CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Charlottesville City Council held another emergency closed meeting Monday, January 11, to discuss the holes in leadership.
Councilors had previously held an emergency meeting Friday, Jan. 8.
Charlottesville is still on the search for its next City Manager following the resignation of Tarron Richardson. Richardson resigned at the end of September without a specific reason.
Councilor Michael Payne says the city is in a leadership crisis, and councilors need to develop a plan with next steps and communicate that with the public. Payne also says that public discourse will be a must in the coming months.
