New research suggests that the protection given by two doses of the Pfizer And Astrazeneca covid vaccines starts to wear off within six months. And its a golden start in tokyo for Paralympics Gb as Cyclist Dame Storey takes the 15th gold of her career in her eighth games a public consultation is getting under way to ask if beavers should be re introduced to englands rivers once widespread in britain they were hunted to extinction 400 years ago. Hello and welcome if youre watching in the uk or Around The World. President biden has rejected british calls to extend the united States Airlift from afghanistan beyond The 31st Of August saying it would be too dangerous. In a televised address from the White House Last Night, President Biden said each day of operations brings added risk to our troops of an attack by extremists linked to the islamic State Group. Some us soldiers have already started to leave as the Rescue Effort enters its final phase. So far, 70,700 People have been evacuated from Kabul Airport as the Rescue Operation picks up pace. Here, the Foreign Secretary has declined to comment on reports that Raf Rescue flights could stop within 48 hours. There remain fears that thosands of afghans who wish to flee the Taliban may be Left Behind. The first of our reports is from Nomia Iqbal in washington. Up to 6,000 us troops are on the ground In Kabul trying to help thousands of People leave afghanistan. More than 7,000 miles away, their Commander In Chief stuck to his plan. The sooner we can finish, the better. Each day of operations brings added risk to our troops. But the completion by August 31st depends upon the Taliban continuing to cooperate and allow access to the airport for those who are transporting out, and no disruptions to our operations. President biden rejected pleas from other g7 nations to extend the deadline for the evacuation mission. Without the power of the us military, the uk has admitted it would not have the ability to stay. However, prime minister boris johnson, who chaired the meeting, says the leaders agreed a Road Map for engaging with the Taliban. The Number One condition were setting, as 67, is that they have got to guarantee, right the way through through august the slst and beyond Safe Passage for those who want to come out. But this poses a risk. It is the Taliban who ultimately is deciding this deadline, because the group says the us and allied forces have to leave by The End of the Month Or Face consequences. The biden administration is confident it can make the deadline and that whoever wants to leave will be able to. Since august the 14th, he says, more than 70,000 People, including afghan allies, have been flown out of harms way. The us has already begun to leave and, as hundreds of soldiers fly back home, the numbers of desperate People arriving at Kabul Airport keeps increasing. Just under a week is all they have to get out, as the Taliban tightens its grip on afghanistan. Nomia iqbal, Bbc News, washington. Joining us now is our Cbs Correspondent Bradley Blackburni whats the reaction been to biden s decision to not extend the deadline . There is a lot of pressure on the president to change course and extend the deadline. It is coming notjust extend the deadline. It is coming not just from extend the deadline. It is coming notjust from his political opponents but from within his party. A democratic congressman said it is unlikely that the evacuation can be completed by next week. Republicans are sharply critical and accused the president of capitulating to a Taliban edict. The president has said he is taking to the plan but is leaving room in his statement saying he has asked for Contingency Plans beyond the deadline. fix, he has asked for Contingency Plans beyond the deadline. A, lot he has asked for Contingency Plans beyond the deadline. Beyond the deadline. A lot of olitical beyond the deadline. A lot of political pressure beyond the deadline. A majority of americans say they disapprove of President Biden s handling of the withdrawal from afghanistan and most are also concerned that with the Taliban back in control, the Terrorism Threat to the us will increase. , ~ ,. ,. Lets listen a bit more of President Biden s address Last Night where he detailed the potential threat to the us and allied forces. The longer we stay, starting with the acute and growing risk of an attack by a Terrorist Group known as Isis K, and Isis Affiliated in afghanistan which is a sworn enemy of the Taliban as well, every day we are on the ground is another day we know that Isis K is seeking to target the Airport And Attack both us and allied forces and innocent civilians. Lets talk to our security correspondent, Frank Gardner. Who are Isis K . This is the afghanistan who are Isis K . This is the Afghanistan Branch who are Isis K . This is the Afghanistan Branch or who are Isis K . This is the. Afghanistan Branch Or Affiliate who are Isis K . This is the Afghanistan Branch or affiliate of islamic State Group isis. Which was defeated in syria two years ago who is after losing its self proclaimed caliphate. They are not very many, but as president Joe Biden said they are a sworn enemy of the Taliban-and-alqaeda'>Taliban And Alqaeda and they are present in afghanistan and it is clear that the us picked up Threat Reporting that isis were planning to carry out an attack at the airport. You can imagine and all that confusing crowd of People that it would not be very difficult for someone to get a Suicide Bomber in there. That is what isis has threatened that they are looking to do to try and disrupt operations. They have not been specific about why, but they feed on chaos, they are rivals of the Taliban, the arrivals of alanda, they have not cheered the Taliban takeover and they are looking to recruit People to their post to make life possible for life impossible for a Taliban rule. It is a miracle that there has not been a disruption of that sort to the evacuation operation. There are two threats to the evacuation, that is the most immediate one, an attacker, a Suicide Bomber, a Truck Bomb or a mortar onto the runway, and the other is that if the us were to decide to stay on after august the sist, decide to stay on after August The 31st, without Taliban compliance, then you are into a whole new risky game that the Taliban have said they will be consequences and that could cover anything from Turning A Blind Eye and possibly launching a missile at a aeroplane. No one wants to take that risk. I at a aeroplane. No one wants to take that risk. ,. ,. ,. , that risk. I was told earlier that as we move that risk. I was told earlier that as we move towards that risk. I was told earlier that as we move towards the that risk. I was told earlier that l as we move towards the deadline that risk. I was told earlier that as we move towards the deadline if it is The 31st Of August, that the Security Risk increases. That would be your assessment as well . It has been increasing be your assessment as well . It has been increasing every be your assessment as well . It has been increasing every day be your assessment as well . It i s been increasing every day because each day that goes by gives isis more time to plan some kind of attack which is why the Taliban partly why they have been cracking down on security. Thats a whole operation does not look good for them in the first place, Tens Thousands of educated professional essential afghan workers streaming out of the country, showing by their actions that they do not want to live under a Taliban rule, that is not good optics for them, so they are not encouraging that but they are not encouraging that but they are also worried that if isis can smuggle an attacker into the crowds on the approach to the airport, that makes them look weak. They are in charge of security, the person in charge of security, the person in charge of security was formerly part of a proscribed terrorist network, and he is in charge of security In Kabul. They will want to make sure that nothing like that happens. In that nothing like that happens. In that sense, both the us and the Taliban are on the same page. It is incredible how well they have cooperated given up to ten days ago they were fighting Each Other with they were fighting Each Other with the us carrying out Air Strikes trying to destroy advancing Taliban forces. , ~ ,. , trying to destroy advancing Taliban forces. , ~ ,. ,. With me now is sir Nicholas Kay, who was the natos Senior Civilian Representative To Afghanistan for a year to may 2020, and also the uks ambassador In Kabul between 2017 and 2018. Thank you forjoining me today. You say it is mathematically impossible to get even those who are entitled to get even those who are entitled to leave afghanistan under various schemes out within this deadline. Certainly the Uk Government has recognised that. People will be Left Behind. Let alone those People who are still trying to get their paperwork, their permits processed. What scope as they are, do you believe, for any discussions between now and next tuesday that could lead to an extension of the deadline . President biden s Statement Yesterday suggest that the opportunity to extend the deadline has realistically gone though noting he as ask for Contingency Plans if it is necessary to extend. Maybe there is Wiggle Room. The focus now needs to be to engage with the Taliban to agree an extended programme, notan Taliban to agree an extended programme, not an extended deadline for troops to be present at the airport, but an extended programme for relocating afghans who have the right to decide where they want to live and where they want to go. And afghans who have been accepted by other countries to go to them. We should have a properly organised and manage programme and that requires joint work on this particular issue with the Taliban. With the Taliban. There is an opportunity with the Taliban. There is an opportunity for with the Taliban. There is an opportunity for both with the Taliban. There is an opportunity for both sides, i with the Taliban. There is an i opportunity for both sides, the Taliban and western governments to potentially get what they want at this point. Taliban positions are hardening in the Security Risks as well. We need to see that in the bigger picture. It is notjust the Human Drama of Kabul Airport. This will also shape and determine the attitudes for months if not years to come for the relationship with international partners and countries. How the Taliban managed s and how we manage this with the Taliban will be important for setting the tone. It is not the humanitarian crisis, winter is looming, a month before the snow comes. It was reported yesterday that there is only one week of Emergency Food in the country, who cannot an emergency medicine, half of the population rely on humanitarian aid. There is urgent need for us as an international community to work out the humanitarian Assistance Plan and that will also need cooperation with the Taliban, not funding them, not recognising them, but working with the authorities for the benefit of the authorities for the benefit of the afghan People. find the authorities for the benefit of the afghan People. First of all, it will allow us to monitor what is going on. It will allow us to influence as much as we can. To work with international partners who are there on the ground, un agencies as well. I hope this is a time in which well. Thank you very much, the former british reality. Thank you very much, the former british ambassador reality. Thank you very much, the former british ambassador to former british ambassador To Afghanistan and senior representative of nato in afghanistan. Earlier i asked our political correspondent, helen catt, what the impact the us decision to stick to its August 31st deadline would have on the british evacuation effort. Of course, borisjohnson asked for that extension yesterday, he did not get it and so now he is clear that August The 31st is when foreign troops will need to leave afghanistan. So the question being asked this morning is what that means in terms of timing, for how long those Evacuation Flights continue . We know the military will need some time to pack up and Evacuation Flights. And it will need to stop before then. Currently, the question is how much. There has been some Paper Speculation that that could be within the next 24 to 36 hours, that the last flights left. That has been dismissed by the Ministry Of Defence as speculation. The Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab earlier said that Military Planners were working on how quickly they could reduce that time to packing up in terms of getting more People out. This is what he said. What we have aimed at doing, having got the capacity to get People out, in the last 24 hours to 2000. We want tojust keep using every Hour And Day that weve got left to push through the outstanding cases of british nationals, afghans who have worked for us but also those high vulnerability cases, if we can. We have seen achieving scholars back on those flights, journalists, we want to, as well as womens rights defenders, and so we will keep doing everything we can and whether that remaining window that we have left. When do you think remaining british troops will actually leave . We need to get that clear from the Military Planners that are working on that. Ideally we limit the period that they need, that they draw down, to maximise the period for the civilian air lift, if you like, so that is something that they will need to be able to provide the details of. And helen, this was a first chance to hearfrom Dominic Raab since that holiday in crete where he was when the Taliban entered kabul. He was asked about hindsight and if he had any regrets about that, wasnt he . Yes, Dominic Raab has come under a lot of fire for having been in crete on holiday with his family during the week that kabul fell. There are a couple of very specific incidents that were raised, this first idea that officials had asked him to come home On Friday and that he had said that he had agreed and said he would come home on the sunday. He said that he was not asked by his officials to do that, when he was speaking to the bbc. There was also a suggestion that he had been asked to make a particular Phone Call to the then afghan Foreign Minister on the friday. He had delegated that to another minister, and it later emerged that the call was not made at all. That was put to Mr Raab earlier. The hindsight is the luxury of commentators, not politicians, but to address the points squarely, the afghan Foreign Minister, there was an opportunity for a call it is quite right in an Emergency Situation that are used the british Ministerial Team but i do to delegate, and focus on the Number One priority which the advice to me was clear, stabilise the airport and get the staff in on the ground to process the claims. But the minister of state, just let me answer the question. Butjust to interrupt, you said you delegate, but that call was never made, so you may have delegated, but it didnt happen. The reason it didnt happen, it shows you why it was not the Number One priority because the request came in late, the suggestion that the recommendation came in late, Friday Evening, afghan time, by that point and certainly by the saturday, control was ebbing In Kabul and the afghan Foreign Minister had left by sunday, so the idea that in the interim period we would be able to do any meaningful business or effected any change just nonsense. This clearly wouldnt have happened. There was not anything lost by doing that and the focus that we had was rightly at the time, securing the airport, increasing the capacity, and as a result, since that point in time that youre referring to, we got 9000 People out, so i think that demonstrates it was the right priority for me and the government. So the immediate focus again for the next few days is going to be on how many People on those flights will get out of afghanistan. We also heard from Borisjohnson Yesterday after he chaired the meeting of g7 leaders. He suggested they had a Road Map for dealing with the Taliban going forward, for trying to exert some sort of influence on the Taliban in future months and years. Dominic raab again earlier was talking about that suggesting that it could mean that using the levers of the g7, the levers they have, for example foreign aid, if afghanistan wants to receive money in foreign aid, then the Taliban will have to stick to some of the international obligations that it has signed up to. Borisjohnson said that the top one of those was going to be allowing People Safe Passage out of the country. And even beyond The 31st Of August, so i think there will be some real close attention paid to what is happening on the ground to do with that over the coming days. And, if you want to get on touch with us, you can do that on twitter. The headlines on Bbc News. With thousands still desperate to flee afghanistan President Biden refuses to extend the deadline for us withdrawal New Research suggests the protection given by two doses of the Pfizer And Astrazeneca covid vaccines starts to wear off in six months and its golden start in tokyo for Paralympics Gb as Cyclist Dame Sarah storey takes the 15th gold of her career, at her eighth games New Research suggests that the protection given by two doses of the Pfizer And Astrazeneca coronavirus vaccines starts to wear off within six months. The latest analysis by the Zoe Covid study looked at more than A Million positive Test Results between may and july. Our health correspondent, sophie hutchinson, reports. Just how long vaccines offer protection and whether we need boosters is a crucial question ahead of the winter. Todays study adds to growing evidence that, over time, covid vaccines become less effective at stopping infections. It examined 1. 2 Million positive Test Results between may and july this year and found that protection from the Pfizer Vaccine seemed to reduce from 88 to 74 over 5 6 months, and astrazeneca from 77 to 67 over 4 5 months. Importantly, this is about preventing a covid infection. Hospital figures suggest that both vaccines have continued to protect against severe illness in many People. Public Health England estimates that nearly 85,000 deaths have been prevented as a result of the covid 19 Vaccination Programme in england so far. However, the study s Lead Investigator said Vaccine Efficacy could drop to 50 by the winter, and boosters would be needed. It is bringing into focus this need for some action. We cantjust sit by and see the protectiveness slowly waning whilst cases are still high and the chance of infection still high, as well. The government has said there will be boosterjabs sometime in september, starting with those most at risk of severe covid 19. Sophie hutchinson, Bbc News. Im joined now by adam finn, a professor of paediatrics at the university of Bristol And Member of Thejoint Committee on vaccination and immunisation. Clearly the protection of the vaccine does wane over time and the question is if it is leading to a significant increase to the number of People getting seriously ill from covid 19 are ending up in hospital . I think the answer to the final question that you post is that all the evidence points to good sustain protection against hospitalisation at the moment but we have to watch that very carefully during the current wave and see if there are any signs that People who receive the vaccine is airless, the elderly and Health Care workers, are beginning to lose their protection against illness. It is difficult to comment on the report, it has been widely reported in the media but we have not seen a Paper Or Preprint on the Data, but there are other studies that are showing the protection against mild infection or a symptomatic infection is waning with time so the real question is whether that translates into a loss of protection against serious illness and that is what we are looking out for at the moment. In terms of timing, are there any precedents that are useful in this instance to suggest at what point we should be looking out for, as a Danger Period for Protection Weaning significantly . It is Danger Period for Protection Weaning sianificantl . ,. Significantly . It is a Difficult Question significantly . It is a Difficult Question. We significantly . It is a Difficult Question. We have significantly . It is a difficult i question. We have experience significantly . It is a Difficult Question. We have experience with other vaccines and other infections. We have concerns about this virus and the winter, the potential seasonality, that affects timing, and there are massive logistical questions as well. We do have to have supplies of the right vaccines at the right time that are not time expired and the capacity within the nhs to deliver boosters if they are needed. At the same time as all the other Catch Up Work that the nhs has to do. Lots of different aspects that play into this. It need to avoid giving vaccines to People who do not need them while making sure that we do vaccinate People who do. Sorry to interrupt, on that note, a couple seen the Data. Sorry to interrupt, on that note, a couple of seen the Data. Sorry to interrupt, i on that note, a couple of questions that viewers have sent us. I am trying to summarise. A number of People have asked broadly similar questions. If there is a Booster Programme, a message from a person who has had an Organ Transplant recently and another person who is immunosuppressed asking when it Booster Programme might begin and how often might this be needed if a decision is made that that is the right way to go . For decision is made that that is the right way to go . Decision is made that that is the right way to go . For the People who have come in right way to go . For the People who have come in with right way to go . For the People who have come in with you right way to go . For the People who have come in with you who right way to go . For the People who have come in with you who are have come in with you who are immunosuppressed, we really need to focus on that group, we have had a very important set of Data from a study this week, the expectation is that there will be People who need it third dose, not a booster, but a third dose to get the protection up because their capacity to make responses are less good. I would expect decisions on that need to come through very quickly. I think its a little different from deciding on a boosterfor the healthy population. We are looking for People who have been protected by the protection is winning away and we need to boost that back up again in time for the winter waves. Those are two separate things but they are very much on the agenda and being discussed right now. find being discussed right now. And eole being discussed right now. And People with being discussed right now. And People with asthma, i have had two People with asthma, i have had two People in touch asking whether they would be included in any Booster Programme if that is decided what is needed or like the People you were talking about, with the need is a third dose as opposed to a Booster Vaccination . Vaccination . There are People who are severe vaccination . There are People who are severe Asthma Vaccination . There are People who are severe asthma who vaccination . There are People who are severe asthma who are are severe asthma who are immunosuppressed because their Asthma Treatment dampens down their immune system. They fall into the category of high risk People. Happily, though, asthma, despite the fact we had serious fears this would not be the case, it has not been turned out to be a severe Risk Factor for severe covid 19, in adults or children, and there are large numbers of People affected by asthma in the population so it is very good news that asthmatics are not a group who end up in Hospital Or Dying of covid 19 more than other People. Some asthmatics, yes, but all asthmatics, no. All asthmatics, no. Another person asked if the all asthmatics, no. Another person asked if the booster all asthmatics, no. Another person asked if the booster would all asthmatics, no. Another person asked if the booster would need i all asthmatics, no. Another person asked if the booster would need to j asked if the booster would need to be the same as the original vaccine . If you had pfizer, you would need a pfizer booster. Is there any evidence on the ongoing level of protection offered by immunity on those who have had the infection . Good questions. We have important studies about your Report Led by southampton where we are looking at different doses and different vaccines given different boosters primed with astrazeneca and pfizer, we will have indications for what vaccines would be given when the programme goes forward. Im sorry, i have forgotten the second question. Let me see, does the booster does need to be the same as the original vaccine . And the other question was natural immunity, is there any evidence of the level of protection offered by natural immunity in those who have had the infection . Aha, offered by natural immunity in those who have had the infection . B, 11th offered by natural immunity in those who have had the infection . Who have had the infection . A lot of eole who have had the infection . A lot of People have who have had the infection . A lot of People have had who have had the infection . A lot of People have had covid19, who have had the infection . A lot of People have had covid19, and who have had the infection . A lot of People have had covid19, and havej People have had covid 19, and have immunity as a result. We know that People who have had covid 19 and then got vaccinated get a stronger response to the vaccination. We suspect People who get covid 19 after getting vaccinated get a boost to their immunity. Infection is playing a role in developing the Population Immunity that we are getting at is protecting us against his pandemic. The important thing is to get the vaccine if you have not been vaccinated either way. We have a coule been vaccinated either way. We have a couple more been vaccinated either way. We have a couple more questions. Been vaccinated either way. We have a couple more questions. We been vaccinated either way. We have a couple more questions. We have. Been vaccinated either way. We have a couple more questions. We have a | a couple more questions. We have a question, i had myocarditis and he had a reaction to the second Icer Vaccination which meant he ended up in a e. Should you still have a Booster Or Switch to another vaccine . Another person said he is concerned about his mum who is 72 and has had both vaccinations but is awaiting open Heart Surgery. He is worried that she is in a risky situation as a result. So the Myocarditis Risk in males after the second dose is a concern we are looking at very carefully and it is influencing decision making, specifically in the very young with the risk of serious diseases is much lower. At this point, we are not making any recommendations about boosters, but i think it is likely that there will be specific advice of People who have had a Side Effect like that. If it comes to having a booster, banners, and that is likely to be a different vaccine, but i cannot be specific at this point. Regarding your call ups mum, the year old, having surgery, that of its self does not put her of a high risk, if she has had the two doses, that means she is well protected, almost certainly, and again, recommendations will come through full boosters for high risk groups in due course, but what from what i have heard from that case, 72 years with Heart Surgery waiting, she is unlikely to be high risk. Thank you very much for answering those questions from our callers, lots of interest in this study as we head towards autumn and winter. Thank you very much for your time and those answers. Thank you very much for sending those questions to you at home, i hope we have managed to cover in general terms most of the questions, the areas of questioning that you are interested in as well as a couple of very specific ones as well. That means the Military Planners will have to work backwards from that to work out what is the last date, but is not very far away, that civilian evacuation can continue, before their priority has to continue to moving switch to moving Military Personnel and the equipment. The equipment they have got was thrown in just in the last two or three weeks, moving that will be relatively straightforward, but it will take time. I think what we are going to see is continuing the evacuation of civilians, entitled People, for the next two or three days, and the aspect of that. And the military will then have to focus on extracting themselves to be gone ljy on extracting themselves to be gone by The 31st Of August. Tiara on extracting themselves to be gone by The 31st Of August. By The 31st Of August. Two or three da s by The 31st Of August. Two or three days more. By The 31st Of August. Two or three days more. You by The 31st Of August. Two or three days more, you think by The 31st Of August. Two or three days more, you think is by The 31st Of August. Two or three days more, you think is the by The 31st Of August. Two or three days more, you think is the cutoff days more, you think is the Cut Off point realistically for getting out civilians . Everyone i have spoken to today has agreed that the closer we get to the deadline, we know the Security Situation is already very tricky at the airport, that Risk Increases and present biden of course is exciting that risk from Isis K, the afghan affiliate, for not extending the deadline, is a key reason. How real is that risk of attack . ,. , attack . Clearly, intelligence has informed the attack . Clearly, intelligence has informed the President Attack . Clearly, intelligence has informed the President Biden i attack . Clearly, intelligence has i informed the President Biden that there is increased risk, which i think is right. The Taliban itself is not an entirely homogenous organisation, so you have disparate lament of the Taliban that might decide to act on an independent basis, and there are lots of other Terror Groups as well, such as islamic ok, that President Biden has referred to with this, that lends itself to the importance of getting to the final minute of this withdrawal rate. Withdrawal is one of the most complicated Military Removals procedures, when you have to reduce your forces to the minimum and then get the lost People out at the last safe moment. Isis k. We really hope that this is in a Design Situation and that this does not get to where the last few hundred troops are having to hold the airfield in a contested fashion in the last few aircraft, heaven forbid, are flying away under fire, i hope that does not happen, the expectation is that that will not happen, but withdrawals are much more complicated, sometimes, then it seems. . More complicated, sometimes, then it seems. ~. , , more complicated, sometimes, then it seems. ~. ,. , more complicated, sometimes, then it seems. ,. , seems. And what happens to those Left Behind in seems. And what happens to those Left Behind in terms seems. And what happens to those Left Behind in terms of seems. And what happens to those Left Behind in terms of getting seems. And what happens to those | Left Behind in terms of getting them out in terms of extraction and i guess there is a risk, that has to be recognised, that not everyone who is supposed to get out, and are talking about the military themselves, who can get out by the sist, themselves, who can get out by the 31st, wejust themselves, who can get out by the 31st, we just do themselves, who can get out by the 31st, wejust do not themselves, who can get out by the 31st, we just do not know what is going to happen with that situation. Nicholas kay, former ambassador To Afghanistan, talking to me a little earlier, saying that the international community now needs to be humble and modest in thinking about the level of influence it has. Do you think it will be exceptionally difficult to get People out beyond the 31st . I think that is why the People out beyond the 31st . I think that is why the g7 People out beyond the 31st . I think that is why the G7 Meeting that is why the G7 Meeting that borisjohnson had yesterday, that the members of the G7 Act together. I think the Notion Of Being Humble is correct, we really do not have much leverage at all, as far as the g7 and the west is concerned with the Taliban, and they In Kabul, and right across afghanistan, holder says elite the majority of the cards, if not all. Hold all of the cards. If not the majority. What happens to those to get out but have not been able to do so by the 31st is a very Open Question. This is where the Contact Group of the g7 with the Taliban is very important, but at The End of the day, it will be the Talibans-willingness'>Talibans Willingness to allow more of its citizen to leave the country and the method by which that might happen. I think lots of People are straining to work out how this might indeed be the case. It is not entirely clear, which is why in the remaining few days of this, maximum effort needs to be exerted to get the maximum number of entitled People out, because those afghans that have worked for us over the last 20 years, to get them extracted to a place of safety, and of course that is then a question of getting the last military out on the sist getting the last military out on The 31st Of August, and that will certainly hope that that part of the operation that may be difficult but would go smoothly, but there is no question of military being Left Behind, that is unthinkable and disastrous in its own right. Finally, and more broadly, ijust want to get your thoughts, and so given the manner of the withdrawal, President Biden, the head of a superpower, that he set about leaving by the 31st, because of the threat from Isis K, is that a humility humiliating position for the west to be in . What does it mean for future Military Cooperation . The west to be in . What does it mean forfuture Military Cooperation . fin for future Military Cooperation . On The One hand, you could say that for future Military Cooperation . m The One hand, you could say that it is an embarrassing position, a poor position for the west to be hidden, but i think the reality is that the agreement that the us government had, made with the Taliban injohar in february 2020, pledged the american forces and Coalition Forces would be out of the country within 18 months of that agreement being signed, which takes it to The 31st Of August. That is the reality for why the americans are so hung over on the 31st. They seemed to be. Them should be some good faith in that, they did not want a prejudiced agreement with the Taliban, and therefore prejudice a future relationship. Where we go from there, think that is another very Open Question. There, think that is another very Open Question there, think that is another very Open Question. But we had to start somewhere. So the challenge is to marrying up the level of investments to the benefits of the People in the most deprived areas and what they get out of it but weve made a start. The Uk Government says improving Living Standards is a key focus of its investment in regional towns and cities, who all benefit from new funding. Unemployment . And productivity, unemployment, and skills. A public consultation is getting underway, to ask if beavers should be re introduced to englands rivers. The creatures were once widespread throughout britain, but were hunted to extinction 400 years ago. Studies have shown that the return of the mammals could help to restore river habitats. But farmers have expressed concern, as our Science Correspondent Rebecca Morelle reports. Beavers were once a common sight in britains waterways, but could we soon see them again in englands rivers . Thats the focus of a Government Consultation asking for Peoples views on the mammal s return. Well, its really exciting news. So beavers were once present across the Northern Hemisphere of the world and they were hunted to extinction 400 years ago in britain. And they have slowly, for the last 20 or 30 years, been reintroduced primarily in enclosures. And a Government Trial last year ended on the river otter, which is the first wild population to be studied. And it was a five Year Trial and they concluded that the beavers could stay. And so, for the last year, weve now been waiting for the government to propose this consultation, which is to form consensus on what happens with future wild releases. Beavers were wiped out 400 years ago hunted for their meat and glossy fur. Today, there are wild populations in scotland, after reintroductions in rivers there, and trials in wales and england have been assessing the mammal s impact on the environment. The consultation will last for 12 weeks. After that, well find out if this lost species is ready to make a comeback. Rebecca morelle, Bbc News. I think they are rather wonderful. Do stay there for this to stay with us on Bbc News, we continue to monitor events in afghanistan, especially around Kabul Airport and bringing you the latest developments there. Youre watching Bbc News. Now its time for a look at the weather with carol kirkwood. Hello again. High pressure is well and truly in charge of our weather at the moment and will be into next week, so things will be settled, but, at times, there will be some large areas of cloud. Weve got that today. Today, the sunniest and warmest conditions will be in the west. You can see how dominant the High Pressure is. We also have a weak Weather Front coming in to North Eastern scotland due to some cloud, and breezy across the South East of england and the english channel. We also have this Big Lump Of Cloud Across Central Parts of england and wales. The cloud draped across the west, the north and parts of eastern scotland. But move inland, and weve got some sunshine. Sunshine across Northern Ireland and also cumbria and lancashire. You can see the extent of The Cloud. Some of that thick enough for some drizzle. It will break here and there. West wales, Southern England hanging onto some sunshine, but The Cloud getting into East Anglia through the course of the afternoon. Temperatures, mostly in the mid to the high teens or low 20s, but they could reach 26 around the Glasgow Area again today. Now, as we head on through the evening and overnight, as that Weather Front sinks southwards, there will be more Cloud Developing. Still a brisk wind on the North Sea Coastline, but it is not going to be a particularly cold night. Temperatures falling away between 11 and 16 degrees. Into tomorrow, then, our High Pressure is still with us. If anything, drifting a little bit more to the North West. Here is our Weather Front continuing to weaken and push away. It is not going to do much more than produce some cloud and we do start on a fairly cloudy note. Any Mist And Fog that has formed overnight will generally lift and The Cloud will break out towards the west allowing sunshine to develop, maybe a wee bit more cloud at times coming in across the North Coast of Northern Ireland. And this cloud in the east looks like it should break in places and will brighten up, but it will feel bracing along the North Sea Coastline tomorrow. On friday, High Pressure still with us, again, centred across the uk. Our Weather Front moved away by then. So On Friday, more of us will see some sunshine. Yes, there will be areas of Cloud Developing as we go through the course of the day. The Breeze Wont be as strong down the North Sea Coastline, but it will still feel cooler here. Temperatures between 16 and 19. Out towards the west, temperatures will be down a touch as well, but we still are looking at up to about 20. Into the weekend, things remain settled, still those areas of cloud and some sunshine with highs getting up to about 20 degrees. This is Bbc News. The headlines at 11. With thousands desperate to flee afghanistan, President Biden refuses to extend the deadline for the us withdrawal. The sooner we can finish the better. Each day of operations brings added risk to our troops. The Foreign Secretary says the uk is focussed on evacuating as many People as possible before the deadline. We think it goes to The End of august but the Military Planners will firm up the details for the precise timeframe. And coming up well have a Special Report on the impact on afghan families settled in the uk who are desperate to help Loved Ones who they believe are stuck in limbo. New research suggests that the protection given by two doses of the Pfizer And Astrazeneca covid vaccines starts to wear off within six months. And its a golden start in tokyo for Paralympics Gb as Cyclist Dame Sarah storey takes the 15th gold of her career in her eighth games. President biden has rejected british calls to extend the united States Airlift from afghanistan beyond The 31st Of August, saying it would be too dangerous. The Number One condition were setting, as g7, is that they have got to guarantee, right the way through through August The 31st and beyond Safe Passage for those who want to come out. Cbs correspondent Bradley Blackburn is in New York explained thatJoe Biden is coming under pressure from all sides. It is coming notjust from his political opponents but from within his party. A congressman says he thinks it is very unlikely that the evacuation can be completed by next week. Republicans are sharply critical, they accuse the president of essentially capitulating towards a Taliban edict. The president has said again that he is sticking to the planet but he is leaving room in his statement asking that he has asked for Contingency Plans beyond the deadline. Most americans support the deadline. Most americans support the withdrawal of troops from afghanistan about polling shows a negative reaction to the way this has playing out. A poll here at Cbs News found that 44 of americans say the removal of troops has gone very badly. Another 30 say somewhat badly. Another 30 say somewhat badly. Another 30 say somewhat badly. A majority of americans say they disapprove of President Bidens handling of the withdrawal from afghanistan and most are also concerned that with the Taliban in control, the Terrorism Threat to the us will increase. Lets listen a bit more of President Bidens address Last Night where he detailed the potential threat to the us and allied forces. Our security correspondent, Frank Gardner explained what was known about Isis K. They dont number very many they are, as President Biden said, they are, as President Biden said, they are a sworn enemy of the Taliban and of alanda. They are present in afghanistan and it is quite clear that a few days ago, the us picked up that a few days ago, the us picked up Threat Reporting that isis was reporting to carry out some attack on the airport. You can imagine in all of that incredibly confusing crowd of People that it wouldnt be that hard for somebody to get a Suicide Bomber in there. That is exactly what isis has threatened, that they are looking to do, to try and disrupt operations. They have not been specific about where but they feed on chaos, they are rivals of the Taliban, they are rivals of alanda. They have not cheered the Taliban takeover and are recruiting more People to their cause to try and make life as difficult as possible for a Taliban ruled afghanistan. In a way it has been regulars there hasnt so far been any disruption of that sort to the airport operation. There are two threats to this entire evacuation. That is the most immediate one, that of an attacker, either a Suicide Bomber or a lodging of a Mortar Round under the runway, and the other of course is that if the us were to decide that it was going to stay on after the August 31 deadline without Taliban compliance, then you are into a whole new risky game of the Taliban have said there will be consequences that cover anything from Turning A Blind Eye to somebody possibly launching a missile. Nobody wants to take that risk. Sir Nicholas Kay was the natos Senior Civilian Representative To Afghanistan for a year to may 2020, and also the uks ambassador In Kabul between 2017 and 2018. He said the focus now needs to shift away from discussions about the August 31st deadline. I think President Bidens Statement Yesterday suggests that the opportunity to extend the deadline has realistically gone. Though noting that he has asked for Contingency Plans in case it is necessary to extend, so maybe there is a Wiggle Room but i think the focus now must be on engaging with the Taliban in order to agree an extended programme that doesnt mean extended programme that doesnt mean extended deadline for troops to be present at the airport but an extended programme for relocating afghans who have the right to decide whether where they want to live and go and afghans who have been accepted by other countries to go to. We should have a properly organised and managed programme and that really requires a joint work on this issue with the Taliban. Poland had spent up to 100 troops to kabul to coordinate the evacuation of polish citizens and afghans who worked with nato allies in the country. All polish citizens and afghans who worked with the Polish Embassy on military and who asked to be evacuated have now been airlifted out, he says. The last two flights are now on their way back to poland. So that is the first country that has said it has stopped evacuating People from afghanistan. We understand that the british flights are likely to stop within the next body four hours to 48 hours. Our political correspondent helen cattjoins me from westminster. It really is a race of time against a decision byJoe Biden not to extend the deadline. What is the latest from the government . Boris Johnson Wonder latest from the government . Boris Johnson Wonder that latest from the government . Err 3 Johnson Wonder that deadline extended, he asked, he didnt get it so now the focus seems to be on maximising the number of People they can get out before that August 31 deadline. The big question this morning is, you just mentioned there, around how long the british flights can keep ticking off from apple. The mystery of defence has dismissed speculation that they could end within the next 24 to 36 hours but it has acknowledged that the military will need some time to pack up so if youre having troops out by August 31, it will need time to pack up. One was stopped in her car in afghanistan, a colleague who worked on an educational programme, together with the head of the afghan girls robotics team. There are endless examples of attacks. They now still do not have clearance to join the british programme. They have not received correspondence, they havent received contact. They are considering taking a bus to herat, which is very insecure. Insecurity in those areas is exploding. Co workers have experienced house to house visits. They are actually putting their wives at the forefront, asking them to answer the door because they feel that the Taliban are less secure with them. I think it is very important not to demonise the Taliban. The Taliban are a very heterogeneous group. The British Government has very important strengths, double strengths, regional strengths, humanitarian strengths, that we will have to leverage in the days going forward. We will have to negotiate with them and the critical thing to do going forward is to ensure that People are able to leave afghanistan if they wish to, but that a Brain Training doesnt have to occur as well, that women will be safe, that those who have supported the Peace Process will be safe and that there will be hope for the future. I think that the uk has the capacity to support those. We will keep you updated on developments out of afghanistan including the Breaking News we brought you a few moments ago that poland has now stopped its evacuations from kabul. New research suggests that the protection given by two doses of the Pfizer And Astrazeneca coronavirus vaccines starts to wear off within six months. The latest analysis by the Zoe Covid study looked at more than A Million positive Test Results between may and july. Our health correspondent, sophie hutchinson, reports. Just how long vaccines offer protection and whether we need boosters is a crucial question ahead of the winter. Today s study adds to growing evidence that, over time, covid vaccines become less effective at stopping infections. We can tjust sit by and see the protectiveness slowly waning whilst cases are still high and the chance of infection still high, as well. The government has said there will be boosterjabs sometime in september, starting with those most at risk of severe covid 19. Sophie hutchinson, Bbc News. We can talk to a clinical virologist from the university of leicester. Thank you forjoining us. This indicates how the immunity drops but People are still protected against serious illness so tell us more about what you make of the research. This is not that surprising. There are other studies showing a drop of are other studies showing a drop of a Vaccine And Unity over time. There is a study from israel that looks at the Delta Virus and another study from the us looking at the drop in efficacy over time against other variants like the south african variant. This is not that surprising. What we are doing at the moment is relying on a vaccine generated against the original Wuhan Variant last year and we find that Thatis Variant last year and we find that that is working quite well in hospitalisations but you will see infections for two reasons. The Delta Variant is vaccine capable but also the vaccines are designed to protect against the Wuhan Vaccine but doesn t have the other variations. That will reduce its overall efficiency. In variations. That will reduce its overall efficiency. Overall efficiency. In terms of boosters. Overall efficiency. In terms of boosters, there overall efficiency. In terms of boosters, there is overall efficiency. In terms of boosters, there is a overall efficiency. In terms of. Boosters, there is a programme overall efficiency. In terms of boosters, there is a programme that is going to be starting but initially for the most vulnerable and it looks like it will be limited in scope, what are your thoughts on what should happen with boosters . Given the current situation, the boosters are really the only thing we can offer. The boosters are not specific to the Delta Variant so we are relying on its cross effective immunity to increase the number of antibodies in the system to reduce a lot of the Delta Virus entries to cells. Ideally you want a Vaccine Thatis cells. Ideally you want a vaccine that is specifically designed against the Delta Variant and this is the best we can do for the most vulnerable. Is the best we can do for the most vulnerable is the best we can do for the most vulnerable. What about Mixing And Matchin , vulnerable. What about Mixing And Matching. Has vulnerable. What about Mixing And Matching, has not vulnerable. What about Mixing And Matching, has not finally vulnerable. What about Mixing And Matching, has not finally been i matching, has not finally been resolved. There has been so much talk about the benefits of it. The Mixin Talk about the benefits of it. The mixing and talk about the benefits of it. Tia Mixing And Matching is talk about the benefits of it. Ti2 Mixing And Matching is like the booster doses, you are Mixing And Matching vaccines designed for the original wuhan marathon last year they don t have the mutations in the Delta Variant that we have now widely circulating in the uk and elsewhere in the world. The Delta Variant has specific petitions that are not contained in the current generation of vaccines. Even with boosting, over time, that Delta Virus will break through those barriers over time unfortunately. The figures we got today show how the protection fell over a period of around five months but as we head into winter, is it, can we expect that immunity is going to continue to drop and if People haven t had their boosters, can the middle of winter when potentially People could be more vulnerable to an increased spread as we see in the winter months, could there be another wave potentially . Months, could there be another Wave Otentiall . ,. , , potentially . Potentially, yes. If ou are potentially . Potentially, yes. If you are boosting potentially . Potentially, yes. If you are boosting People potentially . Potentially, yes. If you are boosting People with i potentially . Potentially, yes. If you are boosting People with al you are boosting People with a vaccine against the Delta Variant, although the numbers of hospitalisations and deaths will overall reduce if we didn t do that, the numbers still being hospitalised and making their way to icu and hospitals may be enough to still overin hospitals may be enough to still over in the Health Care system in winter as these levels of an Unity Job over time. The more vulnerable patients, so even with a booster vaccine, because it is not specific to the Delta Variant, you will still see some breakthrough infections and over time there is notjust a precaution, those absolute numbers going into hospital may still overwhelm the Health Care service in future in the next six months or so. And with the other respiratory diseases are coming back, as well as the backlog through non comic cases over the last 19 months as well as the usual cold winter wings that we see every winter with the cold weather. ,. , see every winter with the cold weather. ,. ,. Some Breaking News about the report into the origins of covid 19. We understand a review of the intelligence into the origins of it has been delivered to the White House. Us media reports say the review has not been able to come to a conclusion about whether the virus emerge naturally or came as a result of an accident at a lab. So it sounds like its not going to take as any further forward on what has already been said about where it came from. It was a 90 Day Review ordered by President Biden in may after the us Intelligence Community said it could not reach a definitive conclusion regarding those two possibilities. The review involved we are analysing existing Data, working with scientists at us national labs as well as asking intelligence agencies to see if they could find any new information. A public statement summarising the conclusions is expected in the coming days. The number of18 31i year olds who smoke increased by 25 in england during the first lockdown. I suppose its not completely surprising its not completely surprising because we all know how stressful particularly young People have found covid 19 and the impact its had on their lives. I think what is more important is how we address it, because the lessons for the future are extremely worrying because we know that smoking once started is highly addictive. Currently of every three young People who start smoking only one will quit before they die. So we need to get more investment by the government in helping People to quit, in motivating them to realise that smoking is not the solution to stress they think it is. fire that smoking is not the solution to stress they think it is. And that grew as a result of the epidemic in america which was where E Liquid to vape cannabis rather than nicotine had been adulterated with acetate which has the same viscosity as cannabis oil, and so was being used to cut it and mean that People could make more profit. Unfortunately, it was extremely damaging to the lungs of those whove aped it, and over 60 People died and thousands suffered serious lung injuries. We see nothing like that here, unfortunately though the publicity about the Valley Epidemic led to a significant growth in the number of People in this country who think that vaping is more or equally dangerous to smoking. And something like third currently believe that, which is not the case, it is much less harmful, and certainly i would agree with you, if anyone is thinking they want nicotine they should vape rather than smoke because smoking is lethal. Certainly that was what People thought, but if you look at the trends, although the numbers of smokers have gone down significantly, it is still the case that one in six adults smoke. And if we are to actually achieve the Governments Ambition of a smoke free 2030 then we need to do much more, the current trends in the most recent evidence about youth and young adult uptake go to prove that, they show much more needs to be done, there are things that can be done, there are things that can be done but it requires investment. Government has promised a new Tobacco Control Plan due injuly this year, but been put back, understandably, but the plan must have sufficient Funding And Sort of measures that will make a difference. We know that if the age of sale of cigarettes was increased from 18 to 21, it would reduce the numbers of 18 to 20 year olds taking up numbers of 18 to 20 year olds taking up smoking by about 30 . That is what happened on 16 and 17 year olds when the age of sail was increased from 16 to 18. And its what has happened in america where they now have an age of sale of 21. The Taliban takeover of afghanistan has caused Panic And Confusion for thousands of british citizens trying to return home, but its also had a devastating impact on afghan families settled in the uk, desperate to help Loved Ones who they believe are stuck in limbo. Our special Correspondent Ed thomas has been speaking to People here and In Kabul. Is he ok, can he talk to us . Right now, were scared and we Cant Talk properly. And what should we do over here . They are going to kill us. We dont want that. The Phone Calls to kabul. The anguish, uncertainty of what comes next. Inside, ifeel like i am broken into many pieces. My body is here, my soul is in afghanistan. And so is the rest of her family uncles, aunties, in laws. Most of them work for the afghan government or Western Forces. This is the picture of the Taliban they have taken secretly, my brother in law. We blurred these images not to reveal the family home. So this is them in the house. This is the Taliban. They want a female member of ourfamily. They want to know where they are. They were just sitting there. Is that a rifle . Yeah. She says all the women in the family have been moved to a safe house. This is the problem they have, because they are in hidden places. We have to ring so many times. She is not feeling well, she cannot go to the doctor. She is saying she is really ill and she cannot go to the doctor or anything. They are eligible under the resettlement scheme, but we have heard nothing. What do you think will happen to yourfamily . They will get killed, they will get killed. 100 they will get killed. If i leave them and something happens to them, i will never be able to forgive myself. From manchester to kabul. The four gates to Kabul Airport are mobbed by thousands of People. I really wonder how many of them are genuine and how many are opportunists. Documents are being faked all over the place. At the cost of a few pounds. I wouldnt be surprised if some People managed to get onto flights to the uk with fake documents. But there are lucky ones. Officially flown out of kabul, now in quarantine. The kids are sleeping in another room. This is amazing. Khasrow is thankful, safe and alive with his family. Kabul has collapsed. Police say they expect to spend several days searching a popular Fishing Spot near york as part of a renewed investigation into the suspected murder of claudia lawrence. The area being examined by officers is about eight miles from herformer home. The chef was 35 when she vanished in 2009. No one has ever been charged. Speaking to the bbc, claudias mother, joan, has said she is in Utter Shock and very, very churned up about the new Police Search for her daughter. Its a shock. I am very, very churned up, actually. Its too much to take in in a short time. And nothing seems to happen for a long, long time. And everything has come together. And i havent had time to really digest it and get myself together with at all. Get together the possibilities. Wondering where it has all come from. Wonder if its some information, why Sand Hutton . I Cant Think of any connection with Sand Hutton that claudia would have. But then you dont know everything that your kids do, do you . They dont always tell you everything, do they . How difficult has the day been for you . Once more, you are thrust into the media spotlight. It has been very difficult because its been a long time since it happened to this extent. But i have learnt a lot. An awful lot. I have learnt a lot about the media, about People. You make mistakes and there are People who say they learn from their mistakes and they dont. I hope i have learned from the mistakes that ive made. But at The End of the day, this is very personal and its about me and my daughter that i havent seen for 12 years. Its just turned 12 years, it is coming up to 12 and a half years now. And every single day is a nightmare. This is an added one. But the response from People like you, friends, family, People are ringing me up, they are offering beds, and somebody is looking down on me because they always do. And it will get me through. You have always had great faith throughout the last 12 years. Yes, all my life. Yes. How is that faith helping you now when you dont know what is going to come out as a result of the searches that are going on . It will give me courage. It will give me strength to get through, to deal with what happens, it will support me, no matter what has gone on, its there. Its always been there. You have always had hope. Do you still have hope . Yes. If you give up hope, you might as well give up altogether. Mcdonalds this weekjoined a long list of big names reporting shortages of some products as a result of supply problems. And there are fears the problem is getting worse and affecting other firms too. Our Business Correspondent Ben Thompson has been looking at what is behind the shortages. At first it was that Peri Peri Chicken at nandos, then the milkshake at mcdonalds. So what is going on as far as shortages are concerned and what and where could be next . So let me just remind you, a shortage of chicken caused nandos to shut 50 sites last week. They blamed what they were calling Supply Chain issues. Well, those restaurants are now open again. But then on monday it was mcdonalds turn to say it couldnt sell milkshakes or bottled drinks. This time it was due to a shortage of hgv drivers to make those deliveries. So the big question could this problem get worse before it gets better . Well, we spoke to other big name fast food firms to ask if theyve also been affected. Well, the Sandwich Chain Subway told us they are experiencing minor shortages of some fresh produce, but it said disruption so far had been minimal. The Pub Chain wetherspoons is also one of the biggest food buyers and sellers in the uk. They said they are aware of some forthcoming shortages of certain items, so they are now trying to find alternative suppliers. And you might not have heard of mitchells and butlers, but you will know some of its big brands all bar one, harvester, toby carvery, to name a few. They told us they are seeing sporadic shortages. Now, thats partly because of Supply Chain workers being pinged, and they hope that the new rules about fully vaccinated workers not having to self isolate would help speed things along. Well, understandably, lots of companies didnt want to comment, but Food Industry experts say the problem really is here to stay. I think we are going to see more and more of this. I think we are literally heading to a brick wall. It is something that basically involves a lot of People and all those People have to work together and its no good if you havent got enough People working in the factories or you havent got enough drivers, thats going to have a really huge knock on effect. And we are starting to see a knock on effect of this for christmas it is going to affect christmas. Now, it might seem a little early to be talking about the c word, but thoughts are inevitably turning to christmas. The british meat Processors Association says turkey, gammon and our christmas staple, pigs in blankets, could be in danger. We usually buy a0 million packets of them, but there is a shortage of People to actually make them, so it means production could be cut by a third. So why is all of this happening all at once . Well, it is a bit of a perfect storm. There are lots of issues all coming at once. Self isolating workers after the pandemic, of course, leaving firms short of staff. Brexit, too, has meant big changes to import and export rules. And visa rules have prompted thousands of overseas drivers to return home. Now, an ageing workforce also means that drivers are retiring, but theres not enough new recruits that are joining. And some big firms, like the supermarkets, have also put their wages up and offered bonuses to try and attract new drivers, but it means that smaller businesses, like steves, are struggling to hang onto their staff. Weve had some very good staff who have left us for Food Distribution companies, mainly. Our general fleet has 25 drivers. We are currently down, as of today, we are down five. Goods are being delayed, we are not getting stuff to stores, to retailers, to industry as it should be. We are at the moment, here, we are running behind round about three days. So we are now starting to collect and deliver freight that should have been delivered last week. We have increased all of our drivers salaries, we have increased benefits. It gets to a point where we can only absorb so much of the cost ourselves before the business becomes unviable. Well, it seems that problem is set to get worse. The Road Haulage Association says that around 2000 drivers are leaving the job every single week, and just half that, 1000 of them, are signing up. So there are now calls for a temporary Visa Scheme to allow Eu Drivers to work here once again, to help ease that problem. Now, of course though, as the industry gears up for what should be its busiest time of year, there are real worries right now about what will and wont be available on the shelves this christmas. A public consultation is getting underway to ask if beavers should be re introduced to englands rivers. And so for the last year, weve now been waiting for the government to propose this consultation, which is to form consensus on what happens with future wild releases. Now its time for a look at the weather. High pressure is in charge of our weather at the moment and will be into next week, some things remain settled but at times there will be large areas of cloud. We have that today, today the sunniest and warmest conditions will be in the west. You can see how dominant the High Pressure is. We also have a week when the front coming in across the North East of scotland, introducing some cloud and breezy across the South East of england in the english channel. We also have this big lump of cloud across central england and wales, and cloud across the west, the north and parts of the east of scotland, but move inland and we have sunshine across Northern Ireland and also cumbria and lancashire. We can see the extent of The Cloud, some thick enough to drizzle. It will break here and there, west wales, Southern England hanging onto some sunshine, but The Cloud getting into East Anglia through the gauze of the afternoon. Temperatures mostly in the mid to high teens or low 20s, but we could reach 26 around the Glasgow Area again today. Heading through the evening and overnight, as a Weather Front sinks south, more cloud develops, still a brisk wind in the North Sea Coastline, but not a particularly cold night. Temperatures falling away between 11 and 16. Tomorrow, High Pressure is still with us, a little more to the North West. The Weather Front continues to weaken and push away. It wont do much more than producing some cloud, and we start on a fairly cloudy note. Any Mist And Fog that formed overnight were generally left in The Cloud will break out towards the west allowing sunshine to develop, maybe a little more cloud at times coming in across the North Coast of Northern Ireland, and this cloud in the east looks like it should break in places and will brighten up, but it will feel bracing along the North Sea Coastline tomorrow. On friday, High Pressure still with us, said across the uk. Our weatherfront moved pressure still with us, said across the uk. Our Weather Front moved away by then. On friday, more of us will see some sunshine. There will be areas of Cloud Developing as we go through the day, the Breeze Wont be as strong down the radzi coastline, but it will still feel cool air. Temperatures between 16 and 19 out towards the west temperatures down towards the west temperatures down to touch as well but we are still looking at up to about 20. Into the weekend, things remain settled, still those areas of cloud and some sunshine, with highs getting up to about 20. This is Bbc News. The headlines. As planes continue to leave kabul with evacuees looking to escape Taliban rule President Biden refuses to extend the deadline for the us withdrawal. The sooner we can finish, the better. The National Trust says climate change could hit visits to british tourist sites, with temporary closures possible to help staff cope with conditions the Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab, has signalled that the evacuation of civilians from Kabul Airport will have to end before the final withdrawal of american troops next tuesday. It follows President Biden saying that each day of operations brings added risk to our troops and rejecting british calls to extend the united States Airlift from afghanistan beyond The 31st Of August. Some us soldiers have already started to leave as the Rescue Effort enters its final phase. So far, 70,700 People have been evacuated from Kabul Airport as the Rescue Operation picks up pace. Mr raab declined to rule out reports that Raf Rescue flights could stop within 48 hours, but said the uk would use every hour it had left to get as many People out as possible. Poland says the deteriorating Security Situation means it can no longer risk the lives of our diplomats and has stopped evacuations from kabul. The Number One condition were setting, as g7, is that they have got to guarantee, right the way through through August The 31st and beyond Safe Passage for those who want to come out. But this poses a risk. It is the Taliban who ultimately is deciding this deadline, because the group says the us and allied forces have to leave by The End of the Month Or Face consequences. The biden administration is confident it can make the deadline and that whoever wants to leave will be able to. Since august the 11rth, he says, more than 70,000 People, including afghan allies, have been flown out of harms way. Lets listen a bit more of President Bidens address Last Night where he detailed the potential threat to the us and allied forces. Our security correspondent, Frank Gardner explained what kind of threat was posed by the Isis Affiliate known as Isis K. They dont number very many, they are, as President Biden said, they are a sworn enemy of the Taliban and of alanda. They are present in afghanistan and it is quite clear that a few days ago, the us picked up Threat Reporting that isis was reporting to carry out some attack on the airport. In a way it has been miraculous there hasnt so far been any disruption of that sort to the airport operation. There are two threats to this entire evacuation. That is the most immediate one, that of an attack, either a Suicide Bomber or a launching of a Mortar Round under the runway, and the other of course is that if the us were to decide that it was going to stay on after the August 31 deadline without Taliban compliance, then you are into a whole new risky game and the Taliban have said there will be consequences that cover anything from Turning A Blind Eye to somebody possibly launching a missile. Nobody wants to take that risk. The clock is ticking, Breaking News, there has been a victory for Sharon Graham in the election to be the new general secretary of the unite union. She was the outsider, she has won it. She won 46,696 volts. Steve turner got 41,843 and Gerard Coyne got 31500 and 34. Len mccluskey, the outgoing general secretary had wanted his ally Steve Turner to win so this is something of an upset. There she is, Sharon Graham who has one. She now becomes the new head of the unite union. Speaking to bbc breakfast, the Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said they are committed to evacuating as many People as possible. What we are aimed at doing, having the Capacity And Day that we have got left to push through the outstanding cases of british nationals, afghans who have worked for us but also those ability cases if we can. That is something they will need to be able to provide details on. Mr raab also defended being on holiday as the Taliban was advancing on kabul. Hindsight is the luxury of politicians commentators are not politicians. The afghan Foreign Minister, there was an opportunity for a call. It is quite right in an Emergency Situation that i use the brilliant Ministerial Team i have to do to focus on the Number One priority, which was to stabilise the airport and get the stuff on the ground to process the claims. Let me answer the question. You ground to process the claims. Let me answer the question. Answer the question. You said you deleuated answer the question. By that point, by the saturday, control was ebbing in a couple and indeed the afghan Foreign Minister had left by sunday. So the idea that we would be able to effect any change clear it was nonsense. There was nothing lost by doing that and the focus that we had was rightly at the focus that we had was rightly at the time securing the airport and increasing the capacity and as a result, since that point in time, we got 9,000 People out sol result, since that point in time, we got 9,000 People out so i think that demonstrates it was the right priority for me and the government. Dr Marissa Quie is a fellow at Lucy Cavendish College cambridge, Associate Lecturer in hsps and worked since 2009 for the Peace Programme with Minister Stanekzai he was the chief negotiator with the Taliban for the intra afghan peace talks. She told us about her colleagues who currently are unable to leave the country. My my colleagues at the moment are really struggling to join the british Extradition Programmes or the afghanistan relocation programme. It is really geared towards People who work directly with the British Government but women and others who supported the disarmament of the Taliban and the Peace Programme are not eligible for that programme. There is supposedly a bespoke programme, special cases programme. I have helped them fill out the paperwork. Have a phd and the paperwork is labyrinth in and it gets spat out and put back into arab, for which they are not eligible, so they have very little time left. I think the programme needs to be simplified, needs to be clarified. We saw the crush of People yesterday, crushed together as they tried to reach the very last points where they will meet someone from the british embassy or the american embassy to process their visas, process the documents so they can finally get onto that airfield where there is this eerie kind of calm, the engines are humming and the helicopters taking them out of afghanistan. After the announcement was made, i think the panic is rising. Before, it was hard to get through the queue, that huge queue to get to The End of the gauge, now it is even harder to get to the airport. People are trying, they are being turned back. There was a bus that left in the early hours of the morning, full of afghans who had all the right documents, all the right permissions and passports, and they were turned back. So theyjoin the many others trying, hoping against hope, racing against the clock, to get out of here before the gates are slammed shut with the departure of the us. Even before the us, the british and french and others are probably likely to depart even sooner. Irate likely to depart even sooner. We know already this morning that poland has taken its last two flights out of the airport, it says it is simply too dangerous to put its People at risk there any more. What are the concerns around the threat, the specific threat . This is a time when threat, the specific threat . This is a time when rumours threat, the specific threat . This is a time when rumours raised, a time when rumours raised, speculations saw full of course, any moment of panic, there are groups who are going to try to exploit the situation. There is even the risks of the security that is in place. We saw yesterday how quick the Taliban, who are in control of the outside of the airport, how quick they where to shoot a gun, to use a whip, to push back the crowds. Now images, terrible images are emerging on social media. I looked at them before i came on air. Some filming himself with his face bloodied as he tried to make his way through the crowd but the Taliban had been hitting him. There are those risks and there are bigger risks. Intelligence warnings which we have had for many days now that groups like the islamic state in this region could try to exploit the situation, to have a last attack on the americans as they are going out. I think we have to be very careful not to dramatise what is already a traumatic situation. The not to dramatise what is already a traumatic situation. Traumatic situation. The airport is very much traumatic situation. The airport is very much the traumatic situation. The airport is very much the focus traumatic situation. The airport is very much the focus and traumatic situation. The airport is| very much the focus and obviously traumatic situation. The airport is i very much the focus and obviously it is the most straightforward way out if People can get there and they can get the right documents and can get on a flight but there will be People who simply cannot get on a flight out. What will they do, what are People saying . It is a long way to have to go on foot and that will obviously be fraught with other dangers. Obviously be fraught with other dancers. ,. ,. , dangers. Yes, it is one of those moments dangers. Yes, it is one of those moments where dangers. Yes, it is one of those moments where all dangers. Yes, it is one of those moments where all attention, l dangers. Yes, it is one of those l moments where all attention, all fears and passions are telescoped on what this one last moment, the last week of the presence of american and other nato armies, but once they leave, afghanistan will be in the hands of afghans, in this case under Taliban control, but what we expect will happen is that neighbours like pakistan, allies like the Gulf State of qatar, they are already in urgent talks with the Taliban leaders. They will want to get commercial flights going again, they will want to put in Place And Air Traffic Control System that can reassure airlines that it system that can reassure Airlines Thatitis System that can reassure airlines that it is safe to fly in and out of afghanistan. The roads will open to neighbouring countries, including pakistan. So this sounds like it is the last escape, but of course the doors are not going to completely shut and there are other doors and windows which will open after this moment passes. I think for many afghans, even those who have not been directly threatened, they fear the restrictions that the Taliban are likely to impose, to reimpose. They fear for the future of their children, that the girls and boys will not be given the same opportunities which were offered in the last 20 years, so they see that this could be the last to get possibly to a western country and is not surprising that they want to try to it. But life will go on in afghanistan, even though it is so uncertain now, and Tens Of Millions of afghans have no way out. They have no choice. Some of them dont want to go. I am meeting educated afghans, journalists, other professionals who have decided they dont want to be a refugee. They dont want to be a refugee. They dont want to be a refugee. They dont want an even more uncertain live abroad, they will stay here and see if it works. In rural areas across afghanistan, People will stay, they will wait to find out what it is like to live again under Taliban rule. Some reaction from Sir Keir Starmer to the election of Sharon Graham as the next Secretary General of the unite union. He has tweeted his congratulations to her, the first ever woman to hold that role. He says he is looking forward to working together to improve the lives of working People across the country. Joining me now is dr alexander edwards, associate professor in biomedical technology at the university of reading. Thank you forjoining us what do you think about how quickly apparently the immunity declines . It is about 10 every four months or so. Is that what you would expect . First 10 every four months or so. Is that what you would expect . What you would expect . First of all, immune responses what you would expect . First of all, immune responses to what you would expect . First of all, immune responses to decline, what you would expect . First of all, immune responses to decline, that| what you would expect . First of all, | immune responses to decline, that is perfectly normal and is ready important to remember that they can fire back interaction really quickly when they read encounter something. Of course this is about protection from infection. Ithink of course this is about protection from infection. I think i wouldnt worry so much because i wouldnt expect it to carry on declining quite as quickly. You would expect after a vaccine that it would decline fastest at the beginning but absolutely we need to be looking at this and following this. That absolutely we need to be looking at this and following this. This and following this. That is interesting this and following this. That is interesting how this and following this. That is interesting how you this and following this. That is interesting how you cite this and following this. That is interesting how you cite the i interesting how you cite the immunity can fire up if something, if the body encounters something so what does that say then about if somebody does come across an infection, Orwe Somebody does come across an infection, or we worrying too much about the level of antibodies at this point . About the level of antibodies at this oint . , this point . The crucial point is, we can look at this point . The crucial point is, we can look at it this point . The crucial point is, we can look at it the this point . The crucial point is, we can look at it the positive this point . The crucial point is, we can look at it the positive way this point . The crucial point is, we can look at it the positive way is i can look at it the positive way is the vaccines. If you take the efficacy even now six months on, if we had been offered that a year ago, we had been offered that a year ago, we would have jumped at the chance to have a vaccine more than 50 protective which will save a lot of lives and make a big difference. The only thing we need to do is to remain vigilant and cautious because you still can get infected even if you still can get infected even if you have been double jabbed. Eg s you have been double abbed. 50 immuni you have been double jabbed. 50 immunity about the winter is what is being suggested potentially on this rate. If the Boosterjab Programme has not been rolled out, what could that mean in terms of another wave . Again, to have is of that. On The One hand we still expect really strong protection against severe disease so maybe even if you have large numbers of cases, we wont see the level of severe cases and hospitalisation and the pressure of the nhs we saw previously so that would be positive. However the flip side is that People are getting infected so maybe we will end up with even higher numbers of infections so it is very difficult to see exactly how it will pan out but we need to plan for this. Itruihdt but we need to plan for this. What do ou but we need to plan for this. What do you think but we need to plan for this. What do you think about but we need to plan for this. What do you think about boosters . Boosters can be very useful. I guess the only caveat is we always need to weigh up what other alternatives are there for those vaccine doses . I am concerned that there are People in the world who havent even received a first dose yet so we have to make sure the supplies are disputed fairly. Of course we should be very confident that we can make effective booster doses if they become needed so we will keep watching this Data before we make the decision. A review of the intelligence into the origins of covid 19 has been delivered to the White House, the bbc understands. Us media reports the review has not come to a conclusion about whether the virus emerged naturally, or was the result of an accident at a lab in wuhan in china. The Intelligence Review was originally ordered by President Biden in may, and a statement is due in the next few days. A report into the use of tasers by police in england and wales says the use of them risks losing legitimacy in the eyes of the public. The report by the independent office for Police Conduct was commissioned after a series of taser incidents involving black men and People with mental health concerns. With me is our home Affairs Correspondent, sean dilley. Tell us we are going to look at the Sample Size in a Moment But Letjust distressed that the independent office for Police Conduct, they are not please officers, they enjoy police powers when investigating but deliver the most serious complaints against police. What have they looked at . They reviewed 101 cases that were investigated by the Police Watchdog out of around 94,045 Teaser Usesin Watchdog out of around 94,045 teaser uses in that time period. They found in these very serious cases that there were issues around the guidance given to Police Officers as to when and how tasers should be used. What do we mean by use of taser . When a Police Officer pulls out a taser . Whether they pointed at someone or to get out of their holsters, that is a use, but in this case we are looking at the 101 cases reviewed, 108 People had them used against them but of those, 94 had them discharged into them. Might this lead to changes them discharged into them. Might this lead to changes in them discharged into them. Might this lead to changes in the them discharged into them. The Sample Size at the moment is are used . The Sample Size at the moment is causing are used . The Sample Size at the moment is causing Consternation J are used . The Sample Size at the moment is causing consternation with the national police councils representing senior officers are dismissing the research, they say it is vague and lacking detail. They say they are disappointed that the Iop Sea did not attend a Taser Course and engage with them. There is now going to be quite a debate between policing stakeholders and the independent office for Police Conduct in terms of what you can take from these reports. Certainly the concerning aspect that everybody will be discussing is how it impacts on People depending on your racial background. For instance black People are far more lucky to be involved with incidents where tasers are used in the general sense but youre more likely to be physically tasered if you are white. Now its time for a look at the weather with tomasz shafernacker. Another fine day across the uk. The best of the weather, sunnier skies across the North West of uk. Northern ireland, western scotland with the central of the High Pressure here. This is where the highest amateurs will be this afternoon, peaking at 26 in glasgow. Light winds, blue skies. Elsewhere colour because we have more cloud. Notice a cold front will be just grazing eastern parts of the uk during the course of the night. Introducing a somewhat stronger breeze coming off the North Sea. Temperatures first thing will be more less the same everywhere, 14 degrees, but the cool front by Day Tomorrow will introduce a lot more cloud to eastern areas and some of that cloud will drift further west, too. A chill in the air on the North Sea Coast Tomorrow from newcastle to norwich but remaining warm in the west. Hello, this is Bbc News. The headlines with thousands desperate to flee afghanistan, President Biden refuses to extend the deadling for the us withdrawal. The sooner we can finish, the better. Each day of operations brings added risk to our troops. The Foreign Secretary says the uk is focussed on evacuating as many People as possible before the deadline. National trust sites are being allowed to shift their working hours so they can avoid the mid day sun. The organisation says its decision is influenced by their research on climate change and extreme heatwaves. So far one Location Ham House has taken up the idea. To tell us more is lizzy carlyle whos the head of climate and environment at the National Trust. Thanks forjoining us. So what is the idea . Thanks for oining us. So what is the idea . ~ ,. , the idea . Well, weve been doing some research the idea . Well, weve been doing some research into the idea . Well, weve been doing some research into how the idea . Well, weve been doing some research into how climate l some research into how climate change is affecting our visitors and how things like hotter days and rainy days will affect visitors, and that also affects how we staff our sites safely and how volunteers can work with us. Teiiii sites safely and how volunteers can work with us sites safely and how volunteers can work with us. Tell us more about the atterns work with us. Tell us more about the patterns youve work with us. Tell us more about the patterns youve spotted. Work with us. Tell us more about the patterns youve spotted. Weve patterns youve spotted. Weve looked at something patterns youve spotted. Weve looked at something like patterns youve spotted. Weve looked at something like 85. Patterns youve spotted. Weve looked at something like 85 Million visits over the last five years, and correlated those to the weather patterns, particularly high Heat And Rain helpful, and we can clearly see that as temperatures rise People are less keen to come to some of our sites, particularly over 28 degrees they really drop away. But we are also seeing surges to some of coastal and countryside sites when the weather gets hot, and we really need to think about how we can manage that shift. The need to think about how we can manage that shift. Need to think about how we can manage that shift. The only thing is, its manage that shift. The only thing is. Its not manage that shift. The only thing is, its not always manage that shift. The only thing is, its not always predictable, i manage that shift. The only thing is, its not always predictable, is| is, its not always predictable, is it . Right now its not that hot, particularly not compared with last summer, whereas earlier in the summer, whereas earlier in the summer when we didnt expect it to be that hot, it was. So howd you accommodate that with a rotor of People working the properties . Qt People working the properties . Of course, there is one truth about climate change which is that there is great uncertainty, and i think when we are looking at how we manage our places and how we encourage People to come and enjoy them, we need to be really agile around the weather and how we can adapt to it, so we see february now with Plus 20 Degrees Weather and People Love To come and have ice cream, we need to be ready to receive visitors and all the seasons. 50 be ready to receive visitors and all the seasons be ready to receive visitors and all the seasons. So explain how it will work, its really the seasons. So explain how it will work, its really frustrating the seasons. So explain how it will work, its really frustrating when i work, its really frustrating when you go somewhere because the weather is good but the seasonal opening times mean its not necessarily offering all the services you would want. So are you talking about more opening times, because the way this has been portrayed as its about having siestas in the afternoons, but its more complicated than that. It is more complicated than that, i think the research shows that there is lots of answers we dont have at the moment about how to manage in the moment about how to manage in the future climate. But i think we will look at a range of options. And what is interesting about the research is it definitely shows you can have two places quite close to Each Other that the visitors respond differently to in different weather patterns, so we want to look at those places and understand why some of them are more attractive in periods of high heat, for example, and learn from those and then share that learning across all our places and the wider Tourism Sector as well. 50 and the wider Tourism Sector as well,. ,. , and the wider Tourism Sector as well. ,. ,. ,. , and the wider Tourism Sector as well. ,. ,. ,. , and the wider Tourism Sector as well. ,. ,. ,. Well. So you do have a specific example. Well. So you do have a specific example, because well. So you do have a specific example, because ham well. So you do have a specific example, because Ham House well. So you do have a specific example, because Ham House has said it will take up this new flexibility, how will it work there . I think it had to shut in 2019 because of high heat, it was the first time we had to do that, and it was a real wake up call for the team and for us about how we manage our places. What they are doing at Ham House is, during those short but intense periods of heat, is asking their staff and volunteers if they would like to come and work earlier in the morning and later in the afternoon, and that has been popular with the teams to spread that working pattern. 50 with the teams to spread that working pattern. Working pattern. So its very mediterranean. Working pattern. So its very mediterranean. It working pattern. So its very mediterranean. It feels i working pattern. So its very| mediterranean. It feels quite mediterranean. Mediterranean. It feels quite mediterranean. But mediterranean. It feels quite mediterranean. But ham i mediterranean. It feels quite i mediterranean. But Ham House is mediterranean. It feels quite mediterranean. But Ham House is a great example of that, because we are shifting a lot of our planting in the garden to a mediterranean scheme as well, so they will feel right at home. 50 scheme as well, so they will feel right at Home Scheme as well, so they will feel right at home. So it is the siesta, then, at right at home. So it is the siesta, then. At Ham Right at home. So it is the siesta, then, at Ham House. Right at home. So it is the siesta, l then, at Ham House. Occasionally. Right at home. So it is the siesta, i then, at Ham House. Occasionally. We dont want to then, at Ham House. Occasionally. We dont want to overplay then, at Ham House. Occasionally. We dont want to overplay that then, at Ham House. Occasionally. We dont want to overplay that because i dont want to overplay that because i think weve got lots of other challenges we need to face up to as well. But that might be one of the options, that changing working patterns that we are looking at. Its very interesting to think these things through because, as you say, it is something well probably notice with different habits on what we do because of the weather changing, as it does. Thank so much. Lets return to the situation in afghanistan, where the Taliban takeover of country has caused Panic And Confusion for thousands of british citizens trying to return home. Its also had a devastating impact on afghan families settled in the uk, desperate to help Loved Ones who they believe are stuck in limbo. This is the picture of the Taliban they have taken secretly, my brother in law. We blurred these images not to reveal the family home. So this is them in the house. This is the Taliban. They want a female member of ourfamily. They want to know where they are. They were asking for the women . They were just sitting there. Is that a rifle . Yeah. She says all the women in the family have been moved to a safe house. This is the problem they have, because they are in hidden places. They dont have much signal. In the hands of the Taliban. It was shocking for us. That was Ed Thomas speaking to People about their experiences of leaving afghanistan. Police say they expect to spend several days searching a popular Fishing Spot near york as part of a renewed investigation into the suspected murder of claudia lawrence. The area being examined by officers is about eight miles from herformer home. Claudia, who worked as a chef, was 35 when she vanished in 2009. No one has ever been charged. Speaking to the bbc, claudias mother, joan, has spoken about the impact of the new Police Search for her daughter. Utter shock. In rhyl, they wait and wonder if the ripples from such schemes will wash beyond the seafront. Michael buchanan, Bbc News, rhyl. It is something that basically involves a lot of People and all those People have to work together, and its no good if you havent got enough People working in the factories or you havent got enough drivers, thats going to have a really huge knock on effect. And so for the last year, weve now been waiting for the government to propose this consultation, which is to form consensus on what happens with future wild releases. Ben brown will be here with the news at one in a few minutes forecasters are going to be probably running out of things to say over the next few days. There is going to be so little change in the weather. Brought by this High Pressure which has angered itself across the uk, its really established now and its here to stay for the next few days. But there is a cold front here across the North Sea, and if you look at The Cloud, is coming out of the north, moving southwards, that will introduce slightly fresher air tomorrow. Today the best of the weather so far has been across the North West of the uk, its been so fine for the last couple of days. Look at all that cloud across into wales, this cloud will be breaking through the day and giving way to some sunshine, but really the warmest, the sunniest weather will be in the south west and the west of scotland, up to 26 Degrees Today in glasgow, mid 20s possible for Northern Ireland. Heres the cool front moving across during the night, that will introduce fresher conditions to the North Sea coast initially, and then The Cloud in the fresh conditions will spread further inland as we go through the course of the on thursday. Not much rain on this Weather Front, of the on thursday. Not much rain on this weatherfront, its mostly cloud from the North East of england through yorkshire into just about the midlands and the South East. The best of the weather i think on thursday will be across western areas. 23 could be the warm spots in wales, in cardiff. On friday, back in High Pressure. The High Pressure is still here and not moving a lot, its just changing shape a bit and that also changes the Wind Direction across the uk. The areas of cloud we have right now will move to different parts of the country over the coming days, and thats a really difficult thing to forecast, cloud amounts, the different layers through the atmosphere, overlapping, for example, here on Saturday Lots of sunshine across western parts of the uk, perhaps a bit of cloud further east. Sunday will be no different, and we will stick our neck out into Bank Holiday monday and probably beyond as well. That High Pressure is certainly here to stay for now. The goverment says it will use every hour thats left to evacuate as many People as it can from afghanistan. With thousands still desperate to leave Kabul Airport, President Biden refuses to extend the deadline beyond next tuesday. The sooner we can finish, the better. Each day of operations brings added risk to our troops. Troops will have to pull out in advance of the deadline, making it a race against time to get more civilians out. What we will to do is use every remaining Hour And Day to get our nationals, such as we can, the afghans who work for us, out. Already the afghans who work for us, out. Getting scholars rights already getting scholars and womens rights defenders out
