Brisbane weather: More SEQ showers as parts of Queensland see highest rainfall in months

Queenslanders are rejoicing after receiving the most rainfall they have seen in months, with more showers forecast for the south-east over coming days.
Thursday will be the wettest day for the week for Brisbane, before the system moves to the Gold Coast.
Rain is forecast for south-east Queensland on February 25.

Parts of the Brisbane region were hit with up to 70 millimetres on Wednesday night.
The Bureau of Meteorology said rainfall across the CBD and in central Queensland saw significant totals, with areas around Mt Glorious, west of the city, receiving almost 80 millimetres.
The Gold and Sunshine coasts also received high totals, with Tallebudgera and Caloundra seeing 76 millimetres and 66 millimetres respectively.
