The Budget has a long-term vision for this decade on environmental sustainability. It is marked by wisely planned investments in the control of air pollution, providing potable water, deep-sea biodiversity conservation and promoting renewable energy. These steps are reflected in the fact that the environment forms an integral part of many of the six pillars of the Budget.
