Things that a 14yearold doesnt usually get to do, so yeah. Absolutely. And the flexibility, being a military child, you know, from birth till now, for the 14 years that sydneys been with us, it has been absolutely amazing. We just we try to remain flexible. We try to prepare any time we can. Were always looking ahead, what do we need for this week so we can knock those barriers down so that were ready when the day comes and we can be flexible. Honestly we laugh a lot, we joke a lot because it helps us get through, and we definitely try to stay in touch with one another as often as we can. We try to talk to dad any time he can. We appreciate you both being on. Thank you so much. Absolutely. Thank you all so much. Yes, thank you. And new day continues right now. Im John Berman alongside brianna keilar. On this new Daying President Bidens Message to the world about the future of u. S. Diplomacy and what he plans to tell vladimir putin to his face. And an inspectors report about the ugly scene that took place a year ago when protesters were forced out of Lafayette Park with pepper balls. Plus a high School Yearbook Club forced to stop sales after some parents and teachers complained about black Lives Matter. And stargazers waking up early like us this morning to witness a Solar Eclipse. Were actually work bug we got to see it. Neil Degrasse Tyson joins us live. Welcome to our viewers in the united states and all around the world. Its thursday, june 109, and the united states is back and facing an Inflection Point in history to prove democracies can endure and excel. Thats the message from President Biden to the world as he kicks off a weeklong trip abroad in europe. This is his first overseas trip as president. He will attend the G7 And Nato meetings before his long awaited Facetoface Showdown next week with vladimir putin. Im headed to the g7 and then to the Nato Ministerial and then to meet with mr. Putin to let him know what i want him to know. Ive been clear, the united states will know and respond in a robust and meaningful way when russia engages in harmful activities. Weve already demonstrated that. I. Go doing community there are consequences for violating the sovereignty of democracies. And joining us now from england is White House Communications Director kate bedingfield. Kate, thanks so much for being with us from across the pond. Thanks for having me. Of course. As we listen to the president there, one of the big things hes doing is selling democracy abroad, but here in the u. S. , were seeing craps and crisis in our democracy. How do you sell it when the u. S. Has actually a bit of a Credibility Problem when it comes to democracy right now . Reporter one of the things President Biden has to do is restore Faith And Democracy and part of the way you do that is by showing democracies can still deliver, and Thats Something President Biden has done in his first now almost 150 days in office, and hes done that by Passing The American Rescue Plan and getting checks as he promised into the accounts of people across the country to help pay for food and pay for their rent. Hes done that by standing behind a Vaccination Program thats approaching getting 70 of the adults in the united states vaccinated. Were leading the rate of those vaccinated. Part of the way you deliver is delivering at hole. Thats something President Biden has done in the first now almost five months of his presidency, and over the next few days at the g7, hes going to be talking with some of our closest and longest standing allies about what democracies can do to lead on the World Stage again. The big part i mean not that this entire trip is not big, but i think the part that everybodys really training an eye on is this meeting hes going to have in several days with vladimir putin, and putin just sent a message to putin. He labeled navalny supporters, Alexei Navalny supporters extremists. They will be disqualified from running in legislative running in elections, among other ways to exercise their rights. Is there a scenario where the president would actually consider calling off this meeting with putin . Reporter he has every intention of having this meeting with President Putin, and what he would say is he sits down with President Putin not in spite of our differences but because of our differences. He is somebody who has done, of course, diplomacy on the World Stage his entire public career, and hes known President Putin for a long time. His met with him facetoface before. So this conversation with President Putin is going to be direct, candid. Hes going to talk about, raise our issues of concerns, including as you say, human Rights Vie lags, incursions on the you krabian border, Cyber Attacks by russia. These are things that are on the table that hes going to raise with President Putin burkes what hes Look Dog is create a stable relationship with putin, and that is working on areas where we can find consensus and finding interests in the united states, things like nuclear proliferation. Its why we signed extension to the new s. T. A. R. T. Treaty. First and foremost, this conversation with President Putin, rest assured, is going to be direct, and its going to be very candid. I want to turn and talk about another important foreign trip, which was the Vice President s first foreign trip, where this was this was South America as shes training her eye on Root Problems behind the immigration crisis. White house sources tell cnn theyre perplexed by her border answers. What do you say to that . Reporter i say shes done a tremendous job already on this incredibly difficult portfolio that the president gave her, and shes the person to get it done. Look T Work shes doing already is already making a difference. Our latest data shows that unaccompanied excuse me. Im hitting the microphone in front of me unaccompanied children coming from the Northern Triangle where Vice President harris was visiting is down 23 , 22 since march. ThaT Work is already paying off, and this is an incredibly important assignment. Anding look, the other thing i would say about this, you know, conservative republicans, rightwingers, love to attack on this issue. This is a moment for people to come together, for people to find practical bipartisan solutions. People want to make progress on this incredibly important issue, rebuild the immigration system, this is the time to come to the table and do it. President biden put forward a bill on his first day in office to institute a humane, comprehensive reform of our immigration policy. We would welcome anybody, democrats, republicans, to come to the table to find solutions. Thats what the american people are looking for. She has taken a lot of incoming from the right. I will say that in itself is not a reason to not ask questions about how she has done on this trip, but we do have some reporting that republicans have been frustrated, that none of their attacks are really sticking to the president , they see opportunity in attacking Vice President harris. Why you do think that is . Reporter well, i think the fact that President Biden and Vice President harris have been able to make incredible progress in their first now 150 days in office, getting a Vaccination Program and why her instead of reporter thats a question youd have to ask them, brianna. I think what that says is that the work that President Biden and Vice President harris are doing, leading an economic recovery that is the envy of the world, you know, we come into the G7 World here with the u. S. Economy growing at the fattest rate of any economy from around the world as were emerging from this pandemic. To me it says the work that President Biden and Vice President harris is doing is hard to attack, so theyre making personal attacks. Its disappointing, certainly not what the american people want to see, but were focused on the work, getting shots in arms, getting this economy going again, and making sure all americans have equitable opportunity. Lets talk about the domestic agenda. Some democrats are saying its time for the president to move ahead without republicans when it comes to infrastructure. Hes already ended one round of talks. Do you agree with that . Reporter theres progress moving on all fronts here. Theres a lot of prediction that things are breaking down or hitting a barrier. In fact, were seeing progress on multiple fronts right now. Theres a bipartisan group in the senate working on an infrastructure proposal. Theres someone in the house working on an infrastructure proposal. Theres a vehicle that President Biden has proposed that can be handled. So there are multiple packets that are moving forward, and President Biden has said he has only two red lines in these conversations. One is not raising taxes on anyone making less than 400,000 a year, but two is inaction. Hes not going to tolerate inaction. Were seeing a lot of movement on a lot of different fronts. Were encouraged by that. There are ways of getting things done. Its how it becomes law. There are many steps. We encourage all of the progress happening on these different paths simultaneously. Kate bedingfield from the White House. Thank you so much for joining us with word on the president s trip, his first trip. Joining us now, chief correspondent jim acosta. Sir, youve been on many trips like this as has brianna. You talk about the challenges of convincing the world that Democracy Works, which, by the way, is an interesting way to frame it. Its different than weve seen before, that Democracy Works and its worth doing it while simultaneously on phone on zoom trying to make Democracy Work for the united states. Its a challenge. Its a huge challenge, but, listen. I think its one of the key moments of the first yearpresid. How he handles the meeting with President Putin is going to send a message across the world. I was talking with someone who said were looking at quality being restored is how this official put it. Theyre definitely suffering from posttrump. They need to score for democracy even though theyre not scoring at home right now. I want to turn now and talk about the i. G. Report, the inspector Generals Report about a key day, which was when Lafayette Square was cleared and then we saw President Trump with his Photo Op in front of the church there. Tell us what were learning, and tell us what this means. Tell us if this raisesmore questions than it answers. What do you think . I think it certainly raises more questions than answers. You know, the i. G. Report is saying that the Park Police cleared The Park with the purpose of setting up this fence because obviously the protesters needed to be moved back from this area where they were denation statue. I was in the Rose Guard about that day when President Trump gave that speech and said im going go this special place, talking about the church, and you could hear the police and federal forces clearing that park. They were violently pummeling protesters, tear gassing protesters. Remember the White House said they werent using tear gas. The d. C. Police were using tear gas. The other thing that was not clear is what did the White House team know at the time. They did not speak to senior officials or the Secret Service. It certainly raises more questions. I have to say as i read the report you wondered if he was auditioning to become Inspector General at maralago. This was almost a whitewash. These protesters were dem straight peacefully. You cant have protesters pummeled by Police Officers when theyre trying to make a statement about racial injustice in this country. The i. G. Report didnt specifically say that happened. What it said was that the Park Police, not only the Park Police or Secret Service but the Park Police didnt clear those protesters so that the president could go hold up the bible. Right. Thats a very specific narrow finding. But what we dont know is what the White House was plotting at the same time. Remember forecast you look at the inspector Generals Report, theres one part where The Inspector General talks to the Attorney General this is in the i. G. Report. Are the protesters still going to be here when the president comes out. Clearly they had this intent to use the clearing of The Park to stage this Photo Opportunity even if that was not the original intent of the Park Police. And so, you know, i think that there are other investigations going on up on Capitol Hill inside the interior department, over at the Justice Department. We need more answers than this. This doesnt go nearly far enough to explain what happened that day. We dont know what the a. G. Said. We also didnt hear from a lot of folks who would have known that as well in this report. Yeah. Were also learning that the Trump Administration went to considerable lengths to get the records of one of our coll colleagues, barbara staar, who covers the pentagon. They actually put a secret Gag Order on cnns general counsel. Lets listen to how he describes the legal battle. Thats whats the most unnerving and bizarre part. Nothing we did or requested would prompt them to create to provide any sort of clarity as to what they might be looking for. We couldnt even narrow the search as a result of that, nor do we have any idea what the State Or Threat of national security to harm would justify this, which is really the standard that should be met, and im skeptical that it ever was met. I wonder what you think about that and not just what happened under the Trump Administration but what could happen under any administration. What is this . Then Handmaids Tale . Im sorry. Theres a secret court that says the Government Cant take our emails . This is totally insane. I think its a really important moment that david vigilante takes this and publishes it where he talks about roy they were doing. He essentially says, they didnt establish this to have this draconian code attached to the process. No matter whos in change, you cant have people grabbing the emails and then have lawyers say, you Cant Talk about it. They couldnt talk about it with the public or people inside cnn. I understand there are reasons for secrecy and so on, but it speaks volumes that later on a separate judge looked at it and said they didnt go nearly far enough. I know personally what its like to be on the Receiving End of the government going after your first amendment. He took my Press Pass and then when we showed up, they said, what are you guys doing . You cant do this. I think its pretty striking that the Trump Administration seemingly time and again just getting, you know, in the way of the first amendment, going after the first amendment rights of whether its journalists or protesters. It was a steady theme throughout the entire administration. Jim acosta, youre here, Talk Trump fans at a major leae baseball game. See what happened after they unfurled a giant banner. Tone general maric garland on Capitol Hill facing tough questionsing arguments including the Governments Defense over President Trump in a Defamation Lawsuit stemming from an congratulations of rape. The job of the Justice Department and making decision of law is not to back any administration, previous or present. Our job is to represent the american people. And the essence of the Rule Of Law is what i said when i accepted the nomination for Attorney General. It is said that like cases be treated like, that there not be one rule for democrats and another for republicans, there not be one rule for friends and another for foes. Joining me now is former Attorney General alberto gonzalez. He also served as White House counsel in the george w. Bush administration. Your general reaction to what we just heard from Merrick Garland. I dont disagree with a word that general garland expressed to the american people. I think its the right approach for any department of justice. Now, of course, sometimes practices, decisions are affected by new laws passed by congress. Sometimes there are Court Decisions that cause a department to take a Difference Approach with respect to procedures and how they actually pursue wrongdoing, but as a general matter, you want a department to be consistent in the way it approaches cases. It builds credibility and upholds morale within the department. I think it was the right approach. The question is it was the approach that was taken up until January 0th this of this year . In other words, is that the approach that the last administration used . That will be something for historians to look at and people like yourself, john. You know, im commenting this morning on it. But the idea that its said we need to biv like a democratic organization. So its unequal, unsymmetrical as it were here. John, its either right or its wrong. If its right, you do the right thing. Thats the way i would approach these kinds of decisions. Irrespective of what the last guy did, what the last administration did, what the previous party did, you do whats right for the american people. And, look, thats clearly the argument Merrick Garland was making yesterday. And, by the way, its the argument Merrick Garland made during his nomination and promised when he began the job. Awant to talk about Don Mcgahns testimony behind closed doors. Is a job that you, too, once had inside the White House. You have an interesting perspective here. Look. Don mcgahn among other things that hi was told to do something that he thought was inaccurate or illegal. He was asked to write a letter that was a lie, he thought, or inaccurate as he put it about whether or not he had been instructed to remove robert mueller. Thats a problem for a White House counsel as you note because of who they represent, correct . But Don Mcgahn did the right thing. Here you have an example of where the institutional guardrails actually worked. Don mcgahn under that his allegiance to the constitution and american people, of course, you work with the president for the president , for the White House, but in this particular case, it doesnt give you the Authority Or Permission to lie to cover up a whereondoing. If i was asked by President Bush which i never was asked by President Bush do something unlawful, we would have talked. And if he didnt comply, i would have resigned. I would have made a public statement but not while working in the White House, but i would have done my darn best to make sure the White House wasnt engaged in any kind of wrongdoing. Former tone jern real, former White House counsel, alberto gonzales, Unique Perspective. Thanks as always for joining us this morning. Thanks, john. Free beer, free joints, cold hard cash, states getting creative with incentives to get people vaccinated. But a former Attorney General says that may not be such a good idea. One way were making a difference. Less than a month go which is the biden Administrations Target Date to get at least one Vaccine Shot for 70 of the population. Right now the pace is lagging a bit behind, so federal and state governments are offering incentives that range from free beer to marijuana joints. Are there any other kind . I dont think so. Just to get people to sign up for the shot. Joining me now is former jirn general jerome adams. Thanks so much for being with us. Beer . Joints . How you do feel about those as incentives . First of all i want to give credit where credit is due. Were in the last leg of the relay and its proves more difficult that many imagined. Governments and businesses are contemplating an array of enticements. Heres the thing. Its always been a dilemma in public health policy. Covid is no exception. You have prevention of Drug Use and a national plan to address the perils of Over Use of Alcohol Consumption and gun giveaways. Others are participating a giant beer commercial. Im all for doing whatever we can to get people vaccinated but i wonder if its impacting the normal health. I hear what youre saying. Its a Value Judgment they have to make. Its a scientific judgment too. Whats the harm . Whats the benefit . Fair point. What they are up against in terms of getting people vaccinated im not saying this justifies the beer and the joints, which isnt a federal program. Its a state program. Theyre up against this wave of information, misinformation in some cases thats been normalized, shocking misinformation thats been normalized and in some places almost sanctioned by state federal officials, right . You have this Ohio Testimony where republican lawmakers called in a socalled doctor who made claims about people being magnetized if they take the vaccine. Just learn to this. What is it thats actually being transmitted thats causing all of these things . Is it a combination of the protein which now were finding has a metal attached to it. Im sure youve seen the pictures all over the internet of people who have hadmagnetize. They can put a key on their forehead and it sticks, a spoon, a fork, and it sticks. What are you doing when you see people in sworn testimony about that. I agree with you. Im deeply bothered by the misinformation out there. Heres what we know from science. The way you get people to change their behavior is by engaging them. What ive been pleading for, what i want the federal, state, and local officials to do is to sit down and engage these communities with trusted stakeholders. Get shots in doctors offices. We arent quite there yet. Work with work sites. Youre hearing about the J J vaccines are about to be thrown away. Im working with a company on the border of texas to see if we can get some of these vaccines available for people coming ban and forth across the border. There are ways to get more people vaccinated and we need to combat this mississippi i miss the johnson johnson vaccine, theyren to be thrown away. Isnt that Sa Shame . It is a shame. We knew we were going to get to this point. Now comes the hard Apartment Weve got to double down on engagement and really looking at people, the latino community, they have their causes. The africanamerican community has their causes for hesitancy and the Blark American Community and we have to get stakeholders to get the Information And Access to help people mate the right choice i had a chance to talk to an author on a new book. One of the things he talked about with me is the sense of almost the despair he has that lives were lost that didnt need to be lost. Listen to what he said to me. I think about it a lot. Its very disturbing to consider that hundreds of thousands of lives might have been spared if there had been a higher standard of leadership in charge of this effort. Is that something that haunts you . Well, i absolutely as a doctor am haunted by any single death that occurs. An important perspective here. I believe the person youre talking about, you have a journalist, a writer trying to sell a book. You should talk to scott gottlieb, a doctor, a scientist. You should have me back on when my book comes out and well bring out everything. Heres the thing. If you blame it on trump, you ignore the funding and the Culture Wars that led us to where we are that Predated Trump and you ignore the fact that france, spain, italy, the uk, belgium all have per Capita Death rates that were very similar to ours Base Thond Populism that exists beyond trump and beyond the united states. So, again, lets look at leadership, but lets also look at the other ingredients that help lead to this deadly pandemic. Dr. Jerome adams, you just booked yourself back on our show for when your book comess this morning. We look forward to speaking with you in the future. Thank you, john. A strange site at several major league ballparks this season. The same Fan Unfurling Trump won banners. Hes been ejected from each stadium including Yankee Stadium where you see him here. Thats where our Cnn Reporter is live for us this morning. Shimon, weve taken notice. Whats happening here . Reporter yeah. Its the same individual according to online posts, his own admissions, that hes getting inside stadiums, buying tickets, and seating himself in strategic locations where he can unfold these banners whether its upper Deck Or Center field, somewhere where he can place it, unfurl it, and security moving in fairly quickly and removing him. As you said now, there have been three incidents, the latest happening at Fenway Park during a Boston Red sox game on monday. The security theres Jecting Him Out of the stadium. Two weeks ago at yankee he did it. And two weeks before coming to Yankee Stadium, he did the same thing at Citi Field where the mets play here in New York, in queens. Security across baseball is taking it seriously. When they see him, they throw him out of the stadium. So far hes not doing knell illegally burkes certainly there are concerns at stadiums because youre not supposed to post anything, put any kind of banners, walls, or fencing at the stadium, so security has thrown him out. Hes admitting hes doing all of this in online posts. Brianna, certainly you can expect that stadiums in the future, security at stadiums going on, going forward here are going to be on the lookout for this to try to prevent him from entering the stadium. You can see its hard for them to do that until actually this happens with whats going on. Thank you so much. A florida high School Yearbook Club was forced to temporarily halt distribution in sales of the yearbook after some parents and teachers complained about the black Lives Matter dedicated pages in the yearbook. They say it should have included all Lives Matter. Now it includes a printed message that says views expressed in the Year Book are not sponsored by the district. Joining us now is an adviser of the Year Book and the coeditor. Shes also a senior whos graduating today. Congratulations to that very much, kennedy. Its a Big Day for you. But mr. Fleischer, to you first. Tell us what your reaction is what it was when the school first told you to stop the distribution of the first sales and what it was you learned why they were doing that. I was absolutely shocked. I couldnt believe that our book would have its sales stopped for any reason, let alone black Lives Matter. When they called it a political movement, when i read that for the first time in the letter, it was probably one of the most disheartening things that i ever read. My students i care about them so much. I care about them. I love them. I love what they stand for. And to know that the district doesnt necessarily feel the same way by taking this stance, its really hard. Kennedy, what was your reaction . How do you feel about what happened . I was hurt. I was shocked. Very confused. When the school or when the district decided to take the position to say it was a political movement when its not. Its a Human Rights movement, i was even more disheartened and offended. It was rough. What, mr. Fleischer, do you think they meant by Oh Poegz side . What was the opposing side that would be included this Yearbook Page . I think they would have expected us to include some kind of statement about all Lives Matter or specifically about blue Lives Matter, but we didnt think that was appropriate as that would take away from the message and the purpose of the page which is to talk about the facts of whats happening with racism and whats happening with people of color in this country. And, kennedy, your school, there are many students of color at your school, right . Yes. We have a large majority of stud students at west broward high school. What have you learned has gone on . Certainly a lot of them already had their yearbooks, but im sure at the end of the year, every student is waiting for their yearbook and theres a pause. They know whats happening. What were they saying . They were disappointed, and when they found out, they were offended and also disappointed in the school for take the approach. They think the school should have done better and Broward County should have done better. Lets look at their response here. They say they support and encourage Students Freedom of expression. They say after these issues were raised, they paused distribution on Friday Afternoon while the concerns were carefully reviewed, and while they say the yearbook is intended to high light newsworthy happenings, they acknowledge the views and added an insert the views were not sponsored by the district. Mr. Fliecher, what do you think about that . Theyre acknowledging Students Freedom of speech, but theyre defending the fact that they paused the yearbook. Yes, i i really dont understand how they can take that stance. We have a lot of spreads in that yearbook all written by the students about things they care about. This is a student publication, and this is a first like this is a really important thing for them, and we have things about covid, we have things about the election, we have things about p. R. I. D. E. , and to see that they take a stance calling Blm And Racism a political issue, its really offensive, and i just dont understand mr. Fleisher and kennedy, thank you for joining us to talk about whats really been akenne congratulations to you. This is a very Big Day. And good luck in the future. Thank you so much. Sky gazers have been up early. Theyre trying to catch this first Solar Eclipse of the year. This is the Ring Of Fire. Were going to show you some incredible images like this beautiful one. Live pictures of a Ring Of Fire, a real one. Not the June Carter Cash Version there. This is a Solar Eclipse. People in the Northeastern United States could see a partial eclipse earlier this morning. You really want to be in siberia as well as greenland and Northern Canada get the most dramatic show. This eclipse happens when the Moon Crosses between The Sun and the earth as i was just explaining to my next guest, astrophysicist neil Degrasse Tyson. Hes the author of how we got here and where were going. Explain exactly what were seeing, why its happening and the larger cosmic significance. Well, i wore my Eclipse Tie just for you this morning. There we go. The moon going in front of the son. I was on the Brooklyn Bridge this morning. Im a resident of New York city. And there were hundreds of people there at 5 00 in the morning. Children, old people, people on scooters, just to bear witness to this occasion where the moon in its orbit around the world comes between us and The Sun. And as that happens, it takes bites out of The Sun and you have a Crescent Sun which is very unfamiliar. Typically we only think of a crescent moon. A Crescent Sun can be quite striking as it rises over the horizon. So i caught bits of it but then we got clouded out. So it was sad. But i held an impromptu Astronomy Lesson on the bridge for anyone who wanted to listen. Its because im a Jerky Cynic i was joking about the larger cosmic significance. We look up. And we gaze at the sky. And that is significant because that is, you know, the essence of what it means to be human, to ask questions about why were here. Okay. You want me to geek out on you, i will. Watch. Here we have the moon in its orbit around the earth blocking sunlight while The Sun and the Moon Rise from earths rotation. And you have Weather Conditions such as clouds, which make for an interesting photo. All of this is kind of a cosmic ballet choreographed by the forces of gravity. And if you dont look up, youll miss it all. I feel like i need to take a cold shower now. I just want to add to that, as human, were all born curious and we some of us stay curious our entire lives and the deep questions we ask about how did it all begin . What is it made sof . Are we alone in the universe . The eclipse is one of the things that celebrate Human Curiosity and what it took to figure out whats going on when you look up. One of the question being asked is who else might be out there . This is so much focus on ufos because of the reports on 60 minutes from the navy pilots, objects that cant be identified. You have a Unique Perspective on this as someone who has been looking for signs of Alien Life for a long time. Yeah, so theres a whole chapter in the book, are we alone . We address what kinds of ways youd ask and answer those questions. And i wish we had better evidence than monochromatic fuzzy navy video. You know, if were being visited by aliens, we upload 6 Billion Highresolution Color photos and videos to the internet every day. We have unwittingly crowdsourcing the observation of the planet. And i just want better evidence than that. And just because you dont know what it is doesnt mean you then know what it is. Im content saying thats mysterious. I dont know. Maybe its a glitch in the hardware. If you say, no, its not a glitch in the hardware, are you really sure . Are you so sure that youre ready to believe that intelligent aliens are coming to visit us and are showing up on F17 Fighter Pilot video . Is that more likely to you than maybe you missed something in your hardware . So i just go, keep looking for the aliens. And im glad the pentagon had a program to look for lights in the sky that could harm us. Yeah. Okay. 700 billion. Put a fraction of that to protect us in case any of that is an Enemy Craft or even if its aliens. But im just saying, my big fear is that the aliens already landed but they landed during comiccon and No One noticed them because everybody was dressed just like us. I want to ask you about comments and questions asked by Congressman Louie Gohmert during a hearing yesterday. He was asking about well, just listen. I was informed by the past director of nasa that they have found that the Moons Orbit is changing slightly and so is the Earths Orbit around The Sun. We know theres been significant solar flare activity. So is there anything that the national Forest Service or blm can do to change the course of the Moons Orbit or the Earths Orbit around The Sun . Obviously, that would have profound effects on our climate. So he was asking that question to a forest official. And i dont have the magical superpower to get in louie gohmerts head. We cant move the moon so we cant effect Climate Change somehow but whats your take away . No, i mean, okay, first, lets be chlor when he says blm, the bureau of land management, not the black Lives Matter movement. I presume. Thats first. Second, i dont see it sounds a little crazy but what hes speaking of is something called geoengineering. Its doing largescale things that have largescale consequences. We already kind dove that. We change the direction of rivers. We dam rivers for our service. We build islands where there was just water before. Thats all geoengineering. And were also geoengineering by warming the planet. So if he wants to think of a Geoengineering Solution that could help it, i dont have a problem with it. People thought of putting
