View Comments Following a contentious regular meeting on Tuesday, the Bossier City Council on Thursday unanimously approved 26th Judicial District Judge Charles Jacobs to serve as Bossier City’s attorney and the hiring of Richard Ray as assistant city attorney. “I just want to express my appreciation to the mayor and the council,” Jacobs said after receiving a standing ovation fom the council on his appointment. “I’m honored to have been considered and to have been confirmed for the position. I know I’m replacing a man that was of the utmost confidence (former Bossier City Attorney Jimmy Hall). I will strive to follow his example and I look forward to working with the council and the mayor as the attorney for the entire city.”
