BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Several Broomfield police officers spent a good part of Sunday morning looking for debris from United Airlines flight 328.
A right engine failure caused an explosion Saturday afternoon as the Boeing 777 was heading from Denver to Honolulu.
AirTracker7 showed the debris scattered across the Broomfield area, including County Commons Park.
On Sunday, pieces of the engine could still be seen on the ground, although in sometimes hard-to-find places.
David Clemans, who lives near Broomfield County Commons Park, also found some small pieces during his morning walk. He says the park is typically packed on a normal weekend.
