These videos are a witness to what happened that day and as we are seeing both time and the spin thats being put on what happened on January 6th, these videos are going to be incredibly important and indictments are incredibly important as they put down on paper exactly what each of these individuals did. I think for this reason the impeachment was important even though there was no chance of conviction or anything. It really in that moment, the immediate after Math Kind of set down how it was remembered and experienced in a sort of a historical document in my opinion. When i look at this video, they make me angry and i just cant believe what i am seeing what do you see when you look at this . Don, i see and it has been like this the last 14 months. I see Disrespect And Violence committed against those people who are out there trying to protect us. I dont care what your political persuasion is. I have seen it from the left and right. We all had enough of it. We ought to put these people in jail. How can people be in denial of what happened. You are talking about the folks that are out there, i am talking about people who are in denial saying these people are patriots and tourists and somehow peaceful protesters. Nothing that happened that day is denfensible. I am a conservative and i am for strong Law Enforcement and other conservative issues. What happened on January 6th is completely in defensible. There were no fbi conspiracy cooking. Well find it out when these cases get in court. You will hear again in court when these people plead out. Trumps supporter latest theory is that the fbi was behind the insur insurrection. You worked with the fbi, how dangerous is that . It is very dangerous, don. It is making the government being the enemy. Listen, there is a thread Antigovernment Thread that you know is distrust full of Law Enforcement of political officials. This had been the case since the 80s. The difference is that president s like Ronald Reagan and george h. W. Bush put in a lot of resources in fighting these Militia Movement and we saw that over the years and leading up to oklahoma city. I think what mais dangerous her is that used to be a Fringe Movement that you know, we put Government Resources into combatting and now that Fringe Movement had sort of morphed and merged at least element of a political party. That makes it difficult to combat. This is apart of a domestic terrorism strategy. It is going to be very hard when we have Members Of Congress who essentially have helping t to prevent a full accounting of what happened on January 6th. Thats possibly promoting more violence. We are seeing officers quitting the force, people retiring early. None of this is good for Law Enforcement. The disrespect. It does get viral. You may be right about that when you start seeing this type of thing. The media picks up on it and people think it is okay. Tougher time to be in Law Enforcement. I feel for them. One is completely not legitimate and you should not be going up against Police Officers and the other one is as patriotic act and thats sort of the disconnect that most people around the country dont understand. Why was it so important to tell the story of all different groups . It was important to tell the story because until we understand and make sure that all groups are free, all Marge Mma Marge until that happens, none of us are free. No matter whatever issue it may be, you are going to end up the box where everybody discriminates against you and you have to deal with it. It is absolutely important that the whole idea of Empathy And Understanding how these events and these situations touched everybody. It does not matter your background. Im disgusted by what i see and i worked very hard to make New York the safest large city in america, reducing the Homicide Rate by 90 , overall Crime Rate by 80 . To have it all collapse in a year is something i never would have imagined could happen. I predicted for 25 years crime would never go up in new York City again. Well, it is going up in catastrophic ways and the scene youre showing is just evidence of how bad it is. The optimism is now being shaped by the reality of the chaos on the streets of this countrys cities and it wont get better. It is going to get worse during the summer and that is the sad truth. I see nothing happening in terms of city after city where the Crime Rate is accelerating, going into the warmer weather, the amount of guns in this country is obscene, over 400 Million of them. We are constantly weakening our laws trying really to control who has those firearms and we had a criminal Justice System that during the Coronavirus Epidemic really collapsed. There were no trials. We had a criminal Justice Reform Movement going out of control with bail reform, Criminal Justice reform, in which we were letting people out of jail faster than we could put the bad ones in. That is something that the criminal Justice Reform Movement has forgotten is unfortunately in our society bad people like that guy with the gun who could have killed those two Little Children 10 and 5 and not thought anything about it. Some people need to be in jail. The criminal Justice Reform Movement refuses to recognize that. There is really no punishment for people any longer. In new York City people arrested on gun charges very seldom do any time in jail waiting to go to trial. We have them arrested three or four times with guns during the time theyre waiting for trial. It is not just New York. Its around the country. I dont know what happens in that year of coronavirus that maybe we just got too comfortable with how safe the country had become. We are rushing back to 1990 in the space of a year. It took us 20 years to get to the worst crime year of our country, 2,043 murders in new York City. 5,000 people shot. It only took us a year to go back this time. I dont know. Political leadership has got to get their act together. Im not seeing anybody with any plans to deal with this. That is the sad part and why im talking about it. There needs to be a greaT Deal of concern on the part of the public. Who in public Safety Leadership is putting forth plans to keep the citizens of this Country Safe . Im just not seeing it. Listen, the economy can come back. The real Estate Market can come back. You know what doesnt come back . A life. Youre right. We have to get a handle. That is the most important thing is getting crime under control in new York City.
