Selecting uncommitted in the Michigan Democratic primary last week. The polls have just closed in vermont and virginia, and we can take a look now at a cbs exit poll of virginias republican primary voters that shows immigration topping the list of voters most important issues with 37 . Its followed by the economy, Foreign Policy and abortion. And we have the first projection of Super Tuesday. Our partners at cbs news project President Biden will win the Democratic Primary in the commonwealth of virginia. The win is important for biden who will need to keep this state in november. Cbs news also characterises the Virginia Republican pr|mary race as leans trump well have more results from there and vermont as we get them. To talk about all this, we can go live now to gary 0donoghue. He is at a Polling Station in richmond, virginia. Gary, the Poles Havejust closed there. What is turnout been like . Have voters been enthusiastic about their candidates today . Enthusiastic about their candidates today . They have not. Candidates today . They have not they candidates today . They have not. They have candidates today . They have not. They have just candidates today . They have not. They have just shut candidates today . They have not. They have just shut the | not. They have just shut the doors come as you said, here at this church in southern part of richmond, and certainly from the numbers that have come through this Polling Station, in this Little Corner of the commonwealth, it has been a real lack of enthusiasm. Something likejust real lack of enthusiasm. Something like just around 20 of the registered voters in this precinct bother to turn out, and the pulling staff tell me that is probably about half what they would normally expect on a primary day, so significant lack of enthusiasm, and its interesting, because when i spoke to some voters outside earlier on today, particular democrats, they were saying to me, we wish there was a different option, age is a problem, someone else said to me that gaza was a drag on the ticket, in terms ofjoe biden. So there was a real lack of force behind those democratic votes, even if they did tojoe biden s name. In terms votes, even if they did tojoe bidens name. In terms of donald trump, a lot of people may have stayed away today because they think he already has it wrapped up, and of course he is way ahead already of nikki haley in the ducted count, and we delegate count and will go even further. If he gets 50 of the votes here in virginia, he gets all of the delegates, and bearin gets all of the delegates, and bear in mind a lot of states voting on Super Tuesday have that rule now that if one candidate goes over 50 , guilty delicates. They get all the delegates. This could be a big knife or donald trump. It will not get him over the top maths medically, but he could be what gets. Medically, but he could be what nets. ~. Medically, but he could be what nets. ~. , gets. We have seen in the exit polls gets. We have seen in the exit polls voters gets. We have seen in the exit polls voters picking exit polls voters picking immigration and economies top issues of concern for them, notwithstanding what you said there, voters have said about what they dont like, Have You Heard any specific concerns around immigration, economy, at the Polling Station where you spent the day . The the Polling Station where you spent the day . The Polling Station where you sent the da . , spent the day . The problem with the economy spent the day . The problem with the economy is spent the day . The problem with the economy is that spent the day . The problem with the economy is that the spent the day . The problem with the economy is that the figures l the economy is that the figures are all pointing to something thatis are all pointing to something that is pretty good at the moment, but thats not being felled by the voters, and certainly any kind of improvement in the economy i ,joe biden does not get , joe biden does not get on the republican side, but theyre not feeling it, so it not surprising that is up there, and we know about immigration, we know that the border is going to be front and centre in this General Election, the autumn, and in some ways, joe biden has invited that issue on. We saw that split screen, didnt we, down at the border the other day, with donald trump there as well . Joe biden trying to make the point about the republicans not choosing to adopt that legislation when they had the opportunity, a number of wins they could have had but rejecting it out of hand, so there is going to be battle on the question of the border and immigration. And some of these perhaps social issues, if you like, may take a little bit of a step down the importance on the ballot stop void gary, we will 0k, 0k, gary, We Willspeakto 0k, gary, we will speak to you later on in the night, but gary 0donoghue, you later on in the night, but gary odonoghue, thank you for that. Lets go to california now. Lets bring in sumi somakanda live in los angeles. You have been talking to voters in a couple of states. What Have You Heard . In a couple of states. What Have You Heard . They really reflect we Have You Heard . They really reflect we just Have You Heard . They really reflect we just heard Have You Heard . They really reflect we just heard from. Have you heard . They really i reflect we just heard from gary there and what you have seen in a lot of the polling youve been referencing as well. There are two issues voters are most concerned about the economy and immigration when it comes to the economy, there talking to the economy, there talking to us about the cost of living, things like the prices of grocery and gas but also very much the cost of housing stub we were infinite a few days ago, we are here in los angeles, we were in san diego as well, and a common refrain we are hearing from people is that housing is simply too expensive, whether people rent their homes or whether they are trying to buy a home. When it comes to immigration, the concern is about what is happening at the border. Across texas but across arizona and also right here in california, we are seeing numbers to come up, we have seen Immigration Patterns shift away from texas and towards california, and there are concerns among the border trinities that are struggling to absorb some of the people who are coming into the people who are coming into the country, but also in some of the bigger cities that are struggling with resources to make sure that migrants who are arriving are taken care of and that they move onto their next destination, so those are certainly the two biggest issues, i will add, certainly the two biggest issues, iwill add, we certainly the two biggest issues, i will add, we spoke to some young voters who stopped by, who were walking by us, and quite a few of them said they are not voting, theres a plea not motivated to vote, they feel like either of the candidates nor the parties are paying attention to any of the issues that matter to them. {iii issues that matter to them. Of those who are going to vote and who have been raising the issue of immigration, what are they looking forfrom the looking for from the candidates . What kind of solutions do they want to see . It really depends so you talk to. There are some specifically in san diego, which is more liberal city, want to see more resources dedicated to help migrants, helping them be integrated into their city or to whatever city they are headed to, there are others however that we spoke to, a County Supervisor who is a republican, who said the border needs to be controlled. I think what is interesting to note is that the states we have been in have heavily hispanic communities, these are committees and families were really impacted by immigration. Theyre telling us they know people who are undocumented, they have people in their families who have statuses where they are struggling to access resources or want to become citizens, so what they are clearly saying to us is something needs be done, either a heavier hand on the republican and or when it comes to more left leaning voters and democrats, they want to see the president simply, the federal government, rather, provide more resources to help migrants. More resources to help migrants more resources to help miarants. ,. ,. , migrants. 0k, sumi, thanks for that. We will migrants. 0k, sumi, thanks for that. We will speak migrants. 0k, sumi, thanks for that. We will speak to migrants. 0k, sumi, thanks for that. We will speak to you that. We will speak to you later. Of course, the polls still open in california. The war in ukraine is another Hot Button Issue here in washington. Ukraines president Volodymyr Zelensky stepped up his calls for the us congress to provide more aid. Mr zelensky gone as far to say that lack of Western Support is directly responsbile for ukraines losses on the battlefield. The us House Of Representatives has been deadlocked for months on a 95 billion National Security package that includes aid for ukraine. That legislation cleared the us senate relatively easily, but in the house, republican speaker mikejohnson has resisted putting the bill to a vote until theres an agreement on more funding for protections at the southern border. Joining me live is ukrainian american congresswoman victoria spartz, a republican from the 5th district of indiana. Thanks so much forjoining us. Weve been hearing that the economy and immigration are two of the biggest issues for voters on this Super Tuesday, but given how extended the us is on many Foreign Policy fronts at the moment, do you think voters should be paying greater consideration that area . N. , greater consideration that area . A. , , area . Actually, illinois is close, but area . Actually, illinois is close, but we area . Actually, illinois is close, but we are area . Actually, illinois is close, but we are much i area . Actually, illinois is close, but we are much better than illinois, indiana is a much better conservative state but go to the issues you mentioned, i think there are a lot of domestic issues that have been neglected for a long time, and unfortunately under this president , they got even worse. Now we have a serious situation with the border, we have a serious inflation, Terrible Energy policies and our dependencies on countries like china have not been addressed in a sly think people are upset and you can see that. Turnout is good to be high and these are issues we have to deal with. We also need to do better on the Foreign Policy, and i think a lot of my colleagues, including speaker johnson, were very clear, we are willing to provide lethal aid to ukraine, which is actually should be a loan, because two years ago at least, a better way for American People to support this longer term work, which became unfortunately, but. We have to think about that but also need to secure our borders. So i think we are going to be working on providing our own package and we have to figure out how we can survive through this presidency. fin out how we can survive through this presidency. This presidency. On that package. This presidency. On that package, including this presidency. On that package, including aid l this presidency. On that| package, including aid to ukraine, speicherjohnson has not indicated yet if he will or when he will bring that to the house for a vote. Do you have any information on that . We need to go any information on that . Need to go through our preparation processes this week but i think after were done with this appropriations, is going to be an important discussion for us to have a stop we have been busy, unfortunately, with a lot of our internal negotiations, which a lot of people, including me, are not very thrilled about, but im blood to see that our speakers Holding Strong on the border security, so thats one of the issues that will be discussing, but i think it is going to happen soon. But i think it is going to hauen soon. , happen soon. President zelensky would say theres happen soon. President zelensky would say theres not happen soon. President zelensky would say theres not much would say theres not much time, theyre running out of ammunition that is threatening the front lines. Do you think you could put a timeline on when there could be agreement . The issue of ammunition i raised almost two years ago. We were discussing we need to engage more production of ammunition and really get ukraine should have got into war mode. Ukraine did not do it, europe did not do it and we did not do it, so we had to approve cluster admonition, not forfun, there was no ammunition, able to provide it much quantity. It is how we will restructure our industry and how we can have a more longer term strategy, but i truly believe our strategy should be more decisive and not as long as it takes but as fast as long as it takes but as fast as we can and we need to figure out how ukraine can win this war sooner than later. Pare out how ukraine can win this war sooner than later. Are you concerned war sooner than later. Are you concerned about war sooner than later. Are you concerned about the war sooner than later. Are you concerned about the message | concerned about the message that it sends to us allies, ukraine and others, that promises are made to support an ally but then not delivered upon as is the case in ukraine at the moment . Upon as is the case in ukraine at the moment . Listen, i think biden does at the moment . Listen, i think biden does a at the moment . Listen, i think biden does a lot at the moment . Listen, i think biden does a lot of at the moment . Listen, i think biden does a lot of promises, l biden does a lot of promises, but unfortunate he failed the American People. He failed on ukrainian people, where the war is, and the American People, with the internal domestic issues, why people are so frustrated, and we are going to have elections and people are going to decide, but i think a lot of people, including on the republican side, understand the importance of what the conflict is but also understand that we need to have our strategy of actions aligned and we need to put pressure on europe too. Europe does a lot of great talk, but a lot of countries, and i exclude uk, uk has been much better, much more decisive on these issues then at the other country in europe, baltics were very good at that, poland, but the rest of europe, theres much to be desired. Congresswoman, National Polls are putting joe biden and donald trump more or less in net, looking ahead to the november polling date is that reflect above the race so far . I think of the most important is really what is going to happen in the battleground states, and we can see in most underground states, president up underground states, president up his leadings and if it can lead, he is leading with minority voters, with hispanic voters, with young voters, so i think it is a very serious problem, because i think people are now waking up of all this mismanagement happening under this administration, so i think he has a strong case to win and govern because our country truly needs governing and he is the truly right person for this time. ~. Time. We will leave it there for the moment. Time. We will leave it there for the moment. Congresswoman victoria spartz, thank you for joining us on bbc news. 0ur reporter Helena Humphrey is pouring through the latest Super Tuesday results at the touch screen. Lets go over to her now. Polls have just lets go over to her now. Polls have just close lets go over to her now. Polls have just close in lets go over to her now. Polls have just close in a lets go over to her now. Polls have just close in a couple lets go over to her now. Polls have just close in a couple of. Have just close in a couple of states. Before we start to comb through some of those results, ijust through some of those results, i just want to bring through some of those results, ijust want to bring our through some of those results, i just want to bring our years updated with some the key number is we are watching here in the results hub throughout the course of the night, numbers for them to also at home keep their eye on. In order to clinch the nomination of the all important number is 1215. Donald trump and his campaign will not be getting there by the end of an evening but they could be doing it in the next couple of weeks. Instead, the Trump Campaign has said they expected pick up some 700 delegates, plus, if they are having a good night, so what we could be seeing is if donald trump manages to earn some 1000 plus delegates tonight, he is having a good night. For nikki haley to have a good night, we are talking about a far lower number, something around the 200 delegate plus mark in there, of course, is a great illustration of that looming chasm between these two candidates and how it is very improbable that nikki haley instead will be able to catch up, particular as we know it is a winner take all system in a number of states, and that means a candidate needs to get 50 plus one percentage point in order to take all of those delegates, and for nikki haley, the best performance that weve even seen so far, 43 , in new hampshire. Lets take a look at some of the results as they come in. The first to close as we know, virginia and vermont. Virginia always a really interesting want to look at, because youve got that proximity to washington, dc. See if there could be some weakness when it comes to suburban areas. If we take a look here, falls church, if we just go over here to arlington, nikki haley in front 65 to Donald Trumps 32 on a not really a big surprise, i think it is fair to say, coming off the back of that sole primary victory for nikki haley in washington, dc, but if Wejust Take A Look over in loudon, there we can see it is a little more close a9 a7 for nikki haley, really early days, were only talking about less than 2 of all precincts counted right now, i caution to keep that in mind. Virginia is neverjust the story of what happens or washington, dc. It is also as you move south you tend to see more conservative votes playing out in the direction of kentucky, tennessee, if wejust checking with areas like washington, you do see a vastly different result 86 for donald trump, nikki haley with 15 . Only one of 20 counted. If we move onto vermont, we have not got results in yet, they are going to come in shortly, but i want to point out what would be worth watching for. This is probably her best chance of success tonight, because youve got an open primary here, see you about liberal voters, independents, moderates, who can show up and cast their vote, and if you look in liberal areas like chittenden, youll find burlington, one of the most liberal cities in the state, a similar case with putneyin state, a similar case with putney in windham, as they will be key number to watch. If nikki haley does not start to trend upwards of 50 , it is going to be very tough for her to earn more delegates, so so far, just the results coming in from two states, another 13 to go. Thanks for that, helena. Thanks forthat, helena. Lets get the thanks for that, helena. Lets get the views thanks forthat, helena. Lets get the views of thanks for that, helena. It is very rare to have a Super Tuesday which some people now are calling sweeping tuesday, because we kind of know the contours of this race and have done for a few weeks now. We would be eating distant general as we pretended tonight this was full of surprises also dont trip is going to be the republican nominee, barring a lightning strike, wouldnt you agree . And joe biden is going to be the nominee. But there is not much excitement, there is a lot of excitement for donald trump amongst the core of his supporters, not so much when we start digging into some of these exit polls amongst other people, which is why i thing we are seeing such low turnout. Taste are seeing such low turnout. We will din are seeing such low turnout. We will dig into all of that over the course of tonight, but weve got to leave it there for a quick moment and take a break. Do stay with us here on bbc news. Hello there. We could see more sunshine around for wednesday than what we had on tuesday, particularly across eastern areas. So i think a brighter afternoon to come, but there will be some scattered showers around, especially across england and wales, and winds will generally stay quite light. Well have High Pressure anchored over scandinavia, low pressure out in the atlantic, trying to push this Weather Front ever closer towards our shores, but it could reach the west country as we move through the latter parts of this morning. Elsewhere, were starting off a lot of cloud across the east of the country. That will tend to melt away, though. It stays cloudy for eastern scotland, north east england. Some sunshine for east anglia and the southeast, a few showers into the afternoon, east wales and the midlands, and temperature wise up to around 10 11 degrees, Single Digits along the north sea coasts, where we have the cloud and the breeze. Now, as we head through wednesday night, it looks like it stays dry for many. The showers fade away. We start to see some cloud rolling into central and eastern areas, so where we have the cloud, more of a breeze, temperatures 2 5. Under clearer skies further north and west, there could be a touch of frost. For thursday, then, we have low pressure anchored out towards the west and the south west, that area of High Pressure over scandinavia just edging a bit further westward, so influencing our weather more. Could start to see an east, South Easterly Wind picking up further, though, so quite a breezy day to come. Plenty of sunshine around away from the east coast and there will be some Afternoon Showers again, particularly england and wales. Probably the best of the sunshine, Western Scotland into northern ireland, Western Wales top temperatures again, 11, maybe 12 degrees. Into friday, you see more isobars on the charts. Its going to be windier, a strong east, South Easterly Wind. Thatll take the edge off the temperatures, push in some cloud to northern and eastern areas, particularly the northern half of the country. England and wales could at this stage see quite a bit of sunshine, but therell always be showers loitering close to the south west. And a windy day to come for all gusty winds, particularly windy across the south and the east thanks to that South Easterly Wind. So, chillier along eastern coastal areas, up to around ii or 12 further west. Into the weekend, low pressure loiters to the south west of the country, trying to push its way northwards, so it will introduce further showers or even longer spells of rain for southern and western areas. We could start to see a few showers developing further north and east as well. It will remain quite windy, with our wind coming in from the east or the south east. Thats it for me. Take care. Live from washington, this is bbc news special coverage of Super Tuesday. The first returns from Super Tuesday voting are in. President biden and donald trump are projected to win virginia, as 13 states continue to cast their ballots. Hello, im caitriona perry, live in washington. Welcome back to our live coverage of the biggest day of the us primary elections Super Tuesday. Voting is currently under way in 12 states in what is a crucial moment for the overwhelming frontrunner for the republican president ial nomination donald trump, who our us partners at cbs projects has won his first state of the night, virginia. 865 republican delegates are at stake in tonights contests. To clinch the nomination, a candidate needs to secure 1,215 delegates. And we also have a cbs projection in the Democratic Primary there as well. Donald trump is projected to win the North Carolina primary, as well, according to cbs. President biden will win in the state of North Carolina thats from our partners, cbs. Joining me live is gary odonoghue. He is at a Polling Station in richmond, virginia. And we can speak to gary now, hes been at the Polling Station all day talking to voters coming and going. And gary, the results arent in jeopardy tonight, going as predicted so far. Jeopardy tonight, going as predicted so far. Yes, in fact the registrar predicted so far. Yes, in fact the registrar here predicted so far. Yes, in fact the registrar here has i predicted so far. Yes, in fact the registrar here hasjust i the registrar here has just phonedin the registrar here has just phoned in the details of the results. So youll see Concrete Results. So youll see Concrete Results coming up on the website for the virginia elections website in the coming minutes. Whats happened in our little precinct here is nikki haley be donald trump by 300 votes to 101, so a Pretty Healthy trade. Its a pretty democratic area, the indication is that theres been a lot of crossover voting here, bear in mind virginia, theres no Party Registration so you can show up as long as you are a registered voter, show up and take part in either primary. Certainly democrats weve spoken to outside here today said they thought about doing it and knew people who had done that, and most of them were doing it in order to vote for nikki haley. So this Little Corner is a bit different to the general picture in the commonwealth where donald trump looks to have a pretty big victory. And if he gets over that 15 mark, hell get all 48 delegates from the state, as some of the rules across the country are reflected in that particular arrangement. But an interesting day, and i think in some ways, the turnout here has been pretty depressed round about 20 of registered voters in this little precinct came out today and officials tell me here thats pretty bad even for a primary. Here thats pretty bad even for a primary a primary. And gary, thatll be a primary. And gary, thatll be a challenge a primary. And gary, thatll be a challenge across a primary. And gary, thatll be a challenge across the a primary. And gary, thatll be a challenge across the year,. A challenge across the year, particularly with the results being defined and determined as early as they have been, making for a very long General Election campaign. Itll be a challenge to voters interested. I think thats up to the right, we already know that seven out of ten voters dont want this match up all over again. And in some ways, that turn out issue will continue because its the same two options on the ballot. So there you will get into a battle over turnout and it being a Turnout Election, as well as the computations you have to do in the swing states, the blue wall states, pennsylvania, michigan, and then arizona and georgia. This will be a Turnout Election mixed together with that question of those independent swing voters and those really tight states. Not forgetting of course North Carolina joe biden won virginia by ten points last time around, so i dont think, despite what donald trump might say, that virginia is necessarily in play for him. But North Carolina is very tight, its a. 13 percentage point therebetween joe biden snapping at the heels of donald trump at that one. It could be a Turnout Issue for the former president. Thanks for that, gary, the former president. Thanks for that, gary, well the former president. Thanks for that, gary, well talk i the former president. Thanks for that, gary, well talk to i for that, gary, well talk to you later in the night. One issue that is sure to be a big factor come november particularly forjoe biden and the Democratic Party is israel and the situation in gaza. There has been growing pressure, particularly from the left of his party, onjoe biden to do more to pressure israel to agree a ceasefire in gaza and to provide more aid. President biden has been raising those concerns today, he warned israel there are no excuses for not allowing more aid into gaza. The World Food Programme says the Israeli Defence force has thwarted its first attempt in two weeks to bring Food Supplies to northern gaza, turning back a convoy of 14 lorries. President s bidens team has also been trying new diplomatic routes to try and improve the situation in gaza. Benny gantz a key israel opposition figure has been in washington this week, meeting with Vice President Kamala Harris and secretary of state antony blinken. 0f of course he is a member of the war cabinet in israel. Qatars Prime Minister was also in washington to discuss ongoing efforts in securing the release of hostages held by hamas and establish a humanitarian pause in the conflict. But Ceasefire Talks remain at a standstill. Israel did not send a delegation to cairo for this round of Ceasefire Talks. And every day negotiators fail to reach an agreement is another day people in gaza are dying and another day hostages remain captive. It is now 150 days since they were taken by hamas. 0ur panel is still with us here. On the issue of israel in gaza, and joe bidens handling of the middle east, we already saw It Writ Large in michigan last week with those uncommitted voters, but how big of an issue will it be for him . We saw in michigan, a critical state in the november election because its one of the few swing states there are 5 6 states that will decide this election, and michigan is one of them. It was won by about 100,000 votes, if you have 100,000 votes, if you have 100,000 democrats actually staying home, they can make a difference. It is not expected all those who voted uncommitted, and theres a history of these votes in michigan, will necessarily stay home. But you have a lot of, and im hearing it from democratic congressman who represent the stomach of those districts, Arab Americans and those districts who have lost notjust 1 3 those districts who have lost notjust1 3 but up to 40 Family Members who wont forget. The white house is hoping that young voters will show up. Theres a previous pattern of young voters being apathetic then voting democratic in the campaign. I think those arab american voters, i think grief goes in concentric cycles, they wont forget by november, they wont forget by november, they wont forget the biden administrations policies or inability to stop the israelis attacking dolls and civilians in the way they have, and that will be problematic for them. We talked Withjill Biden the other day, at an event and she got heckled. This is happening to democrats. But got heckled. This is happening to democrats. To democrats. But you cant foruet to democrats. But you cant forget theres to democrats. But you cant forget theres another i forget theres another population of americans who never population of americans who never forget, population of americans who neverforget, right . And population of americans who never forget, right . And thats jewish never forget, right . And thats Jewish Americans. I live in florida. Jewish americans. I live in florida. I Jewish Americans. I live in florida, i represented a district florida, i represented a district that was heavily populated byJewish Americans, and for populated byJewish Americans, and for years they had been saving and for years they had been saving to and for years they had been saying to me, we arent really comfortable with where your far left is comfortable with where your far left is going on in israel. I cant left is going on in israel. I cant tell left is going on in israel. I cant tell you the number of people cant tell you the number of people who would say to me, we people who would say to me, ive been people who would say to me, ive been a long line thats a lifelong ive been a long line thats a lifelong democrat but im also a jewish lifelong democrat but im also a jewish american. If your party a jewish american. If your Party Continues to follow this path. Party continues to follow this path. I Party Continues to follow this path, i cant come with you. So path, icant come with you. So as path, icant come with you. So as much path, i cant come with you. So as much attention that is going so as much attention that is going to so as much attention that is going to the very vocal Arab Americans, the Jewish Americans are watching what President Biden does. It is a real President Biden does. It is a real tight President Biden does. It is a real tight rope that he has to walk real tight rope that he has to walk on real tight rope that he has to walk on alienating either one of these walk on alienating either one of these bases. And its really a tough of these bases. And its really a tough situation. And to be clear. A tough situation. And to be clear. The a tough situation. And to be clear, the people who are protesting him what would they protesting him what would they rather . With a rather a president who had a muslim man and wouldnt have a policy on israel and wouldnt have a policy on israel that was much different than israel that was much different than the israel that was much different than the biden policy . I funding to ukraine congresswoman. I had an interesting congresswoman. I had an interesting conversation i congresswoman. I had an i interesting conversation on saturday with mike turner, he sounded pretty confident they will manage to get this aid package passed. I dont know what youve heard, but the democrats have now said they would support the speaker of the house where It Republicans who are opposed to the ukraine aid to try to oust him, that paves the way for them to get this aid through. I spoke to the Ukrainian Ambassador recently who said we cannot get this fast enough. We see what its doing not having this american aid. Weve seen the decline in support particularly on the republican side for supporting ukraine, theres been some decline on the democratic side too, but it is actually interesting that in the House Of Representatives, its one of the few areas where you have a majority of the House Of Representatives who support this, now we need to find a way to get the speaker in hisjob to bring this find a way to get the speaker in his job to bring this to the floor, then the president will get a win on this. We can just take a look at an update directly now because we still have that data coming in. Right now we are seeing donald trump taking some 59 to nikki haleys 36 Percentage Points. But lets take a look at the key areas on the map. For example, this is where youll find the city of charlotte, urban areas more College Educated voters for example, and here nikki haley i had with 56 , donald trump there with a1 really for any hope of picking anything, haley needed to be doing well in this area. This was her best hope of the night, but nevertheless it appears donald trump is still way out in front. Another area that was important for haylees campaign, like durham, well find the state capital, you can see 16 Percentage Points for nikki haley right now, but the overall picture right now across the state is trending far more red. If you look at areas a bit more solidly conservative, we might expect to find that in new hanover where we will see if wilmington, five Percentage Points in it, donald trump on 50 , nikki haley on 45 . But you are just 50 , nikki haley on 45 . But you arejust mentioning 50 , nikki haley on 45 . But you are just mentioning the importance of North Carolina emerging as we go in and eight months time to this General Election, and just keep in mind in 2020 what we saw here was donald trump winning by one percentage point. And what we can see by this early stage with 3 of precincts counted it as it appears that he is trending towards growing support in this key battleground states. Very early results coming out of your state of North Carolina there i dont know if youve heard any of that yourself or you know how things have gone there, if theres anything youre noticing in your home state of note they are . Unfortunately there republican lead General Assembly changed the rules so that none of the mail in ballots could be counted until the polls closed at 7 30pm. So itll probably be at 7 30pm. So itll probably be a late night to see what the results are in North Carolina. This is also the first year that photo id has been required for voters, so we may see some voter repression there.
