At 16 years old, I feel the daily anxiety of the uncertain future. That may be normal for someone my age in the ideals of college and career planning, but that’s not what I’m referring to. Quite frankly, I may not be able to see a long-lived, successful career for the reason of the human race’s apparent fragility. All I hear about is how my generation “is the future.” The future looks like a challenging feat, seeing the impact of the large mistakes by past generations at hand. I was asked the question, “Why does Earth Day matter to you?” and lord, is that a loaded question.
