Brooks Macdonald sees record FUM as financial planning revenue falls By Sonia Rach 11 Caroline Connellan Brooks Macdonald reported a 13.3 per cent increase in its funds under management, just as it saw revenue for its financial planning arm fall. In its half year results, it reported total FUM grew to a record £15.5bn at 31 December 2020, up from £13.7bn six months prior. The firm said this was driven by “robust investment performance” of 9.5 per cent despite volatile markets, compared to an increase of 6.5 per cent MSCI PIMFA Private Investor Balanced Index. During the same period, the firm saw revenue fall slightly from £2m to £1.9m for its financial planning arm.
