According to Mr. Kanaabi Jimmy, the FDC candidate for LC5 for Buikwe District said that he got a call that his team has been arrested but the police was not giving the reason. “I got a call that my team has been arrested and over seven people with the member of parliament elect for Buikwe south. We are very sure that my opponent’s team from the NRM, Mr. Mathias Kigongo, is in the field giving out money with the help of the police. I want to assure our supporters that we shall not give up,” Mr. Kanaabi said. All the suspects were driven by police vehicles to Nyenga police station to record a statement and the police was cordoned off not to allow anyone access.
