Boyfriend charged with murder of Birmingham woman killed day after her birthday Updated Mar 01, 2021; The boyfriend of a woman killed in Birmingham the day after her 33rd birthday has been charged in her slaying. Leonard Charles Tolbert, 37, is charged with murder in the shooting death of LaTeshia Danner. The day before Danner’s killing, Tolbert posted this on Facebook: “I want to take the time out to acknowledge 1 special beautiful intelligent woman that I truly love to the moon and back a Happy Birthday. I hope u enjoy every moment of this day and create valuable memories that can’t be replace (sic).”
