On March 21, Governor Andy Beshear and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced that the Lewis Ridge Pumped Storage Project was approved for a federal grant to help construct a $1.3 billion coal-to-pumped storage hydropower facility in Bell County. But is such a project feasible in our local counties?
