Chris Boyd confirms Covid-19 case at Northampton Saints rugby club


New Zealand coach Chris Boyd says his Northampton Saints team has had a positive Covid-19 case.
Northampton’s New Zealand coach Chris Boyd says the Saints will still field a team against London Irish on Sunday (Monday NZ time) despite a player testing positive for the Covid-19 virus.
Two English Rugby Premiership matches were postponed last weekend with teams affected by coronavirus outbreaks, but Northampton have still been able to train with a depleted squad.
The Daily Telegraph. "It's been identified from an external source; a sibling of one of the boys.
"The boys have been really vigilant, the club's been really vigilant. You often can't control these things when they happen. We're not saying that other people haven't been very good about [controlling Covid infections] but, so far, we've been pretty decent.’’
