Businesses add cold weather to challenges on Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day already was always going to be different this year with the pandemic. Now, businesses are adding extreme cold to the mix.
Officials with two flower shops said Valentine's Day orders are looking good, considering Sundays are traditionally a lackluster Valentine's Day for sales.
"Business is not as good as we had hoped, but probably better than a typical Sunday Valentine's Day, with it being the year of COVID," said Tina Bradley, manager of Allen's Flowers, 401 S. Providence Road.
The shop has been in business in Columbia since 1937, but not in the same location. Its owner is Sandra Ferguson, who started as a worker there in 1973.
