Canadian Biker Speeds Through Houlton Border without Stopping
A New Brunswick man faces multiple charges after speeding through the Houlton border crossing and leading police on a pursuit.
East Millinocket Police were asked to help locate the motorcycle shortly before 2:00 Monday afternoon. They were told that the bike, driven by 27-year-old Jeremy Richard of New Brunswick, Canada had just passed through the Houlton border crossing with stopping at U.S. Customs. The Border Patrol notified police, as they chased the motorcycle southbound on I-95, sometimes reaching speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. As the motorcycle neared Medway, officers clocked it at more than 150 miles per hour and alerted police in the area.
