WORCESTER — The floodgates of memories were in full swing for two special ladies celebrating 100 and 101 years on earth, give or take a couple of weeks. Lillian “Lilly” Kane, who turned 101 April 4, and Florence M. Scarpaci, who will turn 100 May 10, were honored Wednesday at Tatnuck Park assisted living facility, where the two reside. Complete with cardboard tiaras and crepe paper sashes, the two Central Mass. centenarians were overjoyed and a little bit overwhelmed by the outpouring of well wishes from fellow residents, facility staff and a few choice members from the local media. With their minds still sharp as tacks, Kane and Scarpaci shared stories from a lifetime of experiences, as well as 100 years of life-lessons and inherited wisdoms for anyone who asked.
