A man stole a fire truck and led dozens of police cars on a high-speed chase as he raced from Miami-Dade to Palm Beach County Thursday evening, sirens wailing, while nearby drivers wondered what kind of emergency could warrant such a response. The pursuit ended when Broward Sheriff's Office deputies arrested a suspect in Boynton Beach.
