The lure of quick money to allow bribe-offering power consumers to avail zero electricity bills has led to the sacking of 35 meter readers of the PSPCL. Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL)’s Ludhiana office has sacked 35 outsourced employees in the last one and half years for taking bribes in exchange for helping ineligible consumers avail the benefit of zero electricity bill scheme of the state government.
