clearly these concerns are worrying local people. the government has repeatedly said that the barge is going to be better value for british taxpayers because of the huge costs of housing asylum seekers and hotels, i think it is about £6 million a day at the moment. do we know how much it cost a housing asylum seeker on the barge? we a housing asylum seeker on the barae? ~ ., ., , . .,, cagey and giving us an exact number over what it will cost because i suspect it has been done before so they don't entirely know. there are concerns that the costs of maintaining a barge should be more than a building on land. but the bill for housing migrants here is going to be less than the £6 million a day echoes to put them in hotels. some people coming today have been housed a0 miles up the road in bournemouth in a hotel. it gives you a sense of how many people are around. this is affecting hotels across the uk. it is the money, but also the political side of it. it is not a good look when the bill is £6 million a day. i think they feel anything they can do that is cheaper would be a better solution. so, the first migrants have arrived on the barge, and further arrivals are expected later today. we will keep you updated. malley says it will send a delegation to the leaders of major air to show their support for the coup. the military junta has said it is closed neish match that keeps people here in the new slim script for sure was england against nigeria. 0ur sports reporterjane dougall joins us from brisbane. penalties are always nail—biting on this match was no different. yes. this match was no different. yes, and england _ this match was no different. yes, and england are _ this match was no different. yes, and england are through, - this match was no different. t2: and england are through, but by the skin of their teeth. it really was a tight match. penalty shoot—out are always nerve—racking, but this one is particularly so because england stepped up first and georgia stanway missed the first penalty. it went all the way to the left. following that, nigeria missed theirfirst couple of penalties as well, so both fans were upset at that stage. and both fans were looking at their strikers and wondering if anybody was going to put it in the net at that stage, but then england did pull it together and they wind up beating nigeria a—2 on penalties. at this had come after extra time, which was goalless. for the majority of that time nigeria were the stronger team. they had multiple chances throughout the match. the england goalkeeper was kept incredibly busy making saves throughout. there was a talking point in the first—half work at there is the rachel daly had been pushed to the ground in the box. there was a penalty shout, but the referee had it reviewed on var and went to the screen and decided no penalty. the england fans did not like that. and then the dramatic issue of the match. towards the end of normal time, 87 minutes, lauren james was sent off. not many england fans that i have been speaking to after the match had anything to argue about when looking at it. when laurenjames was caught up in a kerfuffle with one of the nigerian players, they fell down together and as laurenjames got up it looked as though she stepped on the player, or stamped on the player, and really thatis stamped on the player, and really that is a straight red card, which is what the referee did and lauren james was off. this is quite an about turn of luck for laurenjames about turn of luck for lauren james because about turn of luck for laurenjames because in about turn of luck for lauren james because in the last couple of matches for england when she has started, she started against denmark in china, she has played incredibly well, scoring exceptional goals and really being seen as the star of the tournament as far as england is concerned, so for this to happen wasn't great for laurenjames at all, but not great for england either because they won't have her now in the quarterfinals. the quarterfinals, ended will face either colombia or morocco. as you mentioned, australia are still playing right now against denmark in their last 16 match. caitlin ford scored in the first half. we are into the second half, it is still i-o, into the second half, it is still 1-0, but into the second half, it is still 1—0, prime minister by cambodia's king. hun sen made the announcement after a landslide election victory injuly. many analysts say stability was established, but democracy was stifled under his rule. 0ur south east asia correspondent jonathan head gave us more details of the new prime minister's background. hun sen's eldest son, hun manet, who is a5—years—old, is now the new prime minister, although he has to go before parliament to have his new government confirmed in the next couple of weeks, but that's a mere formality, as well, because the ruling party, which is very much hun sen's own vehicle, completely dominates parliament after an election in which the main opposition was actually banned from contesting it. so the new prime minister is a much younger face, a different generation. little known, really. he's been very prominent in the cambodian army. he's western—educated, unlike his father, who came up through the crucible of the khmer rouge revolution, a very sort of different background, but not tested in politics. he's only really been active in politics in the last year or so. so nobody knows quite what kind of prime minister he's going to be. i think the hope is for hun sen that this is a gradual transition, that it doesn't create any dramatic changes and that his son gets a chance to bed down. it's a difficult thing to do. hun sen has so dominated the country in these last 38 years. he's come to almost personalise politics. he sits at the centre of a web of complex alliances with other powerful figures, all of whom are ambitious. he's managed, very skillfully, played one off against the other, bought them off, as well. but cambodia's got lots of challenges. it has an economy very dependent on international demand. it has huge inequality, environmental destruction, massive corruption. these are all things that are going to challenge this new and untested man in charge of the country. around the world and across the uk. this is bbc news. let's look at some other stories making news. an inquest has started into the death of a man from 0ldham, which his family believes was linked to mould in their home. 27—year—old luke brooks died from respiratory problems last year. the inquest is expected to last five days. a report by mps has found that baby monitors, smartspeakers and fitness trackers are being used to coerce, harass and control victims of domestic abuse. the culture, media and sport committee says smart devices are used to monitor and collect recordings of survivors. the government has said it will triple fines against employers and landlords who allow illegal migrants to work for them, or rent their properties. firms who are found to have repeatedly employed illegal migrants could face fines of up to £60,000 per breach. the home office says opportunities for illegal working and renting are significant pull factors for illegal migration. the world scout jamboree in south korea will end early due to a typhoon warning, its organisers have confirmed. it comes after the uk association relocated four and a half thousand members to hotels over safety concerns at the campsite. 0ur correspondent in seoul, jean mackenzie, has been speaking to the chief executive of uk scouts, matt hyde. we are both disappointed and feel let down by the organisers, because we repeatedly raised some of these concerns before we went, during when we went, we were promised things were going to be put in place and they weren't. if you can imagine toilets that are being used by thousands and thousands of people that are not being cleaned with the regularity you'd expect, you can imagine the sort of things that people were seeing. it wasn't just that. it was actually the lack of soap as well. so again, it's the compounding impact of all these things together. but like all of these things, when you're put in a position where you have to make difficult decisions, there are choices. we have at this point had to make the difficult choice of investing our money to ensure that young people are safe. that is the right thing to do. and the board took that decision and stand by it 100% unanimously. what sort of sum are we talking about here? well, we're assessing that at the moment. but you can probably imagine you're dealing with, as i say, a,500 people plus, times number of rooms, travel, food. we must be talking hundreds of thousands of pounds? yes, many. the edinburgh festival fringe is in full swing. it's the world's largest arts festival featuring performers from across the globe, clearly these concerns are worrying local people. the government has repeatedly said that the barge is going to be better value for british taxpayers because of the huge costs of housing asylum seekers and hotels, i think it is about £6 million a day at the moment. do we know how much it cost a housing asylum seeker on the barge? we a housing asylum seeker on the barae? ~ ., ., , . .,, cagey and giving us an exact number over what it will cost because i suspect it has been done before so they don't entirely know. there are concerns that the costs of maintaining a barge should be more than a building on land. but the bill for housing migrants here is going to be less than the £6 million a day echoes to put them in hotels. some people coming today have been housed a0 miles up the road in bournemouth in a hotel. it gives you a sense of how many people are around. this is affecting hotels across the uk. it is the money, but also the political side of it. it is not a good look when the bill is £6 million a day. i think they feel anything they can do that is cheaper would be a better solution. so, the first migrants have arrived on the barge, and further arrivals are expected later today. we will keep you updated. malley says it will send a delegation to the leaders of major air to show their support for the coup. the military junta has said it is closed neish australia are leading denmark at the end of the first half in their round of 16. caitlin foord has scored the opener. the winner of this game will face france or morocco in quarterfinals. the exciting match that keeps people here in the new slim script for sure was england against nigeria. 0ur sports reporterjane dougall joins us from brisbane. penalties are always nail—biting on this match was no different. yes. this match was no different. yes, and england _ this match was no different. yes, and england are _ this match was no different. yes, and england are through, - this match was no different. t2: and england are through, but by the skin of their teeth. it really was a tight match. penalty shoot—out are always nerve—racking, but this one is particularly so because england stepped up first and georgia stanway missed the first penalty. it went all the way to the left. following that, nigeria missed theirfirst couple of penalties as well, so both fans were upset at that stage. and both fans were looking at their strikers and wondering if anybody was going to put it in the net at that stage, but then england did pull it together and they wind up beating nigeria a—2 on penalties. at this had come after extra time, which was goalless. for the majority of that time nigeria were the stronger team. they had multiple chances throughout the match. the england goalkeeper was kept incredibly busy making saves throughout. there was a talking point in the first—half work at there is the rachel daly had been pushed to the ground in the box. there was a penalty shout, but the referee had it reviewed on var and went to the screen and decided no penalty. the england fans did not like that. and then the dramatic issue of the match. towards the end of normal time, 87 minutes, lauren james was sent off. not many england fans that i have been speaking to after the match had anything to argue about when looking at it. when laurenjames was caught up in a kerfuffle with one of the nigerian players, they fell down together and as laurenjames got up it looked as though she stepped on the player, or stamped on the player, and really thatis stamped on the player, and really that is a straight red card, which is what the referee did and lauren james was off. this is quite an about turn of luck for laurenjames about turn of luck for lauren james because about turn of luck for laurenjames because in about turn of luck for lauren james because in the last couple of matches for england when she has started, she started against denmark in china, she has played incredibly well, scoring exceptional goals and really being seen as the star of the tournament as far as england is concerned, so for this to happen wasn't great for laurenjames at all, but not great for england either because they won't have her now in the quarterfinals. the quarterfinals, ended will face either colombia or morocco. as you mentioned, australia are still playing right now against denmark in their last 16 match. caitlin ford scored in the first half. we are into the second half, it is still i-o, into the second half, it is still 1-0, but into the second half, it is still 1—0, but sam care, their poster girl still hasn't come in for australia yet. of course she got injured, wasn't even able to play in the group stages of the match because she had a calf injury, but they are hoping that this all—time scorer for australia will be able to feature. we will let you know if she does or not against denmark later on in the match. , ., ., ., ., ., match. jane, wonderful to have prime minister by cambodia's king. hun sen made the announcement after a landslide election victory injuly. many analysts say stability was established, but democracy was stifled under his rule. 0ur correspondent in seoul, jean mackenzie, has been speaking to the chief executive of uk scouts, matt hyde. we are both disappointed and feel let down by the organisers, because we repeatedly raised some of these concerns before we went, during when we went, we were promised things were going to be put in place and they weren't. if you can imagine toilets that are being used by thousands and thousands of people that are not being cleaned with the regularity you'd expect, you can imagine the sort of things that people were seeing. it wasn't just that. it was actually the lack of soap as well. so again, it's the compounding impact of all these things together. but like all of these things, when you're put in a position where you have to make difficult decisions, there are choices. we have at this point had to make the difficult choice of investing our money to ensure that young people are safe. that is the right thing to do. and the board took that decision and stand by it 100% unanimously. what sort of sum are we talking about here? well, we're assessing that at the moment. but you can probably imagine you're dealing with, as i say, a,500 people plus, times number of rooms, travel, food. we must be talking hundreds of thousands of pounds? yes, many. the edinburgh festival fringe is in full swing. it's the world's largest arts festival featuring performers from across the globe,
