It shows officers at his Cell Door for several minutes telling him to put his hands to be cuffed and if he does not comply, theyll use force. The officer can be seen spraying Pepper Spray into his cell a short time later. After several failed attempts to coach him out, he was hit with more Pepper Spray. This time deputies told sutherland to get on his stomach. Deputies tased sutherland multiple times and he can be seen and heard screaming on the ground. Twominutes later he was cuffed and pulled out of his cell. Mental illness does not give anybody the right to put their h hands on my child. He was already afraid and confused about the situation and there was nobody in there to talk to him with any compassionate to try to reason with him. But he was carried off to jail. Nobody at the hospital ever called me, and im his guardian. I should have been notified what is going on with jamal at every time. So he was taken out. He was put into the jail. To my view, he wasnt treated fairly from the moment he got there. They were teasing him. They were calling him names, and they upset him than he was.
