, everybody in this country will need a booster in the next several months. That doesnt surprise me. Let me give the numbers from what you said because you said this follows what were learning out of israel and the data suggesting the Pfizers Vaccinefectiveness against the coronavirus has fallen and the numbers says 39 last month it was 64 . To be clear, doctor, right, its still protecting people, right . It protects against a severe disease of over 90 but does that Drop Concern for you . Im not sure what the real number is because we have data, recent data that comes out of the United Kingdom showing a sustained efficacy of 88 for the Pfizer Vaccine. So im not sure how to reconcile the differences between the two studies, what is very clear is that this vaccine in particular, the Pfizer Vaccine and moderna vaccines, very robust protection against serious illness and death. To give you an example, there have been about 3700 hospitalizations in the united states of fully vaccinated people. That sounds like a big number except the denominator is 170 Million. So there are 170 Million americans who have been vaccinated, 3700 hospitalized. And almost no deaths. So 3700 divided by 170 Million is. 002 . There you go, yeah. So the risk of hospitalization is incredibly small if youve been vaccinated. These vaccines work and work very well. I want to put this up for the viewers. Ill explain. This is a map and there are lighter green parts there. Lighter green states are the least vaccinated, okay . And then we keep hearing how it is now a pandemic of the unvaccinated but kids under 12 really dont have a choice in this. Theyre at risk because the people who are choosing because of the people who are choosing not to get the vaccine.
