A foodbank which delivers food to centres in Swaffham and Fakenham has been given a funding boost.
Breckland Council has provided £2,500 funding to the Mid-Norfolk Foodbank, to secure a new storage unit to help meet the increasing public demand for the community foodbank services.
The funding will ensure volunteers can operate safely in extended premises, store additional food donations and meet the growing need for their services.

Compared with March to November 2019 to the same period in 2020, demand for support from the foodbank has risen by 50 per cent - with more than 46 tonnes of food given out in mid-Norfolk since the pandemic began.
