But there are still more than 5 Million adults in the uk who havent yet had their first vaccine. The government is urging those people to come forward. Our medical Editor Fergus Walsh reports. Do you want to roll up your sleeve for me . Here we go again not first or second doses of Covid Vaccine, but boosters. Sharp scratch. Health workers at Croydon University hospital were at the front of the queue. Well done, all protected so far ive not caught covid, and i wanted to keep it that way, so having a booster is the extra protection that i need. Front line Health Workers, whove faced a wave after wave of covid, know all too well its not gone away. Working in a e, we are seeing increasing numbers of covid patients coming in over the last few weeks. We were all originally looked Vaccinated in december of last year, so our Immunity Due to the first doses is now waning. And thats the rationale behind boosters initially, two doses give more than 90 protection against being hospitalised with covid, even among the over 65s. By around six months, thats fallen to just under 90 , but its assumed it will continue to decline. It is the oldest in society who will benefit most from a booster, like the residents in this Care Home in cheltenham. Evelyn carey is 83. They think its important that we should have it. Nobody can be protected from everything, but it will be a help. People will be Offered boosters six months after their second Jab Either Pfizer or a Half Dose of moderna vaccine, with invitations initially going out to the over 70s and younger people with chronic conditions. When the nhs contacts you, please come forward and have your vaccine. It might be a text message, it might be a letter, it might be a Phone Call from your local gp practice. We need to boost those who are most at risk from covid, plus also those, like our Front Line staff, who are at risk of not just getting it but also passing it on. There is huge uncertainty about what covid, flu and other Winter Viruses may bring this winter. The hope is Booster Doses will give an extra layer of Protection Notjust to individuals but also the nhs. Israel, germany, france and the us are among other countries Offering boosters in stark contrast to the worlds poorest nations, where just two in 100 people have received a first dose of vaccine. Fergus walsh, Bbc News. And well find out how this story and many others are covered in tomorrows front pages at 10 30 and 11 30 this evening in the papers our guestsjoining me tonight are the Broadcasterjohn Stapleton and Anabel Denham from the institute of economic affairs. All of englands Care Home workers must be fully Vaccinated by 11th November if they want to continue working. Today is the deadline for anyone whos still unVaccinated to come forward and have their firstjab. More than 90 of Care Home workers in england have now had one dose of the vaccine, 82 are now fully Vaccinated. Unions estimate that up to 70,000 Staff Members wont be Vaccinated by the november deadline. They warn of a severe staffing crisis. Heres our social Affairs Correspondent alison holt. Testing staff, residents and visitors is just one of the jobs Hayley Evans has to do as part of her work in a bristol Care Home that helps people back on their feet after a long stay in hospital. Despite witnessing the impact of covid, she only recently had Herfirst Vaccination just in time for todays deadline. Shes had past problems with Blood Clots and was worried about Side Effects. I feel like we sacrifice enough of ourselves and we give as much as we can do ourjobs. And it was just another choice that kind of gets taken away. I personally would rather have waited. I tried to see it as a positive, that at least i was doing it for a job that i like and that i am invested in my future. The not for Profit Organisation that runs these and other homes in the South West has 26 out of its 650 staff who wont have jabs so they will lose theirjobs. The Chief Executive says thats on top of staff leaving because theyre burned out, have been Offered higher pay elsewhere, or gone to the nhs, where jabs arent yet compulsory. I spent the last winter worrying about covid and the impact on our Care Homes. Im now worrying constantly about being able to recruit enough staff to stay safe. We are safe at the moment, you know, we cant run the services without having enough staff in place, and we are but of course you are very close to the edge all the time on that. And those worries are echoed by Care Providers across the country in a sector that has always struggled to recruit and keep people. I decline any medication, notjust the vaccine. Badareldean has been a Care Worker for more than six years hes leaving because of the vaccine and will now increase his work as a Delivery Driver and personal trainer. Recruiting is hard for Care Homes, especially whoever comes, they see the work, they leave in the first week, some People Cant take it. But this petition delivered to downing Street Today underlines why staffjabs are seen as important in keeping residents safe and Care Homes open. These families want more legal rights around visiting. And my husband, suffering from dementia, cant understand why i couldnt see him. It hasjust been the most awful 16 months, and i dont want other people going forward to suffer what ive been through. Scotland, wales and Northern Ireland have not made jabs mandatory for Care Home staff, but take up of the vaccine has generally been very high. Alison holt, Bbc News. Allison girbow is a carer who is set to be dismissed later next month after she decided not to take the vaccine. And not to take the vaccine. Match prepared, as much. Love and match prepared, as much as i love myjob and am heartbroken to leave that, i am not prepared to stay there commit to have the vaccine to keep myjob. So the stress that we have at work, the pay that we get, i am prepared to walk away and get a cleaning job. Less hassle and probably a bit more money. My last meeting was a letter saying that i was getting dismissed on the 10th of november. So im just waiting for the 10th of november. And im sticking till The End, im not walking away right now. I told them that, you know, i dont want them that, you know, i dont want the vaccine, but i may do in the future. A diplomatic row has broken out over a new Defence And Security partnership between the uk, the us, and australia. The deal will deliver nuclear powered submarines to the australian navy as a way to counter increasing pressure from china. Beijing has condemned the pact as extremely irresponsible. Heres our defence correspondent, jonathan beale. Britain is making its mark in the pacific. The royal navys new aircraft carriers been flying the flag there, on exercise with the us and Allies Proof of the increasing importance of the region, and the focus for this new defence agreement. So what is the threat . China is the rising power in the region notjust an economic giant, but a Military One too. Its Armed Forces are modernising, it now has the worlds largest navy, its staked its claim to oceans, Fortifying Islands well outside its own territorial waters. This new pact, announced in a carefully choreographed appearance by the leaders of australia, the uk and the us, is all about china, even though they didnt mention it by name. We all recognise the imperative of ensuring Peace And Stability in the Indo Pacific over the long term. We need to be able to address both the current strategic environment in the region and how it may evolve. As to what is the pact, it starts with sharing the most sensitive of stealth technologies. Britain and america will help Australia Build A Fleet Of New nuclear powered, though not nuclear armed, submarines. The house will understand how australias Future Possession of this capability will help to safeguard the Peace And Security of the Indo Pacific. So whats the reaction . This week, london has been hosting one of the worlds largest arms fairs, where theres fierce competition for lucrative defence contracts. The plan is to build this new fleet of submarines in australia, but the government here hopes it will boost Britains Defence but this wider Defence Pact has already angered both an ally in france and a powerful rival in the region. France, which had hoped to build the submarines, has called the deal a stab in the back. But china sees it as more of a threat. Translation cooperation between the united states, the uk and australia has seriously undermined regional Peace And Stability, intensified the arms race, and undermined international Nuclear Nonproliferation efforts. The us might have led the exit from afghanistan, but this agreement shows it is not turning its back on chinas growing influence in the pacific. Jonathan beale, Bbc News. 0ur political Correspondent Ione wales is in westminster. Months of stealth planning. A sudden announcement, careful choreography, bitterly disappointed allies. We have already done the reshuffle, so lets look at the submarines. What has been the international response . Its obviously yielded a Big International Response as we heard there. Stl essentially means the us and the uk will be able to give technology to australia so that they can build nuclear powered submarines. This has been widely regarded as a move to try and hold back some of the influence that they hold up about south china sea. 0bviously hold up about south china sea. Obviously the main nation that this has caused an uproar with this china itself who have accused this as being deeply irresponsible. They have also accused this intensifying arms race, citing a cold War Mentality as well, but as we heard there as well, also caused some diplomatic tensions abets cause her to home, not least read france, and this is because this deal means that a deal that france had had with australia for a 50 Billion deal to build 12 new some brains has now been called after him something that france has referred to as a stab in the back. The eu have also said that they werent aware of this alliance. So closer to home, some tensions Building there as well. In response today, Building'>Numberten Building there as well. In response today, number ten have denied that they have damaged relations with france, citing long standing Defence And Security relationships of france as well. They also said they havent attended this alliance to be adversarial to any particular nation that goes back to the fact that both eu candles of the us and australia didnt mention china by name and talked about this back earlier, although they did cite concerns of a regional instability. So although they are claiming that this isnt meant to be adversarial, it wont necessarily stop it from being perceived that way by china. What perceived that way by china. What about political perceived that way by china. What about political reaction perceived that way by china. What about political reaction here in the uk including the bird spoke by a former Prime Minister . Uk including the bird spoke by a former Prime Minister . Thats right, so the former former Prime Minister . Thats right, so the former prime former Prime Minister . Thats right, so the former Prime Minister former Prime Minister . Thats right, so the former prime Minister Teresa J so the former prime Minister Teresa mae challenged the Prime Minister on the alliance, raising concerns that edge could mean that the uk could be dragged into any potential war in the future in taiwan if china were ever to invade taiwan. Now the pm was not specifically drawn unexplained this point but he did say that the uk would always want to defend International Law and any sort of feature circumstances like that. Now in terms of other political reaction. Today that a Labour Leader has welcomed further cooperation with the us and australia, two of the uks biggest allies. He also said he wants to hear the Prime Minister is plain to ensure that this does increase not decrease the uks influence over china, but also evidence that this will strengthen the uks relationship with nato as well and security across europe. Now, it has also yielded quite a lot of criticism from the left politically with high profile figures like the former Labour Leaderjeremy corbyn accusing bess of being a new cold wire. So certainly mixed reaction to this today, but the Defence Secretary has also been out defending the partnership saying that china making in vast massive investment in defence that the uks partners in the region needed to be able to stand their ground. Back to one of our main stories now, and glenns Care Home records must be fully Vaccinated by the 11th Of November if they want work. Diplomatic fallout as china, france and the eu criticised the Defence Pact agreed by britain, the us and australia. Sport and for a full round up, from the bbc sport centre. Good evening. Nicola sturgeon warned that the nhs faced what could be the most challenging winter it had ever experienced. Alexandra mackenzie, Bbc News, glasgow. The Ministry Of Defence is considering a request to send up to 100 armed services medics to Northern Ireland to help deal with the covid pandemic. They could be deployed between belfast City Hospital and the Ulster Hospital during october. It is understood a decision will be made next week. The bbc has seen documents suggesting that the Building-industry'>Building Industry and the government had evidence of the fire risks posed by several types of cladding more than a decade before the Grenfell Tower Fire that claimed 72 lives. Today hundreds of people caught up in the Cladding Crisis protested outside parliament. The government says its spending Five Billion pounds to remove the most dangerous cladding. But flat owners say that is not nearly enough they face repair bills running into millions of pounds. Tom symonds reports. Its going to cost £4 million to fix my Building. £7 million. £11 million. Some of the hundreds of flat Owners Today demanding protection from the costs of what has been called a Building safety crisis. A key question could this crisis have been predicted . These are Fire Test results circulated confidentially within an advisory group on safety standards. Five types of cladding failed the tests, and this was 13 years before Grenfell Tower. We can find no sign that these tests were made public. The tests, commissioned by a labour government, similar to this, included aluminium panels like those used at grenfell and high pressure laminate, known as hpl, made from wood fibre, common across the uk. Zoe bartley knows about hpl its been flagged as a risk on her Building, she cant sell. She and her partner are stuck in a three room flat with a new baby, a dog and cat. Weve been told this could be, you know, years and years. There is no finish line, and it is all consuming at times. And her reaction to hearing about the 2004 tests . Its disgusting. I mean, my Building was only built in 2011, so if those documents were about eight or nine years before that, surely these Materials Shouldnt have been used on this Building. The Ministry Of Housing said the 2004 tests were experimental, carried out to check the criteria for testing they didnt test the intrinsic safety of Building materials. But this Cladding Firm Chief Executive believes its wrong to withhold even experimental tests. The thing that strikes me the most is that all of this is information that we could have done with four years ago, and if not before. These tests are vital bits of information that we need to be able to recommend, in a case of remediation, for instance, whether a system is dangerous or not. The Grenfell Tower inquiry is about to examine what governments knew about cladding, and here thats what theyre waiting for. For so many years, we have said that we need to hold those fully responsible to account, and if that turns out the government knew about these dangerous materials being put on the side of Buildings, well, that changes everything. And not enough was done, these campaigners hope the government will be forced pay more to resolve the crisis. Tom symonds, Bbc News, westminster. The Environment Agency has been ordered by a high courtjudge to increase its efforts to reduce the smell and the emmisions from a Landfill Site in staffordshire , as a matter of urgency. The legal action was brought by a Motherfrom Newcastle under lyme. She worries that her five year old son who has chronic Lung Disease has been put at risk by poor air quality. Kathryn stanczyszyn reports. Five year old Matthew Richards was born at 26 weeks and has had problems with his lungs ever since, but his family says he has faced a bigger barrier to hell in his short life. Faced a bigger barrier to health in his short life. The noxious Hydrogen Sulphide Gas released from the Landfill Site he lives next to. In an important legal case, they took the Environment Agency to court under human Rights Law for repeatedly failing to tackle the issues at the quarry. Today a judge ruled in the familys favour, saying he was satisfied there was a direct effect on matthews private life and that the real and significant change is needed is a matter of urgency. It is absolutely amazing, absolutely amazing what has happened today. There is no other word for it. My son and all the other children who are suffering will be able to breathe Fresh Air soon. Residents have been campaigning for years about the stench in the air here and the effects of the gas on their lives. Some days are worse than others but windows are always closed. Constantly affecting our breathing, both the kids have a cough, we have Trouble Sleeping and its a real problem. Im really happy they have ruled and this has highlighted the impact it has on the area. There have been thousands of complaints about this site with locals saying the impact is pervasive and relentless, and demanding something be done about it. The Environment Agency says. Walleys Quarry Ltd says its already working towards this, but solicitors say it is a david versus Goliath Case against an agency with a duty to protect public health, and have threatened further legal action if things dont change, and quickly. Kathryn stanczyszyn, Bbc News. Now its time for a look at the weather with tomasz its been a fine day across most of the uk, and the weather this evening and overnight isnt looking too bad at all. Diplomatic fallout, as britain, the us and australia agree a Defence Pact the Prime Minster denies chinas claim that itll undermine regional stability. The Scottish Government drafts in the military to help with Ambulance Delays after the average wait for an ambulance reached six hours last week. And Tennis Superstar Emma raducanu arrives Back Home in bromley to continue the celebrations of her Us Open win. Coming up, we look back on the life of the Entrepreneur Sir Clive sinclair who has died at the age of 81. Lets get more now on the the diplomatic row that has broken out following the announcement of a new Security And Defence partnership between the uk, the us and australia. The Prime Minister says the Deal Isnt intended to be adversarial towards any other power. But china has called the pact extremely irresponsible and france says the decision to scrap its Submarine Deal with australia is a stab in the back. The pact, which will also cover ai and other technologies, is one of the biggest defence partnerships in decades. The deal will allow australia to build eight nuclear powered submarines over the next 18 months, using technology provided by the us. The subs, dont carry nuclear weapons, look the same as conventional diesel electric submarines the difference and its a Big One is their capabilities. Their nuclear powered engines makes them faster. They can stay submerged for longer, shoot missiles further and are harder to detect. Australia will become just the seventh country in the world to have these subs. The new deal is aimed at helping address concerns about Chinas Belligerence in the region and its increasing military capabilities; the size of its navy has trebled in the last 20 years and china is spending billions each year developing advanced weapons and smart technologies like artificial intelligence. Heres the us secretary of State Antony Blinken Speaking A short while ago the world saw chinas aggressive response when australia led calls for an enquiry into the origins of covid 19. Beijing has seen, over the past months, that australia will not back down and that threats of economic Retaliation And Pressure simply will not work. I also want to reiterate what i said before, the us will not leave australia alone in the field or, better yet, on the pitch, in the face of these pressure tactics. We have raised publicly and privately our serious concerns about Beijings Use of economic coercion against australia, we have made it clear that actions like these targeting our allies will hinder improvements in our own relationship with the chinese government. We welcome Australias Leadership and standing up for universal values that we seek to uphold and helping to shape an Indo Pacific region, where nations conduct themselves in ways that enhance stability, reinforce International Law, including freedom of the seas, allowed for Unimpeded Congress and respects the sovereignty of all countries. These past 70 years have proven that this is an unshakeable alliance. Im joined now by zack cooper, co director of the alliance for securing democracy and a Senior Fellow at the Think Tank german Marshall Fund of the united states. Hes in washington. Of course, has you have seen, china is not happy about this, but they have been churning out submarines by the dozens over the last couple of decades and they do not seem to think that that has increased its instability in the region, so think of the long term, this will be stabilising. If you want if you went back five years ago, most israelis would not have supported this kind of nuclear powered submarine, they would not have thought it was necessary, but because china has been so threatening, notjust to do taiwan, but in other countries, and using various forms of coercion, i think many australians now feel like they need more capability, but this is not capability for australia, to defend taiwan, is about australians defending themselves and about the United Kingdom and the united states helping them to do so. But, as a brilliant inventor, who gave millions their first introduction to computers, that is how he will be remembered. Clive sinclair who has died at the age of 81. I remember many, many happy hours on my Zx Spectrum 48 K 0nto the news. An Electricty Cable which runs between britain and france had to be shut down after catching fire in ashford in kent yesterday. The connection will be lost for nine days and its expected to have an impact on wholesale Energy Prices and ultimately on bills for consumers. We can speak now to ellen fraser, Energy Analyst from baringa partners. Ellen, thank you so much forjoining us. Does this mean that in the next few weeks, were all going to get one of those very formal letters from Energy Companies it says prices are changing, what they really mean is that prices are going up . Yes. Are changing, what they really mean is that prices are going up . Is that prices are going up . Yes, it is that prices are going up . Yes, it is an interesting is that prices are going up . Yes, it is an interesting one. Is that prices are going up . Yes, it is an interesting one. Ultimately. Is an interesting one. Ultimately the moment, a significant number of customers in the uk are actually managing through the Price Cap set by government and that Offers a level of Price Protection for these types of events, in the short term, but yes, it is inevitable over time, given the wholesale prices, actually they were high even before this fire happened, that yes, bills are likely to increase in the uk. Mine happened, that yes, bills are likely to increase in the uk. To increase in the uk. Nine days to re air so to increase in the uk. Nine days to repair so what to increase in the uk. Nine days to repair so what to increase in the uk. Nine days to repair so what what to increase in the uk. Nine days to repair so what what kind to increase in the uk. Nine days to repair so what what kind of repair so what what kind of impact might have on suppliers . Is impact might have on suppliers . Is an interesting one because it has come at a time we have already got some quite significant Supply Side challenges in the uk, so as im sure people are aware, the uks recently made a relatively big shift into renewable generation, which is fantastic, and lots of that is wind base, which is great and we have windy weather, but actually, there is a period of calm weather in the uk at the moment, so were already seeing shortfalls in terms of Wind Generation in the uk. Additionally, we have got relatively low levels of Gas Storage in the uk at the moment, and usually we effectively fill up those Gas Tanks over the summer period, but that has not happened due to some Supply Constraints coming in from russia. Actually, our Gas Stock levels in the uk are relatively low, so when you put that in on top of that the additional interconnect issue, we effectively compound those impacts and create a significant challenge for ourselves. People might be surprised to learn that a single fire on a single cable causes such potential disruption and such potential rising of prices 0ther such potential rising of prices other proper contingencies that you have in place . Other proper contingencies that you have in place . Have in place . Yes, there are multiple have in place . Yes, there are multiple interconnect have in place . Yes, there are multiple interconnect as have in place . Yes, there are multiple interconnect as the l have in place . Yes, there are i multiple interconnect as the row between us and the rest of europe, and a number into the nordics for example, in other parts of europe, but it has really because this Price Spike because of the fact that we have really got existing Supply Constraints in the uk. If it had just happen in isolation, you would see some movement in the wholesale price, but nothing like the spikes we are seeing in the last 21i hours. So what is winter expected to be like in terms of prices and demand . There is a great challenge, and ultimately we should all whisk for a windy winter in the uk a Wind Generation for its coming back into the system, that should effectively Offer us quite a significant amount Offer us quite a significant amount of respite. But the reality is that if we have quite a cold winter, and we are. Work demand for Heating Generation specifically in homes, if that happens, then we have a number of challenges. That said, Energy Suppliers and the big manufacturers in the uk tend to work quite close with each other to manage their demand quite carefully to make sure that The End consumer impact of that is relatively limited. Is relatively limited. Heres hoping then for a windy is relatively limited. Heres hoping then for a windy winter is relatively limited. Heres hoping then for a windy winter and is relatively limited. Heres hoping i then for a windy winter and fraser, thank you very much. The headlines on Bbc News. The Booster Programme gets under way, with Health Workers and the folk Over 50s on the way. All Care Home staff needs to be Vaccinated by november, today is the deadline for the first. Dramatic fallout over the new Defence Pact agreed between the uk, the us and australia. The broadcaster Piers Morgan is to join rupert Murdochs News Corp to host a new Television Show from next year and write for The Sun and the New York post. The company said the new programme would be shown in the states and australia as well as the uk. Mr morgan left good Morning Britain in march after saying he did not believe claims made by the duchess of sussex during her interview with oprah winfrey. 0ur Media and arts correspondent, David Sillito explained the background to the appointment. You could be excused for being a bit confused by all of this because it wasnt that long ago that people were saying, tvs are in terminal decline, people are just not watching it, and suddenly, we get a plethora of new News Channels, weve had Gb News launched in the summer, and of course, rupert murdoch, only a few months ago, was saying that he didnt think there was a Business Case for a new News Channel in the United Kingdom. But things have changed. Maybe looking a little bit at what happened to Gb News with that slightly declining audience, its technical troubles and the disappearance from its airwaves, of its Lead Presenter and Chairman Andrew Neil this week. It all suggests that maybe things are in flux, so they have announced that there will be injanuary, or maybe early next year, this new talk tv, it will be streaming, in america on a fox nation, which is the Fox News Streaming service, and it will even be on australia. This is the Piers Morgan programme in particular. They are looking for a global side of things in particular, but also trying to reach an audience that it feels maybe is not being served entirely by the existing landscape. Of course, you could also look at it another way, it has been a torrid time in the news business, the newspapers have been struggling, theyve been losing print readers over the years, and this is a great way of combining Radio And Tv and newspapers together to create a sort of product that feeds Off one another, the phrase is, of course, synergy, so i think that is what they will be looking for. Certainly, rupert murdoch, seen smiling with Piers Morgan in a Photograph Today is backing this, and sees that there is definitely, he thinks, a business, a gap in the market. Poor Quality Housing is causing thousands of deaths each thousands of poor Quality Housing is causing thousands of deaths each year in england. The charity says a focus on Building new houses has led to millions of homes falling below decent living standards. Michael buchanan reports. Frustrated at his housing Associations Refusal to repair his flat, this man showed its condition on social media. I was horrified, embarrassed. The family had been complaining for months about the various problems, even as his father lay dying of cancer. He had nurses coming in and feeding through a tube through his stomach in a place that was infected with cockroaches, mice, rodents, asbestos everywhere. Its just beyond words. It made a bad experience much worse. He shamed the Housing Association Clarion into renovating his home, but that is not enough for the 22 year old student. Inundated by other clarion residents with similar problems, he is on a mission to improve every dilapidated home owned by the housing association. These people are living in environments that go completely and break every single Health And Safety standard going, and still theyre being ignored. I dont know at that point im thinking, what are they waiting for . Is it someone to die in these properties until something is done . I told them Todays Report says poor Quality Housing is killing people. I told them trips and falls, Respiratory Diseases and homes that cannot be heated properly. England, they say, has some of europes most dilapidated housing stock. We absolutely need new homes to be built. Even if we get to 250,000 homes a year, its dwarfed by the 2a million homes we already have. 80 of the homes we will be living in in 30 years time we already have, and they are already, many of them, poor quality. You are also the chairman of clarion housing association, as well. What has gone wrong . We have been publicly shamed. The homes that have been featured are part of a major Regeneration Project and, because we have been focusing on the regeneration, weve been less concerned about the quality of the homes on a day to day basis. And we got that wrong and have taken huge steps to change it. Most poor housing is owner occupied, and the report praises an innovative scheme that provides low cost loans to those who cannot afford repairs. We work with a lot of people who are asset rich and cash poor so we can make the payments over a longer timescale so were not giving anything away, people are borrowing the money and paying it back. Repairing englands Four Million poor quality homes plays a crucial part in solving the countrys housing shortage. Michael buchanan, Bbc News. Working from home has become the norm for millions of people during the pandemic. But as life slowly readjusts again, what will the Office of the future look like . A survey conducted for the bbc shows that most workers and bosses who were polled are predicting that staff will never return to Offices at the same rate as before the pandemic. 22 of workers said they would like to work from home all of the time and 38 say they want to work from home some of the week. Our Business Editor Simonjack has been looking at the changing world of work, and the potential Power Shift from employer to employee. Remember this . Millions of people may not have seen the inside of a busy Office for 18 months. Bt is shutting 870 of its 900 Offices and creating 30 super herbs hubs like this one in birmingham. The boss thinks time in the Office is important. What they can do here that they cant do at home is that they can collaborate, work together in teams, be creative and they can establish personal relationships which you really cant do over zoom or teams, in the way that weve learnt over the last 18 months. How many days, ballpark, would you be looking for people to work in the Office, per week . I think if you are. Historically if you had a job that was five days a week in the Office, i think, philosophically, conceptually, a sort of four day per week would be all right, may be as little as three but not five. That would suit a Graduate Alice would like to spend three days a week in the Office. The last year and a half weve been stuck at home, staring at the Computer Screen all day, i did like the extra hours that i got in the day, you know, taking out the commutes, but i think, The End of the day, it was really nice to be able to come back in and to meet different people that you wouldnt usually speak to day to day. Last year, we visited the Office of this birmingham marketing agency. They decided they didnt need it and now they meet once a week in a bar, cafe or shared workspace. No Office, no regrets. We dont want to tie people down any more to having to sit at a desk because that is the only place we can trust them to do theirjob. Actually when we are looking at new talent, we are looking at the best people for the jobs, they can work from anywhere and for us as a business, that means we are expanding quickly never before. Is big return to the Office is still in its early days and the governments made clear that if covid 19 hit hard this winter, it could be reversed. No one really knows what the new normal is, but some things seem clear, with hybrid working being here to stay and when it comes to negotiations about what works for the employer and what works for the employee, with One Million vacancies and labour shortages, the employee can be a lot more choosy about what works for them. This Recruitment Consultant says many people are turning down jobs that dont fit around their Post Covid 19 lives. New childcare arrangements, new hobbies, even new pets and many of those who are going back are looking around for something more flexible. Although lots of candidates are following order at going back to the Office as the employer requires, but they also the same people who are calling us telling us that they are looking for another role because they dont want to come into the Office three days a Week Orfour days a week, they want to come in one day a week or not at all. Reports of the death of the Office have been greatly exaggerated and while this looks familiar, Office-life'>Office Life may never be quite the same again. As weve been hearing, Elite Test Results suggest that the government 13 years before the grand hotel fire. Fire test carried out in the year 2004 funny series of failures, but the results were never made public. Items that fail to checks included aluminium panels like those at granville and commonly used laminated panels. The Ministry Of Housing treaties and local government says that those tests were exponential. Steve mckenzie is an independent Fire And Resilience expect. Hejoins us now. Thank you so much forjoining us. Should these tests have raised the alarm . Yes. Tests have raised the alarm . Yes, definitel. Tests have raised the alarm . Yes, definitely. The tests have raised the alarm . Yes, definitely. The Government Tests have raised the alarm . Is definitely. The government goes back as far as 2000 and the first enquiry into external cladding and external fire spread, we know that there has been tested in the domain, in the public gift from government to head Off this national crisis. We repeatedly hear reorganisations, potentially representing governments, and also manufacturers, hiding behind those Nondisclosure Agreements and they have even openly admitted to such in common select ways, but they have plunged an entire population, entire generation into this Building safety crisis. The government says that those tests were carried out to check the criteria for testing, rather than to assess the intrinsic safety of Building materials. Does that explanation to make sense to you . Know because then they are saying any Test Failures should have reliably informed any Test Regimes going forward, the government is deeply flawed and only accepting the past and not actually publishing on all the failures. We actually need to see a retest of the governors criteria from the class 0 types materials, to the modern modern European Classes and get a full Spectrum Bandwidth of what passes, what fails, and who the police is and who is responsible for this crisis. Put this back to government. They are the Root Cause of this crisis, they have allowed manufacturers to gain the system, they have not placed Test Houses and Test Specification bodies and now we have got thousands of logs and millions of families impacted in a massive funding Back Home, not for social housing, private Housing Providers and unfortunately, this government believes that leaseholders should pick up the tab. It is not acceptable. And we have talked about that angle, we have covered in interviews with leaseholders. There is from a financial point of view, but from a Safety Point of view, should those leaseholders be worried about the current situation with cladding, should they be reassured that there is very likely to be any risk are what they think . Governments absolute with what they think . Governments absolute with its what they think . Governments absolute with its response what they think . Governments| absolute with its response after granville, and its years since, is absolutely confusing of what is compliant and to whom, and what is says and what should be benchmarked Safe Stop only last week, London Fire brigade stated that 1000 Buildings have a different have change the type of Fire Alarm and Fire Evacuation Process and it is useless pinning that information as on a friday, to advise leaseholders and families. We do not know what is safe any more and we have even seen the Prime Minister with this. Fire minister he waffled through his response and said there are two new Buildings we classified as dangerous. What is the exact decision . And when will this government to get a grip of this crisis . Foryears government to get a grip of this crisis .
