Birmingham Business Alliance names new CEO

The Birmingham Business Alliance has a new president and CEO.
Ron Kitchens has a 30-year career in economic development in Missouri, Texas and Michigan. He is coming to Birmingham from economic development consulting firm Southwest Michigan First, where he has been since 2005. Kitchens is senior partner and CEO.
In resigning his post last week, he said the move is also being made to be closer to family, according to MLive. In a statement, Kitchens said he is honored to accept the post during a challenging moment for America’s economy.
