Now, owens is charged with six crimes including assaulting officers with a dangerous weapon, impeding Passage And Violence on the ground. Hes pleaded not guilty. We know the men and women in blue on that day were engaged in combat for hours. And i think its just disgraceful that the republicans and the republican leadership in particular has not taken responsibility and frankly have no interest in getting to the bottom of what happened. He says its important to understand white rage because he wants to understand the insurrection. Do you think thats what it was about . Were you able to be there with him . No, i was not able to be there with him at all. I had contracted i had covid, as well. Im just so sorry. So i know your husband was a faithful Mask Wearer and, you know, you said he had a drawer full of clean masks. He had been going to work through the pandemic wearing his mask. I know he had not gotten the vaccine but it was something i understand you talked about, kim. Is that something he was considering . Yes, both of us was considering it, you know, looking into it but we still had the unknown of the vaccine. We just we wasnt ready yet, you know, so we just were still researching and trying to follow up, you know, about the vaccine. So we just wasnt ready yet. What would you you know, you say to others who might be in your situation and its understandable. We all know people that are hesitant in trying to, you know, like you were to get to that point. But what do you say to someone now who is thinking about it who is not vaccinated yet . Given that this is just a horribly sad and tragic thing has just happened and up ended your life, your Childrens Life and your grandChildrens Life. Again, its their choice not to be vaccinated. He was active with the School District as kim has been, and its just an incredible loss, and its unfortunate, and these types of losses are preventable and look, the vaccine works.
