Article content While many Calgarians may not be old enough to have had the experience of cracking open the Yellow Pages to find plumbers, dry cleaners, and vacuum repair shops dubbing themselves “A1” or “AAA” to be the first listed in the book, Thank You Hospitality’s Cody Willis remembers fondly the simplicity of those alphabetically advantageous business names. That was the idea behind the restaurateur naming his new Britannia Mexican restaurant A1 Cantina, rather than billing it as a second location of Native Tongues, the Victoria Park taqueria he co-owns. The cantina is the second A1 restaurant under Willis’s Thank You Hospitality banner. His A1 Café and Bodega replaced the company’s Two Penny restaurant this past summer, but Willis says that he developed the concept around the Cantina first.
