Mackay's only legal brothel is back on the market after interstate investors pulled out of the most promising signs it could reopen.
Club 7 in Paget was successfully operating "for many years" before the economic downturn in the greater Mackay area struck, forcing it to close in July 2015.
Business Brokers Queensland's Ron Frank in October 2019 revealed he was in the process of confirming a potential Victorian lessee to take over the brothel, but to no avail.
But things could be about to pick up with the Prostitution Licencing Authority confirming an application had been submitted and was to be considered as early as this year.
