Pushed a bill through the wyoming State Legislature to create a runoff in the primary system that would make it easier for cheney and anticheney candidate to emerge. That bill failed. I think shes right about one thing, which is that republicans have long had a problem with the optics of the leadership of their party in congress, and that they have tried to bring in and maintain women in these leadership positions. So if theyre going to lose Liz Cheney, theyve got to bring Someone Else in, that person happens to be a woman, Elise Stefanik. There is an element of that, that they want to keep those optics. I also think its not just that. Obviously, the underlying issue here is who is willing to lie about the election and who is not . That is what happens gotten Liz Cheney in trouble. Do i think Donald Trump would be attacking another republican lawmaker if they were a man who is saying the election is not rigged . He probably would be. But at the same time, i think that both things can be true at the same time. Yeah. He always tends to go after women and people of color. Yes. Reporter with a little more verve. Even though there are reservations, and even on the inside, house freedom caucus, they have expressed some concerns about the party consolidating behind her. Just the fact that she has trumps endorsement in this race should be enough for her to replace Liz Cheney and have enough support across the conference, including from those skeptical about her recordment s. She emerged because she decided to take a more prominent role of Attacking Democrats as they moved to impeach Donald Trump the first time and as a result has put her on Donald Trumps radar, got her the trump endorsement. She voted to overturn the electoral results in pennsylvania, signed on to the Texas Lawsuit to throw out millions of votes across battleground states. She makes it very clear where she stands, which is opposite of where Liz Cheney is. Well, you know, first of all, the 19 number, if you start from the bottom and go to the top, that 19 number tracks with what we see with Vaccine Hesitancy and reluctance overall, kids or adults. Theres 19 of the country that basically says theyre just not going to do it. Maybe they come over at some point, maybe not. But that sort of tracks. The moveable middle, the middle of that graph that you showed, thats more, obviously, where the target is going to be. I think the case has to be made why vaccinate The Kids . Havent we heard kids are less likely to get sick . So why vaccinate them . And i think that thats the case that will have to be made. Kids can still potentially get sick, although the risk is lower. If a kid gets sick even with minimal symptoms, they could have long hauling symptoms. This is not a virus you want. You want to avoid this, young or old. More practically speaking, what your daughter is reacting to, my daughter is certainly reacting to, is this may allow them to do things. Yep. They otherwise wouldnt be able to do. You have to make that case for people, kids or adults. Im going to be first in line with The Kids as soon as theyre allowed to get the vaccines. I would like to see, is there evidence of people becoming reinfected . Has someone had the vaccine, and gotten reinfected and gotten sick . If thats the case then youre making the argument that boosters will be needed. We havent seen this yet. Hopefully, we dont need this yearly like a flu shot. We just dont know correct. Is negotiating in good faith and an incentive for iran to come back to the table to negotiate. It is something that the iranians have wanted for a long time. Its 1 to 2 Billion . Its their money . Its iranian money . It is, yes. Its iranian assets that have been frozen in accounts in the united states for a very long t time. This is something, again, that could not be used by iran for just anything, not to boost their economy or maligned activities but controlled by the swiss that can be used to purchase humanitarian goods for iran as a goodFaith Effort for these negotiations. How does the biden Administration Plan to get around the sanctions that already exist . They cant just release a bunch of cash on their own, can they . Right. So you think it will get them to the table or you dont . I think eventually it will. The iranians need us more than we need them. We need them, obviously, to get inspectors back into iran to ensure theyre not doing enrichment to the levels that you can make a weapon, but their economy is in rough shape. Theyre going through elections where leaders in power now want to say were trying to improve the economy. They really want to trade on international markets. Most of their economy is built on oil. They need us. Had is a way for them to say maybe the americans are serious after withdrawing in 2018. Its a start and i think theyll take it seriously. Of course, there are concerns about what this means for larger population centers, because language included in these bills that specifically targets counties that have more than 1 Million residents. I was speaking with congressman joaquin castro. He said his greatest concern is that it seems to target more diverse areas that more population dense and it would take resources away from them. He noted that coincidentally many of these places targeted voted for democrats in the election. There are still several steps even if this passes the house here in texas today. Secret service admitted on Capitol Hill Today that his agency was not prepared for the January 6th insurrection. He blamed it on part on a lack of training for officers. They really werent prepared for the Scope And Scale and duration of this attack. The secret Service Director James Murray said his people werent trained for civil disturbance, they didnt have the right equipment. This was about getting more funding for the Secret Service so they can have more training, have this equipment and crucially have better access to intelligence that could tell them about this in realtime off the internet from these public sources. Despite admitting the Secret Service was not prepared for the insurrection, the director nonetheless said if they had been in charge of Capital Security that day, it would have been safer and more secure. That would have put Secret Service in the lead. It would have allowed for more resources, more law enforcement, crucially also more fencing, a broader perimeter around the capitol that would have kept those rioters back.
