We start in the middle east, where israel says hezbollah has fired over 150 missiles into the country, following extensive israeli Air Strikes in lebanon on saturday. The rockets targeted the city of haifa, nearly 30km from the border with lebanon, and the Ramat David Airbase further south. In the city, and in areas near the northern border, in anticipation of a fresh aerial assault. These pictures show part of an intercepted rocket that was launched from lebanon and fell near nazareth in the early hours of sunday. Israel has been carrying out more Air Raids in southern lebanon. The military say there was some incoming missiles or drones from iraq, and iran as well. But most of them are from hezbollah. What the military spokesperson was saying publicly earlier in the briefing, some of these have gone further and deeper than previously seen. We have actually seen some of these missiles gone further south than previously seen from hezbollah during this near year long conflict between Israel And Hezbollah. That will be a concern for israelis and the military, it will show hezbollah is still capable of firing deep into israel. Certainly it is known hezbollah have significant missile capacity, it can fire long range rockets. Last night the israeli Air Force carried out extensive Air Strikes in southern lebanon. They said they did that in anticipation of significant attacks by hezbollah. Today the israeli military saying despite the fact there was extensive incoming fire from hezbollah, it would have been worse had they not carried out those strikes last night. In terms of the damage here, some homes have been struck, some injuries. The israeli authorities have closed Schools Today and certainly Tomorrow Night in northern israel. Hospitals have been told to operate only in secure areas. 0ne Hospital in haifa has been moving patients to an underground car park. The beaches have been closed, and also gatherings have been restricted. You cant gather. People cant gather in greater numbers than ten outside or 100 inside. People have been told they must be near somewhere that is protected at all times, somewhere like a Bomb Shelter or somewhere that is safe. The Anti Migrant, far right alternative for germany, also known as afd, could win the most votes in the former east german state. Earlier in the month, the afd won a major german election for the first time, coming first in the eastern state of thuringia. Latest polling in brandenburg had the afd in the lead with 28 . 0ur Europe Correspondent Mark Lowen told me how significant these results could be. This is a state that brandenburg that has been ruled by the Social Democratic Party of 0laf Schulz since German Reunification in 1990. So if that party loses brandenburg, it would be a major setback for the party and a major setback also for 0laf Schulz, who lives in the state and is hoping to lead the spd into germanys federal elections next year, but is, according to polls, the least popular chancellor since German Reunification. So if the spd were to lose, to come second to the afd, there would be even deeper questions over his ability to lead the party into those elections next year. But practically speaking, what chance does the Afd Party have in forming a coalition and being able to access regional or federal government . Well, no party has said that it is willing to work with the afd. So even if it wins in brandenburg today, its unlikely to get into office. And even if the spd were to come second, it probably would manage to cobble together a continuing coalition. But the Spd Leader in brandenburg has said that he would resign if the party comes second to the afd. So even though they may not actually get into office in the regional election, even if they were not to be able to get into office and form a government in next years federal election, what this is showing us today is clearly that what were seeing right across europe, which is the rising support for the far right, the strength of the far right, which has managed to shake up the political establishment really across europe. And its capitalising on all these concerns about immigration. I mean, you know, youll remember back in 2016, at the height of the migration crisis, germany let in 1. 5 million migrants, and they were welcomed and they were cheered by angela merkel. This is a very different germany today. It is a country where migrants increasingly feel ostracised, threatened, where there is a growing weariness, where there have been attacks by some migrants that have been seized upon by the afd to push their political message. And that is really the main reason that explains that partys rise to the position that theyre at today. Head Teacher Dale admits previous rules of phones turned off and Out Of Sight was not working, and three weeks into the new policy, things feel different. Last year, wed see children walking into school with their phones out, glued to the screen. Children just covertly just checking their phones, and in lessons, children distracted. That is gone. You Cant Pay Attention because youre exhausted cause you have been up till two in the morning on Social Media. That is absolutely going to have a really significant impact. In personal health development class, these year 11s are learning about the effects smart phones and Social Media can have on their mental health. Teachers here believe it goes hand in hand with becoming a phone free school. This is the generation of kids who have just grown up with devices and Social Media and it is normal to them. Unless we put this information in front of them, they are not really thinking about why they are behaving that way. Phones, smart watches, even headphones are banned. So, what do the pupils think . You are both sixth formers, this is quite a strict policy for you, isnt it . What do you make of it all . In some ways, it is good, Me And My Friends will sit and play games and stuff in our break and actually interact with Each Other, which is not something we did before. Im speaking to a lot more people that i would not really speak to. It might take some time to get used to with the other students. In what way . Like, not going to the toilets and going on the phones. I i think it is a good policy because ive noticed that im liking things i used to like. I dont really like it, to be honest, just because if my daughter needs to get in touch with me, shes going to get in trouble for taking her phone out. Which they have been in school two weeks, the phone got confiscated. It is good because i do not think children need distractions while theyre in school. I do think it is important that they can carry the phones around with them because obviously as theyre travelling to and from school. I think the dangers of Social Media and the ability of smartphones and the world it opens kids up to is kind of more dangerous than walking to and from schools. The school says reasonable adjustments have been made for pupils living far away to ensure their safety. And tracking devices are available for those who want to know where their children are. Some say that guidance does not go far enough and schools like this are taking their own lead. Mr barrowclough believes more schools will become phone free once they see the benefits here.
