Bill Halstead, Sandy Hook's leading volunteer for half a cen

A leading volunteer in a town based in volunteerism. That’s how the first selectman in Newtown remembers the long-time chief of the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire and Rescue company Bill Halstead. He died last Friday.
