Jammu,June 07 (Scoop News)-Bharatiya Janata Party Kashmir Displaced District (KDD) organized a Beneficiary Sammelan under the leadership of its President Chand Ji Bhat, in Tika Lal Taploo Mandal, Jagti.
The programme was organized in conjunction with various events and programmes under Jan Maha Sampark Abhiyaan of BJP at PAN India level.
Munish Sharma, senior BJP leader & Prabhari District Kathua, Girdhari Lal Raina, former MLC, J&K BJP Spokesperson & Prabhari KDD, Hira Lal Bhat (Seh-Prabhari KDD) were the prominent leaders on the occasion, while Pt. Tota Ram Terali, a veteran party worker of Jana Sangha times, presided over the function.
Programme began with the recitation of the National Song ,"Vande Matram " followed by a song hailing 9 years of Modi government, sung by Smt Shama, KDD Mahila Morcha activist.
A large number of beneficiaries who have availed the benefits of various welfare schemes of Modi government like Ayushmaan Bharat health insurance, Jan Aushadalaya, PM Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) & other schemes were honored by Munish Sharma and other BJP leaders.
Girdhari Lal Raina brought the historical perspective of ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Hindus in Kashmir into the focus and said that the population of Hindus in Kashmir in 1931 was 15%, which was reduced to 8% in 1947. Thereafter the ill conceived and anti Hindu policies adopted by the Congress, NC, and their likes resulted in complete ethnic cleansing of Hindus in Kashmir and now there is less than 1% Hindu population in Kashmir. However, under the Modi government, historical decisions of scrapping of Article 370 & 35A were taken and now a ray of hope has awakened that Kashmiri Hindus will again retrieve back their homes, hearths, temples & shrines in Kashmir.
Munish Sharma thoroughly discussed the public welfare policies of Modi government starting from Jan Dhan accounts, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, Aushman Bharat scheme, Jan Aushadalaya, Ujjwala gas Yojna, Beti bachao, beti padhao, Surakhshit Matritu, Matri Vandana scheme, Kissan Nidhi, Start-ups, Sukanya yojna, hike in old age & destitute pension and other welfare schemes. He said that the matter of some welfare schemes, which are not being implemented in favour of the displaced community, shall be taken up with the authorities.
Chand Jee Bhat, in his speech, described the welfare initiatives taken by Modi government to ameliorate sufferings of Kashmiri displaced community and reminded the tortures, trauma and atrocities inflicted on the Kashmiri displaced Hindu community during the rule of Congress & other parties before 2014.
Smt Dolly Raina, KDD Mahila Morcha President, told how a helping hand was extended to Displaced community womenfolk by Modi government and in Jagti our hand made products, cushion covers, bags etc are being online marketed in USA and they get exceptionally good returns.
H.L. Bhat while presenting vote of thanks urged them to take the message of what they heard from the leaders here to every member of the community and trust the strong & able leadership of Modi Ji.
Pyare Lal Pandita, Mandal President, Tika Lal Taploo Mandal, welcomed the guests, while ML Padro (Mandal Vice president) anchored the program.
Besides, dozens of beneficiaries of various centrally sponsored public welfare schemes participated in the programme.
