A move they say could make or break the summer getaway. Turkey trips could get the Go Ahead but jamaica and St Lucia may soon be Off Limits. Ill explain what you need to know. Theres gold up for grabs with three brits vying for a win in the paralympic pool. Ellie simmonds defends her title against Maisie'>World Champion Maisie Summers Newton, and European Bronze medallist Grace Harvey. Good morning. Yesterday was the warmest day of this august so far. The temperature reached 27. 2 in the highlands. Today it will be cooler, starting with a lot of clout. That should break more especially in the west. All the details in 25 minutes. Its Thursday 26th august. Our top story. The uk, the United States and australia have all told their citizens to stay away from Kabul Airport amid concerns that terrorists could launch an imminent attack. The Foreign Office has issued updated advice, just days before the deadline for evacuation flights, as foreign troops prepare to leave afghanistan. Thousands of afghan interpreters and other staff who worked for the uk have reportedly passed Security Checks but remain stuck in kabul. Graham satchell reports. Day after day, for more than a week now, distressing pictures of afghans at Kabul Airport desperate to leave. Now a new warning from the british and american governments, who say there is a high threat of a Terrorist Attack here. The advice do not travel to the airport. It means a hugely difficult operation to get people out has just got worse. Latest figures from the Ministry-of-defence'>Ministry Of Defence show more than 11,000 people have so far been evacuated to the uk. Of those, almost 7,000 are afghans and their families. But an estimated 2,000 interpreters and other staff who worked for britain still need to be evacuated. The bbc has spoken to one former interpreter now in hiding in kabul, terrified of being discovered by the taliban. If im left here, i will be killed by them as soon as they find me. So it will be very important for me to get as soon as possible to the uk because i worked for three years with the british forces and so the taliban will never, ever leave me alive. 0vernight, another plane arrives at Raf Brize Norton in 0xfordshire. On board, the lucky ones whove made it. But this operation is time limited officially, the deadline is next tuesday. In reality, the window will close before then it will take at least 48 hours for british and american troops to manage their own departure. So a plea from a former Military Commander in afghanistan. Please dont leave them behind. In the time thats available in the next five or six days, dont close The Gates lets get the most vulnerable people into the united kingdom and into safety. Notjust interpreters, but those who fought on the battlefield against the taliban, and those who fought that ideology and are therefore under significant threat. The taliban control the streets of kabul and decide who gets out. With the new advice to stay away from the airport, there are now serious questions about how this operation will end, and how many more people will make it to safety. Graham satchell, Bbc News. 0ur political Correspondent Ione wells joins us now from westminster. This latest foreign Office Advice in amongst what is already a complicated picture has confused things even further. Things even further. Thats right. One of a number things even further. Thats right. One of a number of things even further. Thats right. One of a number of issues things even further. Thats right. One of a number of issues facing things even further. Thats right. One of a number of issues facing the Evacuation Process. The fco have advised people not to travel to Kabul Airport because of the territory it. That includes the hotel where officials have been Processing Afghans and brits before they board the plane. People are being advised is said to go to a self giving up a safe location and stay there and wait for further advice. The emphasis on processing people already at the airport and the hotel. Another issue facing the Evacuation Process is at the Defence Secretary Ben Wallace told Mps Yesterday that people who have not been contacted about getting a flight will be better off trying to make their way to a Land Border instead. I understand the Foreign Secretary Minic-rob'>DoMinic Rob also told Mps On Tuesday that the government with looking at setting up more Processing Points for evacuations over the border to places like pakistan. That has been made by the chair of the Defence Committee at tobias ellwood, that if the taliban dont approve the Land Borders commit the message is not communicated to people on the ground, the fear is that chaos could ensuring if People Cant Board flights and have to get to borders in other ways. All of this of course against the backdrop of time, which is a last big issue facing this Evacuation Process. We know the deadline for us troops withdrawing is on tuesday, but in reality its much sooner, given that the us forces need to close down their operations, british officials and military want to be out before them. Really we are now in the final hours of this evacuation as we know it. For the moment, ione, Thank You. Will get more at 7 30am with James Heappey, the armed Minister'>Forces Minister, and we will get more details on what is planned and timings. Ministers are facing fresh warnings about the effect of removing extra universal credit payments in the autumn. Two conservative mps have written to the prime Minister, saying that cutting the £20 a Week Uplift risks underMining his Levelling Up agenda. The government say its focused on getting claimants back into work, but campaigning charities say many could end up in debt. 0ur political Correspondent Nick eardley reports. The number of people on universal credit has almost doubled during the pandemic to almost six million, and since last March Theyve been getting an extra £20 a week. But that temporary uplift comes to an end in october. Antony is one of those worried about the impact thatll have. £80 is not a lot for some people. 0nce ive paid bills ill be left with probably about £60 £60, £70 for the month. That wont do me a months shopping. No chance, evenjust a single person. Charities are warning about the impact, too. Citizens advice surveyed 2,000 people on universal credit, and they think more than a third could be forced into debt when the uplift ends. Here at westminster, a number of mps are worried, too. 0pposition parties want the extra money to be made permanent and a growing number of conservatives are saying the same. In a letter today, Two Tory Mps tell the prime Minister to rethink. They say they are alarmed to see the government unwilling to heed the widespread warnings that are coming from all quarters. They add those who receive the money are most in need of Levelling Up, which the government has made its key mission. Ministers say the extra money was always temporary, and theyre now focused on a plan forjobs. But the pressure is only likely to grow in the coming weeks. Nick eardley, Bbc News, westminster. Covid vaccines are being offered at the reading and Leeds Festivals this weekend in an effort to increase take up in young adults. Pop up clinics will be open at both events, but health officials said people under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be given a jab. Its after two other festivals were linked to a surge in cases in recent weeks. Nhs trusts in england have been told to prepare for the possible extension of the Coronavirus Vaccination Programme to i2 to 15 year olds next month. Currentlyjabs are only offered to children if they have certain Health Conditions or live with a vulnerable adult. Thejoint committee on vaccination and immunisation is weighing up the arguments for the move. The Department Of Health says no final decision has been made. The nhs has temporarily stopped some Blood Testing in england for certain conditions, like pre diabetes and allergies, due to shortages of collection tubes. Doctors are being urged to stagger regular Blood Tests if its clinically safe. Becton dickinson, the medical Device Company which makes vials for the nhs, has warned of serious Supply Chain issues across the uk. Lets Take A Look at todays papers. The latest on the crisis in afghanistan leads todays guardian. It reports the Defence Secretary saying afghans who want to flee to britain may be better off trying to get to the border rather than wait for Raf Rescue flights. Theres also a picture of Dame Sarah Storey after her Gold Medal Win at the paralympics yesterday. The daily telegraph says the nhs in england has drawn up plans to give Covid Vaccinations To I2 to 15 year olds. It claims Health Trusts are being told to prepare for a possible roll out next month. But the paper also notes that the jabs havent yet been recommended for that age group. The Daily Mirror says theres a race to get Covid Boosterjabs to people, as deaths and infections rise. The paper adds that there are fears from medics that Vaccine Protection among the elderly could drop by 50 . And online the metro is reporting that the us actor michael nader, best known for his role in the soap dynasty, has died from cancer at the age of 76. He played joan collins love interest, Dex Dexter in the long running series, which he starred in from 1983, until the programme came to an end in 1989. YOu Are talking about summer holidays because we are still looking at the red, amber and green this and the announcement still coming through we have all that familiar with the idea of the Traffic Light System but we are keeping a really close eye on it because it will now determine whether there is anything left of the summer, particularly for those firms trying to get us On Holiday. Can we get over the next few weeks . Thats right. Lots riding on this latest reshuffle with Holiday Makers and the Travel Industry waiting to see which countries are red, amber or green. And for many of us this is as close as well get to a beach this year. Lots of us opting to holiday closer to home this summer to avoid tests and restrictions. Staycations are booming, and so is the price, but what are the chances of a foreign trip any time soon . We know by now, that depends on this the Traffic Light System. Red destinations are a No Go for holidays. Uk nationals coming back from these places have to cough up thousands of pounds to quarantine in an approved airport hotel. If youre double vaccinated then Amber Destinations are open and you wont have to self isolate when you get back. Just a couple of tests to take. But there is a risk the country turn red while youre away. That happened to mexico three weeks ago leading to a scramble for flights home. Spain, italy, greece, france and portugal are all amber. Green places are the safest for travel. Malta and germany are on the list. But as with Amber Destinations you will still have to pay for tests before you leave and when you get back. The government this week issued a warning to some of the Cowboy Test providers. Theyre accused of charging too much, and failing to deliver tests in time. Lots of places including australia and the us are still Off Limits. Theyre still not allowing Uk Nationals to visit. No matter what List 0ur Government puts those countries on. So travel as normal still clearly a long way off but what changes could we see today . We caught up with Travel Guru Simon Calder in berlin airport. Im expecting changes to be more positive than negative in terms of easing travel rules. But, of course, for many families, its simply going to be too late. If turkey is moved from the Red List requiring Hotel Quarantine to the Amber List, that would be hugely to the benefit of many british people with Family Connections in turkey and of course people who own property simply want to go for a late summer break. Were also expecting fearing some countries could be moved to the Red List but i can guarantee that will not include our favourites spain, france, portugaland greece. Lets speak to tim hawkins, the chief of staff at manchester airports group. The company also operates stansted and East Midlands airports. Good morning. We get the latest announcement was that we are familiar with how it works now but what are you expecting to see and what are you expecting to see and what difference will it make for yOu And the airports . We what difference will it make for yOu And the airports . And the airports . We are expecting to see similar and the airports . We are expecting to see similar to and the airports . Some positive moves today, potentially some countries moving to the Red List, unfortunately. Buti some countries moving to the Red List, unfortunately. But i think the main issue we are facing at the moment is really the cost of testing and be expensive and only rest requirements on passengers to come back from amber and green countries, thatis back from amber and green countries, that is the main issue we want government to address. You have called for an government to address. You have called for an Overhaul Government to address. You have called for an overhaul of government to address. You have called for an overhaul of the I Government to address. You have i called for an overhaul of the system entirely, saying it is too difficult to navigate, meaning destinations that are potentially safe people are just not going to because of all the requirements they will need to fill in. What would you like the system to look like instead . That in. What would you like the system to look like instead . In. What would you like the system to look like instead . At the moment we have one to look like instead . At the moment we have one of to look like instead . At the moment we have one of the to look like instead . At the moment we have one of the most to look like instead . At the moment we have one of the most complex i we have one of the most complex systems of any country. One of the most expensive. First and foremost we want to see the requirement for vaccinated passengers coming back from green and amber countries to take a test. We want to see that listed. We think that will make a huge difference to peoples travel. I think people are currently being put off travel by those requirements. We are seeing a great Big Gap opened up between the recovery we have seen in the uk and the recovery we are seeing in europe, so there is plenty to do in terms of stimulating demand. Hour europe, so there is plenty to do in terms of stimulating demand. How has this summer terms of stimulating demand. How has this Summer Been Terms of stimulating demand. How has this summer been so terms of stimulating demand. How has this summer been so far . Terms of stimulating demand. How has this summer been so far . A terms of stimulating demand. How has this summer been so far . A Lot Terms of stimulating demand. How has this summer been so far . A lot i i this summer been so far . A lot i seeing this as the last Roll Of The Dice to save what is left of the summer, and if you dont get what you need today, writes off the summer as far as travel is concerned. Is it that serious with yellow i think it is that last chance to make a difference. If we see countries move from the Red List to the green and ambit lists, it will open up travel and important opportunities for people. It is important to remember it nearly 90 of Uk Travel market is either on the green or Amber List so the main thing is the requirement for testing. It is expensive, we have gone for the highest form of testing we could have done and that is putting people off from travelling abroad at the moment. We have to change that, we have to move into line with the change that, we have to move Ito Line with the European System where people are free to travel between countries likely without taking any test. I think if we do that we will start to close the gap on the European Recovery that is under way. Clearly Summer Period is always one of your busiest, it the most lucrative as far as a Travel Industry is concerned. What does the Autumn And Winter look like right now . A lot of fears about if people are not to go away in the summer months, The End of year looks miserable. Unless we see those kind of changes over the few weeks then | miserable. Unless we see those kind | of changes over the few weeks then i think the recovery will run out of steam. I think we have around one third of our normal Traffic Levels over the summer. It has been a long, hard fight over the last few months to build up that traffic as the Traffic Light System has changed and unless we see further changes and we make it more affordable and less of a hassle for people to travel, we think that recovery will cap out at that kind of level. Europe is already operating at two thirds of its normal traffic volumes, so we have that opportunity and i think we need to see those changes made in the next couple of weeks, the next scheduled review is the 1st Of October after this one. A brilliant response from all the young people, all the festival attendees, because actually they know that this is the way forward, unfortunately, for them, that they either have to be Tested or vaccinated to enjoy the life that comparable teenagers, for example, were enjoying in 2018 and 2019. It said it all yesterday for some of us. Yesterday we had l really. It said it all yesterday for l some of us. Yesterday we had the highest temperature achieved this august so far. It reached 27. 2 degrees in tyndrum in the highlands. We probably wont see that for the rest of august. High pressure is very much in charge. We have dragged a lot of Cloud And Moisture from the North Sea, plus we have a Weather Front sinking southwards and towards the west. As a result it is a fairly cloudy start to the day. Also some folk around, especially across Northern Ireland. Patches across wales and south West Scotland. That will lift and it will brighten up, especially in the west. In the east you can see we hang on to a fair bit of cloud. They might be one or two brighter breaks but a brisk breeze across the South East and coming down the North Sea coast generally, so here under The Cloud and with that breeze it will feel quite bracing. Move out to the west, looking at some sunshine, somewhere across south West Scotland we could hit it may be 22 or 23 degrees, but generally speaking these are our temperatures. 1a to about 23. As we head through the evening and overnight we still will have quite a bit of cloud coming in from the North Sea. We also still have that brisk breeze. Some clear breaks out towards the west Stop Temperatures not falling away to low for most, but in some sheltered glens of aberdeenshire, round moray, temperatures could dip as low as five or 6 degrees. That will be a Shock To The System first thing in the morning as we go through tomorrow, generally speaking once again we start off with a fair bit of cloud around. A brighter, sunnier day across East Anglia and the South East, although it will be breezy here. You can see there will be some holes in The Cloud and also a fair bit of sunshine across scotland and also Northern Ireland. These are our temperatures, 1a to about 20 degrees. Once again slipping slightly. The temperatures, the average temperature at this time of year, should be roughly between 19 to 21 or 22 north to south. It is saturday, a lot of dry weather around, it will be a cold night on friday, a chilly start On Saturday. A lot of sunshine. Still breezy along the North Sea coastline, so here temperatures a day will be that bit lower. Some cloud coming and going through the course of the day On Saturday and you can see these showers on the near continent. There is a chance that one or two of those could clip kent as we go through the course of the day. Also more cloud at times coming in across the north and west. It is sunday, similar conditions, chasing The Cloud basically. Still cooler along the 90 coastline with this brisk breeze but a fair bit of sunshine around and temperatures up to about 20. I will have more later. Hello, this is breakfast with Charlie Stayt and naga munchetty. Coming up on breakfast this morning. A look at the main story which is all linked to the evacuation of kabul. And you will be aware that british nationals in afghanistan are being urged by the Foreign Office to stay away from the airport itself because of renewed security fears. The evacuation is entering its final few days. Uk citizens and afghans are working out who will be airlifted to safety. We will be talking to the armed Minister'>Forces Minister later on how the process will be continuing. Lets pick up with one individual story. Afghanjournalist bilal sarwary is among those who have been evacuated from Kabul Airport in recent days. Good morning. You left home with just a change of clothes and you have a young family as well. YOu Are in kabul and have gone into hiding. Give us a sense of that progression, from the time you realised you were in danger to getting to safety. I had been covering afghanistan in the last 20 years when i started working as a translator in 2001, first covering the us Air Strikes against the taliban and the subsequent fall of the taliban. I have never thought, in my wildest dreams, that 20 years later i would be covering the four of afghanistan again the fall of afghanistan. This time i kept reporting on these mass surrenders across many provinces where city after city after city had fallen and afghan government officials were making their own deals with the taliban and suddenly kabul fell and the taliban were on the streets, so i continued reporting. I did know some taliban officials from 20 years ago that i was in contact with. They knew who i was in contact with. They knew who i was because i was also reporting in local languages and then suddenly various groups of the taliban started appearing and inquiring about me and we confronted them. We knew from the taliban they had instructed their fighters that they were not allowed to go inside peoples homes. And then i had to basically leave the desk from where i had been telling the world the story of the people of afghanistan just with my laptop, a couple of iphones and some clothes and i had to literally hide in a city that i did not feel was safe for me. A city i knew inch by inch, that i called home, and that i think was the most excruciating part of this whole tragedy that unfolded and so many afghan lives, just like mine, and i could not even tell my Family Members and friends where i was and what was happening. I was scared that communication was not safe as well and then thanks to the qatari state for flying hundred and 50 or more afghans onto a flight to doha and we were escorted by the qatari ambassador, very dynamic personality and once i was on that bus, that was the most painfuljourney of a few minutes in negotiating your way through talybont checkpoints which the qataris were able to do and once i was in the airport, i knew i wasnt discovering the story. I knew this was the second time in my life that i was fleeing my homeland and i saw on that bus the most popular tv presenter. My wife recognised the woman who the people in afghanistan would wake up to in the morning and i saw the Artist Banksy who was painting messages from anti corruption to police on the streets of kabul and it was unbelievably heartbreaking that moment when i knew i had basically buried my dreams and aspirations and i was leaving the city that i call home, the city that gave us the strength, the city of love, the city of contradictions, the Melting Pot of contradictions, the Melting Pot of afghanistan where we met all others. But we had international friends who also got attached to the city like we did. Friends who also got attached to the city like we did city like we did. Bilal, i know you have a young city like we did. Bilal, i know you have a young Baby City like we did. Bilal, i know you have a young Baby Daughter City like we did. Bilal, i know you have a young Baby Daughter and | city like we did. Bilal, i know you i have a young Baby Daughter and im sure that your thoughts are very much of the country you love but also the safety of your family. Tell us a little bit about her than i can only imagine, as you see the images we are seeing now of afghans desperate to get to their families and people handing their young ones over to some of the military to get them into kabul air base, your thoughts must very much he them into kabul air base, your thoughts must very much be with them. , thoughts must very much be with them. , thoughts must very much be with them. , them. Our Baby Daughter i believe she is new them. Our Baby Daughter i believe she is now 49 them. Our Baby Daughter i believe she is now 49 or them. Our Baby Daughter i believe she is now 49 or 50 them. Our Baby Daughter i believe she is now 49 or 50 days them. Our Baby Daughter i believe she is now 49 or 50 days old them. Our Baby Daughter i believe she is now 49 or 50 days old and l she is now 49 or 50 days old and when she was born we named her solar, which means peace, because we had lost so many of our own friends and Family Members and we came up with the name hoping there would be that comprehensive permanent ceasefire and i remember writing for the telegraph about how covering the war had taken me me away, and little did i know a few weeks ago that this would be my own Daughters Fate and i very much thought she would be able to grow than a normal country and go to school in afghanistan but someday i hope she will understand that this was in her interests and it was my main concern, how can we go through the airport. Not only was my concern for my daughter but also my concern for my daughter but also my wife and elderly parents. Again countries like the qatari state, they have the Leverage And Influence and that can be part of a very peaceful Evacuation Process, the humanitarian corridor. And i also know that i am the lucky one and i am very grateful because thousands of afghans, including ourfriends are still in hiding and they fear Making Thatjourney into the airport, through the taliban and i would want to thank the americans and british, a lot of these European Nations behind the scenes. I know they have helped with the evacuation, and you know, ordinary citizens in the west they have paid for chartered flights, but what is worrying afghans is this artificial timelines, deadlines which are sending shock waves. We have to put this into the context that the evacuation is taking place in the 11th Hour and a lot of afghans were asked for documents in the last few months and they had to go through a lot of Red Tape with the afghan government institutions and they could not afford to get thousands of dollars to get their passport or national identities and in hindsight, i think this process could have been smoother and they should have been more flexibility but the international community and the west must understand that if they abandon these this Generation of afghans, the british, the americans, the europeans, they are vulnerable and their lives are at great risk and this Generation must be preserved because this is the result of massive investment by the international community in blood and treasure. This is afghanistans cream of the crop, the educated Generation, the global Generation, the 9 11 Generation. Can i Generation, the global Generation, the 9 11 Generation. The 9 11 Generation. Can i ust ask ou, as the 9 11 Generation. Can i ust ask you. As we the 9 11 Generation. Can i ust ask you. As we fl the 9 11 Generation. Can i ust ask you, as we are facing the 9 11 Generation. Can ijust ask you, as we are facing effectively i you, as we are facing effectively the final hours of the evacuation, because we know there will be a short period of time now where flights can take off and Kabul Airport will then come under the control of the taliban. There are real fears over the numbers who either have joint british citizenship or have connections to the uk. For example i know the us and many other countries. What are your concerns about those left behind, and do you think many will be . I behind, and do you think many will be . ~. ,. , behind, and do you think many will be . ~. , ~. , behind, and do you think many will be . ~. , ~. Be . I think thousands of afghans are not only vulnerable be . I think thousands of afghans are not only vulnerable and be . I think thousands of afghans are not only vulnerable and exposed be . I think thousands of afghans are not only vulnerable and exposed the | not only vulnerable and exposed the Village And District level where the taliban have identified them, but there are lives are under massive risk, which is why i think the international community, including great britain and the us and other European Countries must use smarter diplomatic channels through the governments of the qatari state, pakistan, saudi arabia, many of these other countries, turkey, and get them to take over the process of physical evacuation. I think the humanitarian corridor still must be opened, and lets forget that the taliban are not of the shadow government, they are the government whether we like it or not and with that comes a lot of responsibility, so the world is watching, the afghan people are watching, and the international community must make sure that they dont take their eyes off afghanistan, just like they did in the 19905 and they should use their influence and we have to be honest. This is about millions of afghans still needing food, there is the risk of starvation, famine. We have seen drought and i was covering this one myself, quite tragically for the last year or so, the firing started at the peak of the fruit season, the harvest season, so afghanistan has suffered massive economic loss, especially the farmers. I remember In The Valley outside of kandahar during the pomegranate seasons, the farmers lost a lot in the grapes, the aprils the apples, apricots, the world must think about the 18 Million plus afghans and we have to learn from the lessons of the 19905 that you cannot simply ignore any country anywhere in the world, because if you do so, the problem of that country will come to your doorstep. Bilal, Thank You for speaking to us today and im very pleased that yOu And yourfamily today and im very pleased that yOu And your family are safe, today and im very pleased that yOu And yourfamily are safe, so today and im very pleased that yOu And your family are safe, so Thank You for speaking to us. Theres been a significant rise in the number of people requesting help for Binge Eating disorder over the past three years, according to the Charity Beat. Bed is classed as a serious Mental Illness where people eat large quantities of food without feeling like theyre in control of what theyre doing. Beat says its more common than anorexia and bulimia, but isnt properly understood. Breakfast s Jayne Mccubbin has been speaking to two women whove been living with the condition and have chosen to share their stories to raise awareness. Some people may find details injaynes report upsetting. It feels like a battle, yeah, definitely. Yeah. Its hard. Yeah. Sorry, ive got upset. Are yOu All right . Its just a lack of thinking, and itjust feels like a frenzy. And the only way to kind of get rid of that feeling whatever that is is to hinge and to eat until Ijust Cant feel it any more. Eating disorder Charity Beat has told Bbc Breakfast they have evidence which indicates Binge Eating has exploded. Calls to its helplines have increased more than 360 in the last three years. Most of that a 220 increase was through 2020 and the pandemic. Lauren is 34 a single mum with a child with special needs, she works in the nhs. Martha is 20, a university student. Both have agreed to share their stories. So they happen every single day. For me, personally, its normally once a day. Can be maybe one to two times a day. Pizzas takeaway pizzas mcdonalds. It doesnt just stop at that takeaway of an evening or fast food. Packets of crisps. Quantities, maybe packs of, like, croissants and things. Some chocolate or some chocolate yoghurts. Since he was born, ive put on nine stone. It is a daily battle, yeah. You know, once that day is sort of drawing to a close, i know that my battle starts as soon as hes in bed. But, yeah, i am at a point wHere I Am desperate, i desperately want help. Itsjust eating anything i can get my hands on in the shortest amount of time possible. Combinations of foods, foods i might want separately butjust dont have the time or the effort to separate. Frozen bread, frozen yorkshire pudding. I dont want to be caught, i dont want to be toasting bread. I dont want to put things in the oven. Ijust want to eat as much as possible in the shortest amount of time. Ill grab the whole box of cereal and bring up a whole pint of milk and then bring that upstairs to my room and keep it in my cupboard in Case Someone comes in. These arent rational choices about foods that you enjoy. No, its not rational and it doesnt taste nice a lot of the time. Crunching on frozen bread, on Literaljust Ice is not a pleasant experience. And, you know, adding butter to that, its not tasty. Thatsjust more food, more calories. Its. Yeah. Its not a treat, its not a pleasant experience. Its not a late night snack. No. Its not a get over The End of the day and enjoy something. Itsjust a compulsion and you want it to stop. Yeah. I mean, im crying whilst eating most of the time. In total, almost 40,000 people have called Beat Helplines about Binge Eating since 2018. The charity says this is likely to be the tip of the iceberg. I think we have no idea about the scale of this problem. My instinct is that its huge. Sarah is a therapist whos tackled her own Binge Eating disorder. Binge eating disorder is twice as common as anorexia, and its also more common than bulimia. Theres a sense that. Youve just lost control. Taking food out of the rubbish bin, taking food that doesnt belong to them. All of this is really common. So if anybodys watching this, i would just want to say that youre not alone. Lorren tells me she hides evidence of binges. Instead of sort of routinely putting the waste or the rubbish in my kitchen bin, i would fill a black bag and put it straight into the bin so that if anybody came round and they were to look in sort of my kitchen bin, they wouldnt see any evidence. Martha tells me there were occasions when she took food from other homes. And i would just fill my bag just filled with wrappers of their food and just feeling so guilty. Its not something you want to do. Its not something it sits with your values. You dont agree with it, its all awful. Its a compulsion. Yeah, it feels compulsive and theres no alternative until you kind of. Fill up to the point you cant eat any more. Beat say just less than half of those who sought medical help felt they were taken seriously. So they would have referred me to a dietician. There was never sort of a mental Health Aspect looked into. Have you tried exercise . Have you tried having more structure . Have you tried, you know, keeping your mind off it, distracting yourself after youve eaten . You know. Yeah, of course. Of course ive tried all these things. Everyones tried all these things. Thats unhelpful. Itsjust hopeless. Its completely hopeless. Thats how you feel. Yeah, i think thats how i feel. And i think thats how a lot of people feel. Binge eating experts tell us we have no real idea of the true scale of the problem. In a statement, the government acknowledged Mental Health Services have faced an increased demand during the pandemic, but theyre investing £500 million in the area. So i think this is a problem of huge proportions that were just not aware about. We dont know enough about it. We need to get better help. And that means people. Going to their gps to tell them whats happening because until we know whos struggling, we dont know the size of this problem and therefore the resources are just not going to be there for us. I we are grateful to both women to being so candid about the condition and it will draw attention to it. If youve been affected by any of the issues raised, you can find Help And Advice at bbc. Co. India chose to Bat Yesterday and were remarkably bowled out for just 78 runs. Once Againjimmy Anderson was the man to lead the charge for england. Taking two early wickets including one in the first over before getting captain Virat Kohli for just 7. Ollie robinson and Craig Overton took two wickets each as india fell forjust 78. After nearly a years delay, curtains will finally go up on frozen the musical this weekend. Tim muffett has been speaking to the cast ahead of The Shows Opening Night. For the first time in forever, therell be music, therell be light. Theatres closed for 18 months, an industry in need of a lift. Time its hoped to finally. Let it go, Let It Go frozen the musical a Stage Show based on the smash hit film. For so long, we were just, as an industry, wondering when it will come back. But when we all arrived at the theatre, we were like, whoa this huge theatrical production has already been staged in new york, australia and japan, and is now set to open in london. Hello, obi, good to meet you. Hi, tim. Thats one impressive ice bridge. Welcome to theatre royal, drury lane. Here we are, the home of Frozen London for the next year. This is ourfirst time performing after nearly two years. So i think, for a lot of us, we are just anxious to to share that. The film frozen has become one of the most successful animated movies of all time. Its taken more than £1 billion at the box office, and it gave the world that song. Let it go, Let It Go. I am one with the Wind And Sky. Its so exciting to get to do Let It Go, because theresjust so much magic thats the only thing i can describe it as. Itsjust so magic and so it feels like. Itjust feels thrilling. Like, the first time i got to do it with all the elements was maybe one of the most exciting in my career. Let it go, Let It Go. When ill rise like the break of dawn. Let it go, Let It Go. That perfect girl is gone. What its about, we can all connect to on such a great level, i think. Like, i think weve all had a Let It Go moment in our lives, and its sort of about fully embracing who yOu Are and just not worrying about what everyone else is thinking and just being like, Here I Am and this place. Its amazing. Frozen tells the story of Sisters Anna and elsa driven apart when elsas magical power traps their kingdom in an eternal winter. Appreciate neither of you spent lockdown in an Ice Palace im presuming but there was isolation, wasnt there, for all of us. And that kind of, i suppose, ties, in a way, a bit the story. Absolutely. And weve spoken at some rehearsals how, like, what weve all been through has added even more Weight And Meaning to this story. Because weve all been. We all know elsas sort of isolation, that feeling of being alone and not being able to be with the people you love the most and to connect. I dont know how were going to hold it together on Opening Night when we have that moment where we all sing open up The Gates and its just going to feel. Its going to feel so special. Do you wanna build a snowman . This is a story and a film so many people are familiar with. Theyve got a preconceived idea. So what challenges does that pose to a Theatre Production . Do you try and copy the film or do you make it deliberately different . How hard is it to strike that balance . Well, i think what you have to go in and say is, you have to do one or the other. So the idea of the live frozen was not to duplicate the movie, right . It was to. Lets do something more original. Lets make this story about these two women and the strength that they have for each other. Let the Storm Rage on. The frozen phenomenon continues eight years after the films release its time to find out if a Stage Version can also cast a spell. Tim muffett, Bbc News. Today, well its a good start and cloudy with Mist And Fog around but for some of us we will see sunshine later on in the day, but what is happening we have this cold front sinking South West and behind it we have this northerly wind and it will feel chilly and its also picking up moisture from the North Sea so you can see all of this cloud, they can offer some drizzle. Some Fog Patches across parts of wales, south West Scotland and also Northern Ireland and they will tend to lift and then you will see how it brightens up towards the west, but temperature wise, cooler along the North Sea coastline. Yesterday in the highlands we hit 27. 2 and we are not expecting temperatures as high as that Today Norfor temperatures as high as that today nor for the rest of august. A5 temperatures as high as that today nor for the rest of august. As we go through the evening and overnight, once again we will have a fair bit of cloud across eastern areas and some clear skies out to the west, still a keen breeze down the North Sea coastline and where The Cloud is broken across parts of Aberdeenshire And Moray, temperature could fall as low as five or 6 degrees and that will be a Shock To The System first thing in the morning if yOu Are up early. Tomorrow, again, a fair bit of cloud, bright across East Anglia and the South East and here it will be breezy as well, but even where we have got The Cloud we should see sunny breaks coming through, but again, for scotland and Northern Ireland, this is where we will see the Lions Share of the sunshine. British citizens in afghanistan are warned to stay away from Kabul Airport amid fears of an imminent Terror Attack. It comes as the Evacuation Effort enters its final days, with thousands still waiting to be airlifted to safety. Covid vaccines are being offered at the reading and Leeds Festivals this weekend, after other major events were linked with thousands of new infections. Theres gold up for grabs with three brits vying for a win in the paralympic pool. Ellie simmonds defends her title against Maisie'>World Champion Maisie Summers Newton, and European Bronze medallist Grace Harvey. Overnight, another plane arrives at Raf Brize Norton in oxfordshire. Our political correspondent lone wells joins us now from westminster. Good morning. The fcc to get evacuated from Kabul Airport. The fco has advised people not to travel to the airport, including to the barren hotel which is the area where officials have been Processing Afghans and bricks trying to get on flights to leave the country. People are being advised to set to a safe location and try the neck being on people trying to get out of the compound. A second issue facing people is Ben Wallace telling Mp5 Yesterday that those who have not yet been contacted about getting on a flight should instead consider making their way to a Land Border. I understand on tuesday to dominate rather, the Foreign Secretary, has said the uk were looking at setting up said the uk were looking at setting up points across borders in places like pakistan to try to evacuate more people through those third countries. The issue with this, the thing that has been raised of the Defence Committee tobias ellwood, is if the taliban do not approve those Land Border points and the message is not communicated to people on the ground, and even more chaotic scenes convince you people start to try to make their way to their borders in their masses as they realise they may not be able to get on flights. All of this is set against the backdrop of time running out because the deadline when us troops are said to withdraw is on tuesday, but in Reality Evacuations need to wrap up a lot sooner because it will take days for us Military Forces to wrap up days for us Military Forces to wrap up their operations, british operations and military and officials want to get out before then. Pen farthing, the founder of the afghanistan Charity Nowzad dogs, has given an update on his attempts to leave the country with his staff and animals. In the last hour, the former Royal Marine has pleaded directly with the taliban on twitter, asking them to allow his team safe passage into Kabul Airport, adding that they have been stuck outside the airport for the last ten hours. Ministers are facing fresh warnings about the effect of removing extra universal credit payments in the autumn. Two Conservative Mp5 have written to the prime Minister, saying that cutting the £20 a Week Uplift risks underMining his Levelling Up agenda. Our political Correspondent Nick eardley reports. The number of people on universal credit has almost doubled during the pandemic to almost six million, and since last March Theyve been getting an extra £20 a week. But that temporary uplift comes to an end in october. Anthony is one of those worried about the impact thatll have. £80 is not a lot for some people. Once ive paid bills ill be left with probably about £60 £60, £70 for the month. That wont do me a months shopping. No chance, evenjust a single person. Charities are warning about the impact, too. Citizens advice surveyed 2,000 people on universal credit, and they think more than a third could be forced into debt when the uplift ends. Here at westminster, a number of mp5 are worried, too. Opposition parties want the extra money to be made permanent and a growing number of conservatives are saying the same. In a letter today, Two Tory Mp5 tell the prime Minister to rethink. Peter aldous and John Stevenson say they are alarmed to see the government unwilling to heed the widespread warnings that are coming from all quarters. They add those who receive the money are most in need of Levelling Up, which the government has made its key mission. Ministers say the extra money was always temporary, and theyre now focused on a plan forjobs. But the pressure is only likely to grow in the coming weeks. Nick eardley, Bbc News, westminster. We will see some sunshine develop later on, especially so in some western areas. Also quite breezy today along the North Sea coastline once again, so it will feel fresher if yOu Are going for a walk along the coast. This Weather Front has been pushing South Westwards through the course of the night, taking more cloud with it but High Pressure is still firmly in charge of our weather. Some folk first thing this morning, especially across Northern Ireland. Patches in wales, south West Scotland, that will all lift. The cloud will start to thin outbreak in western areas, so we should cease and wasnt shy, particularly so in scotland. Temperatures lower for some, especially in sheltered glens. In scotland, around Aberdeenshire And Moray, temperatures falling to five or 6 degrees. Tomorrow we start up with this amount of cloud, still cooler along the North Sea coastline with the onshore breeze, but a sunnier Day Tomorrow in East Anglia and the South East and it will be today. Again, for parts of western scotland, Northern Ireland, a such a view, as well. We hang on to more cloud in western areas tomorrow, compared to today, as well. Into saturday, cole started the day across the board. We will have some sunshine from the word go, still this brisk wind in the far South East and a bit more cloud can begin across the North West at times. We will some clouds develop across southern areas, and with The Show is very close to us from the continent, dont be surprised if a few of those across the English Channel and get into, for example, kent. Temperatures ranging from 13 to 21 degrees. On sunday once again it will be a chilly start to the day but under clear skies we will have a fair bit of sunshine to start with. What at times across northern areas, which you can see with High Pressure still in charge we still have the air moving around it and that breeze coming in from the North Sea will feel quite fresh again along the North Sea coastline with lower temperatures anyway. Temperatures generally we are looking at 13 in the north to about . as we slipped down towards the south. I will have more later. Hello, this is breakfast with Charlie Stayt and naga munchetty. We have taken as many into the hotel as we physically good at the time when the Threat Reporting came as agent as it was, but the reality is that clearly if we are asking people to move away, we are effectively also saying that that reduces our capacity to process people. Now you may well see footage of people who have ignored the advice and remained in the queue, we are desperately trying to protect them by bringing them inside as quickly as we are able to. But that should not encourage people to travel to the airport because. I cannot stress the desperation of the situation enough. The threat is credible, it is imminent, it is lethal. Clearly what happens outside the immediate perimeter is to target, but when you have so few troops on the ground, and when you have got no depth in the city beyond the airport, our ability to go out and find the Threat And Deal with it is very limited indeed, so i fear that this is a judgment to be made on the balance of probabilities between the ability of ios to mount the attack that we have intelligence to say is imminent, versus our desire to get out as many people as possible. I hope you will understand that, given the threats, the last thing we would do is advertise what advice we might profit to those who have moved away to a place of safety, because in advertising it we risk making that alternative provision if we are able to find one that i get in itself. We have been clear all the way through that there will inevitably be the reality that not everybody can be brought out and i think that whilst they personally might feel that, the reality is that we will have done our absolute best militarily. Judgments will then be made i think about the political decision making and the route to being in this situation in the first place, but i want to pay tribute to the royal Air Force particularly for the royal Air Force particularly for the way that they have facilitated the way that they have facilitated the Air Lift over the last few weeks. 12,279 people is over 5000 more than we thought we were going to evacuate from kabul when the mission began. It is an extraordinary effort, but that is no consolation whatsoever to the people who are fearing that they are not going to get out and that is why i say those numbers with no sense of triumph or accomplishment. British citizens in afghanistan are warned to stay away from Kabul Airport amid fears of an imminent Terror Attack. It comes as the Evacuation Effort enters its final days, with thousands still waiting to be airlifted to safety. I Cant Stress the desperation of the situation enough. The threat is credible, it is imminent, it is lethal. We would not be saying this if we were not genuine concerned about offering islamic State Target that is just unimaginable. Its a more common disorder than bulimia and anorexia, well hear how Binge Eating has soared during the pandemic. Covid vaccines are being offered at the reading and Leeds Festivals this weekend, after other major events were linked to thousands of new infections. A last chance to save the summer. The Travel Industry prepares for the latest traffic light reshuffle, a move they say could make or break the summer getaway. Turkey trips could get the Go Ahead but jamaica and St Lucia may soon be Off Limits. Ill explain what you need to know. Three brits are competing for gold in the pool on day two of the paralympics. Defending Champion Ellie simmonds faces challenges from Maisie'>World Champion Maisie Summers Newton, and European Bronze medallist Grace Harvey, both looking to take the crown. Thousands of afghan interpreters and other staff who worked for the uk have reportedly cleared Security Checks, but remain stuck in kabul. Overnight, another plane arrives at Raf Brize Norton in 0xfordshire. Our political correspondent lone wells joins us now from westminster. Good morning. A sobering moment this morning as James Heappey, the armed Minister'>Forces Minister, stressed what he called the desperation of the situation, specifically at the airport in kabul, in amongst this new Terror Threat. Airport in kabul, in amongst this new Terror Threat. Thats right, the timinu new Terror Threat. Thats right, the timin of new Terror Threat. Thats right, the timing of this new Terror Threat. Thats right, the timing of this couldnt new Terror Threat. Thats right, the timing of this couldnt really new Terror Threat. Thats right, the timing of this couldnt really be timing of this couldnt really be worse. We know there are still a lot of people trying to get evacuated from that airport but the foreign Office Advice has changed to advise people to stop travelling to the airport because of this Terror Threat, including travelling to the baron hotel, the area where officials have been Processing Afghans and brits before they board the flights. We got a little bit more information from the Threat Today from the armed Minister'>Forces Minister James Heappey who talked about the intelligence being firmer and there being a credible threat of an imminent attack. He also stressed why they did all they could to provide security for those in the queue come in large numbers of people were still gathering and not following that advice. Here is what he tells this programme earlier about what exactly this threat is. Over the course of the week, the credibility of the reporting has reached the stage where we believe that there is a very imminent, highly lethal attack possible within kabul and, as a consequence, we have had to change the Travel Advice to advise people not to come to the airport indeed to move away from the airport, find a place of safety and await further instructions. Of course, even if this Terror Threat does subside, the window to evacuate people is closing because us troops are withdrawing from tuesday but obviously in a reality, evacuations need to stop even sooner than that because the us need time to evacuate their own troops. British officials and troops need time to close down their operations so we are now into the final hours of the Evacuation Process from the airport as we know it which is why the attention is now shifting towards the possible use of Land Borders with the Defence Secretary Ben Wallace telling Mps Yesterday that those who had not been contacted about boarding flights should start considering whether they should be making their way to some of those Land Borders. Thank ou ve some of those Land Borders. Thank you very much some of those Land Borders. Thank you very much for some of those Land Borders. Thank you very much for the some of those Land Borders. Thank you very much for the moment. I pen farthing, the founder of the afghanistan Charity Nowzad dogs, has given an update on his attempts to leave the country with his staff and animals. In the last hour, the former Royal Marine has pleaded directly with the taliban on twitter, asking them to allow his team safe passage into Kabul Airport, adding that they have been stuck outside the airport for the last ten hours. Covid vaccines are being offered at the reading and Leeds Festivals this weekend, in an effort to increase take up in young adults. Pop up clinics will be open at both events, but health officials said people under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be given a jab. Its after two other festivals were linked to a surge in cases in recent weeks. The organiser of Leeds Festival told breakfast about the safety measures in place at the event. What we will have is have Tested every single person coming in. Actually, it will be one of the few weekends of any year where young teenagers in particular are out partying in parks, in open spaces, in pubs, in bars, in peoples houses where they know that, actually, every single person around them is also Tested. And so my view is that actually its a good place. The summer holidays might be coming to an end but the Travel Industry is hoping it can still recoup some of its losses with bookings for Winter Sun trips. That could all depend on what happens to the Traffic Light System weve all got used to. The travel companies are looking for some clarity, we have the green, amber and red system in place, updated every three weeks . Yes. Amber and red system in place, updated every three weeks . Yes, they call this one the last throw updated every three weeks . Yes, they call this one the last throw of updated every three weeks . Yes, they call this one the last throw of the call this one the last throw of the dice to try and save some, are hoping to get people away before the summer ends. Lots riding on this latest reshuffle with Holiday Makers and the Travel Industry waiting to see which countries are red, amber or green. And for many of us, this is as close as well get to a beach this year. Lots of us opting to holiday closer to home to avoid tests and restrictions. Staycations are booming, and so is the price, but what are the chances of a foreign trip any time soon . We know by now, that depends on this the Traffic Light System. Red destinations are a No Go for holidays. Uk nationals coming back from these places have to cough up thousands of pounds to quarantine in an approved hotel. No matter what list our government puts those countries on. So travel as normal still clearly a long way off. Is any Winter Sun likely this year . The Travel Industry is certainly hoping for some more good news, and above all for there to be more certainty and less of a chance that you might suddenly find yourself having to race back from somewhere, as we saw three weeks ago from mexico. So, yes, they are hoping for a buoyant Autumn And Winter, but its certainly not going to make up for missing summer. Lets speak to zoe harris, the chief Customer Officer at on the beach which stopped selling holidays for this summer but is reopening sales next month. Affecting today . We welcome i anything that gives us a sustained return to travel, i think the real challenge, as you talked about, is the uncertainty there has been through july the uncertainty there has been throuthuly and the uncertainty there has been through july and august which the uncertainty there has been throuthuly and august which is why we did stop selling holidays for those months where we could not sure that the customers would get the holiday they booked without some sort of disruption. We are hoping for is implication of the Traffic Light System, now that those are changing, we hope that the holidays will be going ahead as planned in future. The rates of the testing required has reduced, the companies providing those tests are able to do so, albeit with the Government Regulation around that. We think that now is the time for customers to think about going On Holiday, given that they know the boundaries around these holiday. I given that they know the boundaries around these holiday. Given that they know the boundaries around these holiday. I want to come on the customer around these holiday. I want to come on the customer attitudes around these holiday. I want to come on the customer attitudes and around these holiday. I want to come on the customer attitudes and a on the customer attitudes and a second. Given that you stop selling holidays, do you regret that decision . People have been able to go away, its a bit more complicated, there is more cost associated with it, is it a bit of a drastic move to stop selling holidays altogether . Drastic move to stop selling holidays altogether . Drastic move to stop selling holida s alto. Ether . , holidays altogether . There has been so much change holidays altogether . There has been so much change to holidays altogether . There has been so much change to holidays, holidays altogether . There has been so much change to holidays, people| so much change to holidays, people were having to race back from portugal in the summer, holidays being cancelled, and that causes quite a lot of stress for customers and you cannot really plan ahead. Our attitude was that it was right for the business because we are thinking about the customers and our reputation and the relationship with those people who choose to go On Holiday with us over the long term so we really hope that for us, it has been the right thing to do and those customers and certainly the response we have had is that they welcomed having someone who was putting them first rather than the short Term Gain and a bit of a profit from a few free holidays sold. The reality is what many customers were booking holidays in july and august. Whatever changes today, not many customers were booking holidays injuly and august. The industry are describing this as the last Roll Of The Dice to get success out of the summer, people get more used to the rules and what they have to do when they go and come back, what are people at are they booking . Yes, it could all change again theres been a significant rise in the number of people requesting help for Binge Eating disorder over the past three years, according to the Charity Beat. Bed is classed a a serious Mental Illness where people eat large quantities of food without feeling like theyre in control of what theyre doing. And the only way to kind of get rid of that feeling whatever that is is to binge and to eat until Ijust Cant feel it any more. No. Its not a get home at The End of the day and enjoy something. Lauren tells me she hides evidence of binges. Good morning, charlie and naga, and good morning to all of you. This morning there is cloud around, Mist And Fog and some of that will break and fog and some of that will break and some of us will see some sunshine. Some of us already have some sunshine. The Satellite Picture shows the broken cloud in the central strait of england, Northern Ireland seeing some breaks and scotland. This line of cloud is a Weather Front which will move to the South West and continue to break out. All of this cloud is coming in from the North Sea. That will be with us through the day, some will be thick enough for some drizzle, but some of it will break. The North Sea coastline will always feel colder because we have a brisk breeze, and here as well temperatures are a little lower. Still cloud floating around the channel isles this afternoon and the isles of scilly, southern areas have areas of cloud but still some sunshine. Out towards the west, we will see the Lions Share of the sunshine. Along the east coast we will have a cool breeze and more cloud. Temperature lower here. Further west, cloud. Temperature lower here. Furtherwest, highs cloud. Temperature lower here. Further west, highs up to 21 or 22. Yesterday was the warmest day of this august so far, and its likely to remain so in the last few days because it is not going to be as warm as the resort yesterday. That will feel fall away to five or six. That would feel chilly if you head out but most of us will have double figures as the overnight low. A brisk breeze on the North Sea again tomorrow, a more sunny day in the East Anglia and the South East, more cloud pushing towards the west but we will see some breaks in that and sunny spells. Sunshine across Northern Ireland and scotland, temperatures of 14 to 20 degrees. Into saturday, a chilly start to the day, dry weather and a fair bit of sunshine. The wind arrows are on indicating a brisk wind once again indicating a brisk wind once again in the South East and areas of cloud across the north and the west and southern areas. With these showers not too far away in the near continent, there is a chance they could clip kent as they go through the day. That will be the exception rather than the rule. A result, top temperatures 21 or 22. I will have more later. Hello, this is breakfast with Charlie Stayt and naga munchetty. Lets bring you right up to day with developments in afghanistan. Credible, imminent and lethal thats the assessment of the armed Minister'>Forces MinisterJames Heappey on the threat of a Terror Attack in kabul. He was talking to us just one hour ago. As a result the Foreign Office has issued updated advice to stay away from the airport and go to a place of safety instead. So where does that leave the evacuation of Uk Nationals and afghans who have been working with british forces . Our afghanistan Correspondent Secunder Kermani joins us now from kabul. Good to see you. It was very stark, the picture that was painted by the Minister who spoke on this programme earlier in terms of what safety can be guaranteed for those who have not already been processed in that hotel where the processing takes place. Some of them with permission but still unable to make their way through The Cloud. This kind of information about this possible threat which many suspect emanates from the islamic state group, which is far less powerful than that taliban but does have a presence here in afghanistan and has carried out some truly devastating attacks in the past, information about that attack is not going to filter down to those people on the ground there. They are so desperate they dont even know what documentation they need to bring, what is the processes. I have seen people standing outside the evacuated western embassies where there are no diplomatic staff writing their names on pieces of paper, handing them to the taliban thinking that the taliban weather and then into these embassies and they will be processed for visas. There is no staff in those embassies. That is the level of confusion we are talking about amongst ordinary people here. They certainly i dont think would be aware. Although people generally of course are aware of the threat from iis course are aware of the threat from 115 because they have carried out these attacks in the past so people will be aware that, yes, it is a possibility but really the priority by the people i have been speaking to trying to make their way to the airport is getting out of the Country And Something like this i think is unlikely to deter them. What we have also seen its western countries using convoys at times, going inside capitol city, taliban controlled city, to bring some of their citizens out. We have heard of helicopters flying in and taking some of the most vulnerable people out. We have heard and seen reports of officials arranging convoys that are escorted by the taliban into the point. Perhaps we will see more of this if that threat is deemed to continue in the coming days. Real concerns about how these last few days of the Evacuation Effort will go and we are very much in the last days of it. One source was telling me that after tomorrow they think the us are going to pivot freely took moving their own troops own resources out, rather there those american citizens, western citizens, those who are eligible for relocation because they have thousands of their own troops that they need to bring out all by the sist they need to bring out all by the 31st Of August. Secunder kermani, our afghanistan correspondent, Thank You, stay safe. Werejoined now from dubai by colonel Richard Kemp, former commander of british forces in afghanistan. Good morning. Iassume good morning. I assume you have heard armed Minister'>Forces Minister atJames Heappey in our programme this morning, talking about credible and lethal Threat Assessment in and around Kabul Airport on top of what is already chaotic and logistically difficult operation. What is your analysis of the impact of this latest twist on getting people out . I think that threat of Terrorist Attack, whether it is from talybont, the islamic state or alanda, and can equally be all three of those groups, the fact that people are talking a lot about it doesnt make it the most likely threat but that threat has existed right the way from when this evacuation began. I have no doubt our forces are fully aware of the threat and four days have been taking measures to try to mitigate it, to prevent something like that happening. Clearly there could be a Terrorist Attack of some sort against what is the airport or outside the airport with people trying to get in. I think it is a very realistic thing and even if it doesnt come from a group like alqaeda or the islamic state, it would equally come from the taliban who are not necessarily under the control of their leadership in many cases. And in any case, the fact that the taliban leadership have kind of given us a safe passage to get people out until the 315t, i would not rely particularly on that. Obviously it has to be planned for, but i dont think our troops will be depending on the taliban keeping that word. ~. , depending on the taliban keeping that word. ,. ,. That word. I think it would be wrong to second exactly what dates these events are going to happen on but it cant be very much longer that we are able to evacuate civilians, no matter how deserving, help needing they are because one thing that is essential is that all western Military Forces must get out by the time that the Evacuation Operation finishes. England go into day two of the third test against india at headingley in a commanding position. India chose to Bat Yesterday and were remarkably bowled out for just 78 runs. Once Againjimmy Anderson was the man to lead the charge for england. Taking two early wickets including one in the first over before getting captain Virat Kohli forjust seven. Craig overton also took three wickets as india fell forjust 78. And if you thought the bowling was good, Take A Look at the batting. Openers Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed both reached their half centuries as england finished the day on 120 without loss. The Way Everyone bowled today and the way we fielded, i thought was brilliant. And then leading on into our batting, as well, i thought the two guys who batted there were outstanding. So, yeah, were just delighted that things came off for us, you know. Weve had plans throughout this series. I think weve bowled pretty well throughout the series and at times things dont go your way, but when things do go your way youve got to make the most of it, and we did that today. Some sad news to bring you now. The former England Captain and chairman of selectors ted dexter has died at the age of 86. Nicknamed lord ted, dexter played 62 tests for england and was captain in the early 605. He was renowned for the power with which he hit the ball. Arguably this was his most famous innings against the west indies at lords in 1963 when he came in at 0 1 and smashed 70 off 73 deliveries. He was later named president of the Marylbone Cricket Club and was awarded a cbe in 2001. Arsenal helped themselves to their first win of the season with a 6 0 thumping over a young West Brom Side in the second round of the carabao cup. Captain Pierre Emerick Aubameyang scored a Hat Trick in his first start of the season, with the other goals from bukayo saka, Nicolas Pepe and Alexandre Lacazette to seal a comfortable progression for arsenal into the third round. Celtic and rangers both have League-play'>Europa League Play offs later. Celtic take a 2 0 lead to Az Alkmaar while rangers are 1 0 up against alashkert after last weeks first legs. However, rangers have had to travel to armenia without Manager Steven Gerrard and a number of players because of a covid outbreak in the squad. Assistant gary mcallister and coach Michael Beale will lead the team later, and its unclear if gerrard or the unspecified missing players will be able to return in time for sundays match against celtic at ibrox. Celtic and rangers are level on points in the League so the first old Firm Game of the seas will be crucial. More than it usually is. It crucial. More than it usually is.
