Under the guidance of District Legal Services Authority member-secretary and senior civil judge Parashuram F Doddamani, 11 children were rescued from forced labour in Hubballi. The National Child Rights Protection Commission, Assistant Labour Commissioner of Dharwad & Hubballi division, and Labour department conducted a rescue operation. Legal action has been taken against the owners of establishments that employed these children.
