more about the victim impact statements. they are very different in tone and content to the evidence the families gave in this trial. this was their opportunity to say everything that was in their head and heart. the families have come several times throughout the trial but the evidence during the trial was more about their recollections of specific events several years ago and not an opportunity at that stage to describe the emotional impact. there was some emotion when the families relived those memories but this was a moment today, even though letby was not there, it was a chance to address her and say how they feel. a lot of the families said they would not forgive her. some decided to say she had lost her power. they would no longer think about her. and some families took the opportunity to remember their children and what their children should have been doing if they were still alive now. an incredibly tough morning. we also mentioned eight of the 11 jurors, there were 12 originally, one was discharged for good personal reasons during the deliberation process. eight did choose to come back and being caught for sentencing. they did. this has taken up so much of their lives and has been an incredibly harrowing and difficult trial to follow. at the beginning they were given a glossary of medical terms, 25 pages. it is a trial that demanded a lot of them, not just trial that demanded a lot of them, notjust in terms of detail, but also getting to grips some of the theories at play in the trial. it is a culmination of so much work on behalf of the police, crown prosecution service service and trial process. 110 hours, thejury have been in the room discussing this case at manchester crown court. we are bringing continuing reaction this morning because there are so many ongoing questions. in particular this investigation operation by cheshire police hummingbird, it has widened and will look at more of lucy letby�*s nursing career. look at more of lucy letby's nursing career. , , , ., career. given the severity of the offences. _ career. given the severity of the offences. the — career. given the severity of the offences, the police _ career. given the severity of the offences, the police decided -
