Biden Is Restoring Aid to the Palestinians. Here's Why That's a Good Thing | Opinion

Many Palestinians heaved a sigh of relief this week. On Wednesday, Secretary of State Antony Blinkenannounced the restoration of U.S. aid to the Palestinians three years after the Trump administration cut it off. Trump cut U.S. funding to East Jerusalem Hospitals, peace-building initiatives and the Palestinian Authority, as well as to the controversial UN Relief and Works Agency, known as UNRWA. The new aid package will restore that funding, with $150 million going to UNRWA, $75 million going toward economic and development assistance, and $10 million for USAID peace-building programs.
