Interviews and reaction. We start in the caucases, where there have been scenes of panic and confusion as a growing number of Ethnic Armenian refugees try to leave Nagorno Karabakh. It follows azerbaijans seizure of this disputed region. Roads leading from the main city, stepanakert, towards the Armenian Border are jammed with traffic. Those reaching the border are the first to cross into armenia since the enclave was this week captured by Azerbaijani Forces. The territory is at the heart of one of the worlds longest running conflicts. Nagorno karabakh lies in the mountainous South Caucasus region of Eastern Europe and asia between the black sea and the caspian sea. Its recognised internationally as part of azerbaijan, but has been controlled by Ethnic Armenians for three decades. Our reporter Nataliya Zotova is on the Armenian Border and reports now on the situation there. We are now in the village of khoznavar, right on the border between armenia and Nagorno Karabakh. We can see the refugees coming and coming through the border to armenia. Here in this tent, they have being registered. People are fleeing with their belongings because they are afraid. Theyjust dont believe they can be safe in Nagorno Karabakh under azerbaijani rule. Some people told me that they dont expect to get home ever. There are now thought to be around 3,000 armenian refugees coming from Nagorno Karabakh to armenia, and there are expected to be much more. The president told us that, of course, armenia will accept all those refugees. But what provisions could armenia give them is still unclear. We know that in azerbaijan, the azeri refugees who in turn left karabakh 30 years ago, were living for decades in temporary and often dismal conditions. Azerbaijan is promising not to target civilians and to respect the rights of Ethnic Armenians living in the region. The problem is lack of trust. Armenians simply dont believe they can be safe under azerbaijani rule. Thats why they are fleeing with all their possessions. Live now to our correspondent kasra naji in the armenian capital yerevan. Now, in terms of whats next, members not only have to vote on the deal, but they have to agree to a three year contract.
