We start in the middle east, where israel says hezbollah has fired over 150 missiles into the country, following extensive israeli Air Strikes in lebanon on saturday. The rockets targeted the city of haifa, nearly 30km from the border with lebanon, and the Ramat David Airbase further south. In the city, and in areas near the northern border, in anticipation of a fresh aerial assault. These pictures show part of an intercepted rocket that was launched from lebanon and fell near nazareth in the early hours of sunday. Israel has been carrying out more Air Raids in southern lebanon. Saturday saw constant strikes and counter strikes between the idf and hezbollah, which is designated a Terrorist Organisation by several western countries. In a statement, prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said israel had inflicted a series of heavy blows on hezbollah, saying if they havent understood the message yet, they will. Lebanons Health Ministry now says 45 people, including women and children, were killed in fridays israeli attack on beirut. Hezbollah says that includes 16 of its members. And these are live pictures from haifa where hezbollah has targeted its attacks. In a statement, the iranian backed Militia Group said it was in response to the Pager And Walkie talkie blasts earlier this week. 0ur Correspondent injerusalem, daniel de simone, explained more about where those strikes have landed. Well, the israeli military has said overnight and into this morning, around 150 projectiles, missiles were fired into israel or at israel. Most is from lebanon. The military say there was some incoming missiles or drones from iraq, and iran as well. But most of them are from hezbollah. What the military spokesperson was saying publicly earlier in the briefing, some of these have gone further and deeper than previously seen. We have actually seen some of these missiles gone further south than previously seen from hezbollah during this near year long conflict between Israel And Hezbollah. That will be a concern for israelis and the military, it will show hezbollah is still capable of firing deep into israel. Certainly it is known hezbollah have significant missile capacity, it can fire long range rockets. Last night the israeli Air Force carried out extensive Air Strikes in southern lebanon. They said they did that in anticipation of significant attacks by hezbollah. Today the israeli military saying despite the fact there was extensive incoming fire from hezbollah, it would have been worse had they not carried out those strikes last night. In terms of the damage here, some homes have been struck, some injuries. The israeli authorities have closed Schools Today and certainly Tomorrow Night in northern israel. Hospitals have been told to operate only in secure areas. 0ne Hospital in haifa has been moving patients to an underground car park. The beaches have been closed, and also gatherings have been restricted. You cant gather. People cant gather in greater numbers than ten outside or 100 inside. People have been told they must be near somewhere that is protected at all times, somewhere like a Bomb Shelter or somewhere that is safe. Lawyers representing women allegedly raped or sexually assaulted by the late billionaire mohamed Al Fayed say theyve received around 100 new inquiries about the investigation. The former Harrods Boss has been accused of assault by 37 women many of whom were employees of the Luxury Department Store during his ownership. Harrods current owners say they are appalled by the allegations. 0ur Correspondent Tom Symonds reports. This isntjust a british scandal. Mohamed Al Fayed was an internationalfigure, his domain one of the worlds best known department stores. The repercussions of what he did are now spreading around the world with allegations from europe, australia, canada and the us. The Bbc Documentary contained account after account of women finding themselves alone with a powerful sexual predator. When i walked through the doors to start myjob there, i was excited. At no point in time did i ever anticipate being on the Receiving End of an attempted rape. Ijoined harrods because i wanted to be a buyer, and i ended up working for an absolute monster. An outstanding question who knew what was going on . Was it covered up at harrods . The lawyers are calling it a corporate metoo moment. They want a public inquiry. Thank you for the tip lets turn to germany, where voters in the east state of brandenburg are heading to the polls to elect a new regional government. The Anti Migrant, far right alternative for germany, also known as afd, could win the most votes in the former east german state. Earlier in the month, the afd won a major german election for the first time, coming first in the eastern state of thuringia. Latest polling in brandenburg had the afd in the lead with 28 . 0ur Europe Correspondent Mark Lowen told me how significant these results could be. This is a state that brandenburg that has been ruled by the Social Democratic Party of 0laf Schulz since German Reunification in 1990. So if that party loses brandenburg, it would be a major setback for the party and a major setback also for 0laf Schulz, who lives in the state and is hoping to lead the spd into germanys federal elections next year, but is, according to polls, the least popular chancellor since German Reunification. So if the spd were to lose, to come second to the afd, there would be even deeper questions over his ability to lead the party into those elections next year. But also just consider germanys history. 20th Century history. I mean, were talking about a country that, of course, lived through the the nazis and the second World War and is now seeing this far right party, which is classified in some states as right wing extremist, topping the polls in regional elections. When they won in thuringia earlier this month, it was seen as a political earthquake, the biggest electoral victory for the far right since the second World War. If it wins in brandenburg, that would show the strength of that party nationwide. And it would be a major shock to many germans who feel extremely concerned about the far right, Anti Migrant positions of that party. But it has managed to capitalise on voters concerns about immigration, about the continuing cost of supporting ukraine and of young people, frankly, across germany, who are hungry for change and an end to the old political establishment here. But practically speaking, what chance does the Afd Party have in forming a coalition and being able to access regional or federal government . Well, no party has said that it is willing to work with the afd. So even if it wins in brandenburg today, its unlikely to get into office. And even if the spd were to come second, it probably would manage to cobble together a continuing coalition. But the Spd Leader in brandenburg has said that he would resign if the party comes second to the afd. So even though they may not actually get into office in the regional election, even if they were not to be able to get into office and form a government in next years federal election, what this is showing us today is clearly that what were seeing right across europe, which is the rising support for the far right, the strength of the far right, which has managed to shake up the political establishment really across europe. And its capitalising on all these concerns about immigration. I mean, you know, youll remember back in 2016, at the height of the migration crisis, germany let in 1. 5 million migrants, and they were welcomed and they were cheered by angela merkel. This is a very different germany today. It is a country where migrants increasingly feel ostracised, threatened, where there is a growing weariness, where there have been attacks by some migrants that have been seized upon by the afd to push their political message. And that is really the main reason that explains that partys rise to the position that theyre at today. Earlier this year, headteachers in england were given more powers to restrict or even ban the use of smartphones in schools, due to concerns about the impact they have on students learning and behaviour. But what effect are the new rules having . 0ur Reporter Amy Garcia has been to a Secondary School in the north of england which has decided to go phone free. Into week three that we have whats in there, around half a dozen Mobile Phones we have confiscated from a population of nearly 1600, and we have a couple of headphones in there. When will these pupils get their phones back . The phone is actually kept overnight and the parents are asked to come and collect. Forge valley high school is getting tough on Mobile Phones. Head Teacher Dale admits previous rules of phones turned off and Out Of Sight was not working, and three weeks into the new policy, things feel different. Last year, wed see children walking into school with their phones out, glued to the screen. Children just covertly just checking their phones, and in lessons, children distracted. That is gone. You Cant Pay Attention because youre exhausted cause you have been up till two in the morning on Social Media. That is absolutely going to have a really significant impact. In personal health development class, these year 11s are learning about the effects smart phones and Social Media can have on their mental health. Teachers here believe it goes hand in hand with becoming a phone free school. This is the generation of kids who have just grown up with devices and Social Media and it is normal to them. Unless we put this information in front of them, they are not really thinking about why they are behaving that way. Phones, smart watches, even headphones are banned. So, what do the pupils think . You are both sixth formers, this is quite a strict policy for you, isnt it . What do you make of it all . In some ways, it is good, Me And My Friends will sit and play games and stuff in our break and actually interact with Each Other, which is not something we did before. Im speaking to a lot more people that i would not really speak to. It might take some time to get used to with the other students. In what way . Like, not going to the toilets and going on the phones. I i think it is a good policy because ive noticed that im liking things i used to like. Forge valley high says most parents support the Phone Ban but the commute to school is a worry for some. I dont really like it, to be honest, just because if my daughter needs to get in touch with me, shes going to get in trouble for taking her phone out. Which they have been in school two weeks, the phone got confiscated. It is good because i do not think children need distractions while theyre in school. I do think it is important that they can carry the phones around with them because obviously as theyre travelling to and from school. I think the dangers of Social Media and the ability of smartphones and the world it opens kids up to is kind of more dangerous than walking to and from schools. The school says reasonable adjustments have been made for pupils living far away to ensure their safety. And tracking devices are available for those who want to know where their children are. Earlier this year, the Department Of Education updated its guidance on Mobile Phones, giving School Leaders the powers to ban or restrict them. Some say that guidance does not go far enough and schools like this are taking their own lead. Mr barrowclough believes more schools will become phone free once they see the benefits here. There is improvement in Pupils Attention levels and children seem more relaxed, they are more engaged in lessons. We are noting children are interacting with Each Other differently. It is great to see. We have been reporting on the story is really forces have been closing it down for 45 days. We have reaction from qatar which owns the television network. The country says it holds israeli government responsible for the safety of astuteness and will take legal steps to protect its rights. Aljazeera aired dramatic live footage showing heavily armed israeli soldiers entering its bureau in ramallah with a military order, before the israelis disrupted that broadcast. The israeli government had previously shut down aljazeeras offices in eastjerusalem, confiscating the Channels Equipment and banning its broadcasts in the country. It said aljazeera was a threat to israels security. Before we leave you with one to bring you some live pictures. These are the border between israel and lebanon. As a reminder, we are sharing these pictures as fighting between Israel And Hezbollah has intensified overnight, with both sides carrying out large Cross Border strikes. Lebanon, the lebanese based Group Hezbollah launched 40 missiles into israel. More to come. Hello there. If youve been caught in some of the thundery Rain Around this morning, youll know its pretty wet out there. Some places have had as much as 50mm of rain. This was earlier in the day, but i think well get some more showers developing in the brighter slots further south. So if youre travelling across england and wales for the rest of the day, therell be a lot of Excess Spray and standing water on the roads which will cause flooding. The details of the warnings are on the website because we now have an amberwarning. This is for tomorrow, for mondays rain, but i think a large area of england and wales will be affected by that rain. Up to 60 or 80mm could fall, and thats on top of what weve already seen through Yesterday And Today as well. So the rest of the day, as i say, therell be quite a lot of Rain Around, Showery Rain with some heavy thunderstorms, torrential downpours, large hail and gusty winds and temperatures as a result of a bit more cloud in the sky a little lower. Further north, some good sunshine across western scotland, Parts Of Northern Ireland and the northwest of england, but near the East Coast again, weve got that Misty Low Cloud which rolls back in overnight. Now overnight tonight, as that low pressure thats driving all this heavy, thundery rain just moves a little closer, you can see that rain starting to become a more organised band of really intense rain. So again, a Warm And Muggy night. A little bit fresher in the glens of scotland, further north and west. But obviously therell be a lot of Mist And Murk around again tomorrow morning, even in the south. But tomorrow for england and wales, real concerns that we could see, as i mentioned earlier, a Months Worth of rain, if not more, in a few spots on top of whats fallen last Night And Today could result in some flooding issues and certainly some disruptive weather around with that Thunder And Lightning and temperatures just taking a dip once again even further north to because weve got a Weather Front approaching from the north. So for monday, it looks like well see the wettest weather across england and wales. For tuesday, a little bit drier across england, wales, but some Heavy Rain Coming in across this Weather Front into scotland. And then from midweek onwards weve got another area of low pressure rushing in off the atlantic, this time, notjust rain. There could be a sting in its tail, it could be some strong winds. So do stay tuned if your plans. And as that clears away, it opens the gates to this northerly arctic wind. So its getting much colder by The End of the week. But theres a lot of weather to happen between now and then. The warnings, as i say, there on the website. This is bbc news.
