(File) London: The most senior black adviser to Prime Minister Boris Johnson stepped down, Downing Street said on Thursday that a day after the government-commissioned report expressed displeasure over saying structural racism did not exist in Britain. A spokesman for No. 10 said Samuel Kasamu would step down as special adviser to Downing Street for civil society and communities in May. According to Politico, Kasumu submitted his resignation last week and informed colleagues on Wednesday morning, as the controversial report was issued by Race and Ethnic Disparities (CRED).
