They published a report but also put out 200 pages of information in the annex there. A source close to the panel said investigators were particularly surprised to read within that annex that on december 7, 2019, china instituted widespread screening of animals potentially cure years or carriers of coronavirus in the hubei province. On december 7th. Thats just one day, in fact, before china says it discovered the first onset of symptoms in a human being. Now, we asked china what is this extraordinary coincidence about and they said its part of regular testing that they do in that area to check animals for new diseases. Obviously this testing was done a few months later and the Animal Samples put in storage when Novel Coronavirus Tests became available, but its an extraordinary coincidence that this screening was happening just at the very early parts of december when china publicly says it wasnt aware sarscov2 was circulating. A simple explanation they say but also it involves lots of these Animal Samples being stored by china which potentially give w. H. O. Investigators a library of things they could look at to see what potentially may have happened in the past or even since the outbreak of the coronavirus. So an interesting point there, too, and one that strangely in the annex conflicts with another Data Point in which a hospital said it destroyed a lot of Human Samples of tissue that it had collected around that time as well. But this source close to panel says these are all things that the w. H. O. Investigators really want to get back into wuhan and hubei to continue investigating. They dont have a dit for that yet, they think they might have to send small teams in first and then a large one possibly to capitalize on those results. But also within this annex interestingly our references to the substantial Influenza Outbreak that happened in December 2019 as well. Unclear if this was the beginnings of the coronavirus or completely unrelated or just made it hard to find the outbreak of the coronavirus, too. Another key Data Point they are interested in as well is in fact the rise in excess mortality. Thats a good sign often in countries where people arent able to look precisely for positive tests for coronavirus of who might have been affected. They say that in january there was a substantial rise in excess mortality in Wuhan City first, possibly suggesting the disease began in the city not in the surrounding regions that may even suggest that the disease first popped up in november 2019. A lot more to be investigated, a lot of accusations about transparency and fascinating Data Points frankly inside this w. H. O. In the terms of the ceasefire, we are not clear exactly won what may be discussed about how they will maintain the ceasefire. The ceasefire was described an an unconditional ceasefire.
