After the thrill of beating denmark, england turn their attentions to Italy, and sundays meeting at wembley for the European Championship tItle. The forecast as we head into the weekend, It might not scream summer but there could be some warm sunshine between the downpours. I will have your forecast later on. Its friday the 9th ofjuly. Our top story. Travel companies are reporting a huge surge in demand forflights and holidays after the government announced changes to Quarantine Rules. In ten days time, anyone in england whos Double Jabbed can visIt an Amber List Country wIthout having to self isolate when they get back. The easing of restrictions is expected to result in a big boost for the Travel Industry. Our Correspondent Aruna Iyengar has this report. Remember this . A foreign holiday may soon be a realIty. Travel companies say bookings to Amber List countries have taken off following the relaxation of rules on quarantine. Its a Life Saver for them. Traffic on our websIte had a huge spike at lunchtime, straight after the announcement was there. There is a huge amount of demand for people to Go On holiday, people do want to get away, theyve wanted to go away. WIthin an hour of the announcement, skyscanner saw a 53 increase in traffic to our sIte following the same time the day before. And thatsjust, i mean, a clear sign of the huge appetIte that there is for travel. Jet2 says medIterranean hotspots like spain, the balearics, canaries, greece and the greek islands are the most popular. Easyjet says, after the government announcement, bookings were up 400 . Its not plain sailing yet. There will be extra costs because travellers have to pay for Covid Tests before and after their return. Also, theyll still have to quarantine if theyve been jabbed outside the uk, and rules may be different in Northern Ireland, scotland and wales. Some have questioned why Travel Restrictions are easing now, just as the number of coronavirus cases in the uk is soaring. Its the highest in europe. But cases are starting to rise thereto, particularly in popular Holiday Destinations like spain, portugal and greece. That could mean a sudden changes to travel rules imposed by other countries. Also, whatever the Uk Nations decide, a number of countries like Italy still wont allow Uk Travellers in wIthout a period of isolation. And some amber countries wont let Uk Holiday makers in at all. Aruna iyengar, Bbc News. Well be speaking to Transport Secretary Grant shapps at 7. 30am. You Secretary Grant shapps at 7. 30am. Might want to g you you might want to Get In touch if you have any issues, i know It is a complicated sItuation at the moment, let us know. The Nhs Covid App for england and wales could be updated to make It less sensItive. In the last week ofjune, more than 300,000 people were pinged and asked to self isolate, the highest weekly figure this year by a considerable margin. The Department Of Health says It is vItal people are aware of their personal risk so they can make informed decisions on their behaviour. The risk of severe Illness Or Death from Covid I9 is extremely low in children and young people, according to new research. From March 2020 to february this year, 25 children and young people in england died directly from The Virus, out of an estimated 469,000 infections. 0ur Health Correspondent, naomi grimley, has more. Every day, we are learning more about Covid I9 and the latest research by four Ities'>English UniversIties throws light on how likely children are to suffer serious illness. The researchers looked back at the cases of 61 children who had died wIth a posItive Covid Test in the first year of the pandemic. They found that of those, 25 children Actually died directly from Covid I9 rather than the infection being coincidental. The most vulnerable children were those wIth complex neuro disabilIties. But, as wIth adults, other Risk Factors were identified in children whod been hospItalised, such as being obese, having comorbidIties like cardiovascular problems, or coming from non whIte ethnic backgrounds. The researchers suggest the overall risk of children and teenagers dying from Covid I9 is around one in half a million. We didnt see any deaths in children and young people who are often perceived to be at higher risk from respiratory infections, so there were no deaths in children who had asthma as a single diagnosis, no deaths in children who had cystic fibrosis, no deaths in children who had Trisomy 21 or down syndrome. And no deaths in children who had type one diabetes. The government is expected to announce soon whether It intends to vaccinate children. Currently advisers are studying data from the us and israel which have already decided to do that. Naomi grimley, Bbc News. The Olympic Flame has arrived in tokyo, hours afterjapan declared a State Of Emergency due to rising cases of coronavirus. WIth just two weeks to go until the games begin, spectators have been banned from all venues in and around the japanese capItal. Mariko 0i joins us now from tokyo. Good morning. In other circumstances, on this day, the flame arriving, two weeks ago, It would have been an extraordinary time. But in tokyo now, Its an extraordinary time for all sorts of other reasons, health and about how the games will work in practice. Indeed, charlie. The Torch Relay was supposed to start today in tokyo, not far from where i am staying, i am in quarantine of my parents before starting to cover the olympics. The decision was made a few days ago to cancel the Torch Ceremony Relay and replace It wIth a Flame Lighting Ceremony to be streamed online, partly because of the pandemic and because there is also strong public opposItion. A couple of days ago, women tried to extinguish the flame wIth a Water Pistol and got arrested, people still feel really strongly against the games going ahead in a global pandemic. The japanese government have declared a fourth State Of Emergency for the capItal, covering the entire duration of the olympics, and following that announcement, after talks between the government and officials, they announced that no spectators will be allowed inside the stadium, making this the first ever 0lympics the stadium, making this the first ever olympics to be held wIth behind closed doors. The japanese government has spent 25 billion, £18 billion, but will seek no financial benefIts from tourism because we are not allowing no overseas visItors, or Ticket Sales were spectators, and the brand new stadium that has been built is going to be empty. Stadium that has been built is going to be empty Frontline Care workers, supporting elderly or disabled people in england, need equivalent skills to Teaching Assistants and Ity-support'>Police CommunIty Support officers but are paid £7,000 per year less, according to research by integrated communIty care. The charIty says underfunding makes It difficult to recruIt staff. The government says It will publish plans to reform Adult Social Care by The End of the year. Heres our social affairs correspondent, alison holt. Shall we open some presents . Its tonys birthday today, and wIth his family unable to be wIth him, Its his Support Worker Amy who will be at his side throughout the day. I love myjob, i absolutely love myjob. And i always say to work in case you have to care, because you do. Tony has epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and he struggles to swallow. Amy has to monItor him closely and act quickly if needed. Stay awake. We need to celebrate, you cant celebrate if youre asleep. She has great responsibilIties but as a 22 year old, is paid just £8. 88 an hour. Ive Got Friends that work in retail that are getting upwards of £9, £10 per hour. And were not asking for, you know, rainbows and unicorns, were just asking to be appreciated and for our pay to reflect It. And todays report underlines the Pay Gap between Care Staff and otherjobs wIth equivalent demands. It found Care Workers were paid an average ofjust under £17,700 per year. Compared wIth the 24,600 average pay for similar roles like senior Teaching Assistants, and Ity-support'>Police CommunIty Support officers. The charIty that commissioned the research says that different is wrong. But Its boss maintains to change It, more money has to be spent by government on funding care. People find the work in Social Care incredibly rewarding, and they enjoy what theyre asked to do. But theyjust find that they cant survive and look after their own families on less than £18,000 per year and certainly thats the case if you are the main earner in the family. The government has said It will publish a plan for reform of the adult social Care System by The End of the year. Alison holt, Bbc News. The face of neptune, the Roman God Of Freshwater and the sea, appears to have made an appearance on the East Sussex Coast during a storm. 0h It works, doesnt It, this one . It absolutely 0h It works, doesnt It, this one . It absolutely works. The sighting of his face was captured by Bbc Photographer Jeff 0vers in newhaven on tuesday, as waves crashed over the harbour wall. Thats a dramatic picture anyway and then lo and behold, there It is. That put It into context, in case you didnt have an idea of who the God Neptune was. Strong links between infant mortalIty, Deprivation And Smoking during pregnancy have been identified by the uks First National database of Child Deaths. The uk has the second highest number of deaths of children underfive in europe, after malta. The Department Of Health says It will publish a new Tobacco Control Plan later this year, to protect babies from the harms of smoking. 0ur Health Correspondent Deborah Cohen reports. Hi. This is maddie. Shes healthy and happy despIte covid among her peers currently forcing her to isolate for a third time this nursery term. But her Mother Tierney had been smoking for Years when she fell pregnant, starting atjust14. At the time, not far off a quarter of rochdales Adult Population smoked. Smoking is strongly linked to deprivation. Everyone, really, was smoking. I come from an area where a lot of young people do smoke, as well. So i had the likes of my friends in school. If im honest, It wasnt discouraged not to smoke. The adults werent all, oh, dont smoke. It was, go behind the back of the Bike Sheds sort of thing. Smoking in a Childs Household is contributing to the uk having the second highest rate of deaths for children under five in western europe. Now, the countrys first ever national database of Child Deaths has been created. Our experts are trying to work out why so many children are dying and It is becoming clear that there is one word that cannot be ignored. That word is deprivation. This graph shows the poorer the background of a child, the more likely they are to die. The correlation is unmistakable and Its costing huge numbers of young lives. 23 of deaths are potentially avoidable, preventable if we can eliminate social deprivation. And that translates to 700 addItional deaths per year that could be avoided. Smoking in the household was identified as a factor in 226 Child Deaths studied. Thats more than any other modifiable factor. Exposure to passive smoke is linked to low Birth Weights and premature delivery. And the impact of parental smoking can lead to other childhood illnesses that run throughout life. Currently, 9. 5 of women in england are smoking when they give birth far more than the 6 target. Pre Pandemic Analysis shows that while 62 councils saw a fall in the numbers smoking when a baby was born compared to four Years earlier, 73 saw lIttle change, and 16 saw an increase in the rate of smoking. New figures covering the pandemic to suggest fewer women smoking at birth, but how reliable these data are, and whether they are anything more than a blip is unclear. Around one in ten women smoke now. Just the same as three orfour Years ago. And the Government Target was to reduce It to 6 or less by 2022. And we are nowhere near achieving that. It is midwife Nicola Pearsonsjob to visIt pregnant women in sheffield who are smokers. She will give everything to help them give up, but Its not simple. If you use an example of a pregnant woman. She lives maybe here in gleadless valley, shes got housing issues. So we might consider a team around the family, lets bring in her housing officer, lets think about how she can access tobacco. Thinking about cheap and illicIt tobacco availabilIty. So lets make sure Trading Standards are out there, kind of squashing down on that availabilIty. Whats clear, smoking is more than about personal responsibilIty. The government say they want a new office for Health Promotion to make smoking in pregnancy a focus. Deborah cohen, Bbc News. Lets Take A Look at todays papers. A warning over the uks afghan exIt is the headline on the front of the independent. And one of the most read stories over on the Ite'>Bbc WebsIte this morning is the news that sainsbury s has decided to discontinue all sales of cds and dvds. I wish i could say It will stay calm. Forthe i wish i could say It will stay calm. For the majorIty It will, wIth dry weather dominating and sunshine. We have to keep our eyes on the skies because thunderstorms will develop again. This morning, sunshine, also a fair bIt of cloud, also in the west. Showers in Eastern Scotland. Brightening up and then showers will develop, chiefly in central, eastern and england and parts of scotland. We will finish the day damp again towards parts of wales and south West England. Tonight Heavy Rain developing across the southern fringes of wales and the southern fringes of wales and the rest of south West England and into the channel islands. Showers continue into the night away from that. The chart for saturday shows the Weather Feature pushing along Southern England. It will make for a damp morning in southern areas. Some Heavy Rain at times. Away from It, cloud will break up. And then showers again, focused mainly across parts of north wales, north West England and western scotland. It will feel a lIttle bIt cooler. Sunday, low pressure pushes in towards the west. Gradually turning more cloudy and western areas wIth rain merging into longer spells of wet weather. Elsewhere, sunny spells, but a scattering of heavy and thundery showers. Scotland and North East England Bay is likely to see them. And as we go into monday, potential for low pressure that could bring significant rain across southern counties of england which could lead to disruption. There are questions over where It will develop but one to watch on monday. No sign of summer on the chart as we go through this weekend and into next week. Saturday, at the moment, womens Finals Day, rain up to early afternoon. Mens final day, should be dry, clouding over. And there could be rain in the evening as england take on Italy. The royal insItute of brItish archItects is calling for an end to this kind of demolItion, because It doesnt take into account the energy that was used to create the bricks, concrete and steel in the first place. 0ur Environment Correspondent Roger Harrabin reports. Another one gone. And another one gone. And another one bItes the dust. We cant keep knocking buildings down. In the uk we currently demolish around 50,000 buildings a year and we really must stop doing this. Whys that . Well, the answer is in this brick. It started life as a lump of clay. Imagine how much heat was needed to make the brick and the emissions created in the process. Now look behind me. How many bricks there . Hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, maybe. Who knows . But imagine the emissions created to make those bricks to create a building from them and then to knock them down and start again. Londons Hoover Building shows what can happen instead of demolItion. The Vacuum Cleaner Factory was transformed into apartments by archItects, including maria smIth. It takes so long to design a building, to create a building, to operate It. But we dont have that kind of time to make the changes that we need to in order to reduce our carbon footprint. Its so urgent that we act right now and that means changing the way we did , design things, the way we procure things. Right now, we have to stop demolishing things wIthout being really, really careful about It. If we are going to demolish something, how are we going to reuse every single part of that . But, still, developers often choose the Wrecking Ball rather than the refurbishment. ArchItects want a different approach. We need to think about It is an asset, what can we do wIth that as It . We do wIth that asset . If we cant do anything, then there may be a case to rebuild. And if we do rebuild, we have got to bear in mind that what we rebuild needs to be adaptable for future generations to reuse. We cannot assume any building is pulled down. DemolItion firms say dont blame us, blame the archItects themselves. It could benefIt from the input that weve had over X Number of Years to determine whether we can do anything or not wIth that building. And, equally, what cost there is to Actually do what It is that they might suggest. In hastings, this building has been rescued from the bulldozer. A former Newspaper Office being turned into flats and workspaces. The archItects say this is the way ahead. The government will publish a strategy on building soon. But It hasnt yet said whether It will put a halt to the Wrecking Ball. Roger harrabin, Bbc News. But cases are starting to rise there too, particularly in popular Holiday Destinations like spain, portugal and greece. Well be speaking to Transport Secretary Grant shapps at 7. 30am. The Nhs Covid App for england and wales could be updated to make It less sensItive. In the last week ofjune, more than 300,000 people were pinged and asked to self isolate. Our polItical Correspondent Vicki young joins us now from westminster. Good morning. So, isuppose the good morning. So, i suppose The Big Question is, Its going to change but how is It going to change . Look at the background but how is It going to change . Ij7f7< at the background all of this, whats happening is that we are approaching things in a very different way than we have at other points in this pandemic. Normally those cases going up mean that lockdown happens, and on this occasion, the opposIte is happening. So everything is opening up in england, and that of course means that we have more contacts. That in turn means that the app is singing an awful lot. It is causing huge disruption. It is always a Cause Destruction but the difference now is that many millions of people are It has always caused disruption at the difference now is that millions more people are vaccinated so they are less at risk. One idea is that you could make the app less sensItive so you have to be closer to someone for longer before you are pinged, but the other thing is that the app could contact someone and establish whether they are double vaccinated and say, instead of isolating a contest instead. The issueis isolating a contest instead. The issue is the they can test instead. The issue is the disruption, notjust in hospItalIty sector, where lots of owners saying they cannot open because they do not have enough staff because they are sick or isolating. All sectors such as the nhs, most nhs workers are double vaccinated but have to follow the same rules as everyone else so if they are in contact wIth someone wIth covid, they have to isolate. The rules do not change in isolating until the 16th Of August went double vaccinated people do not have to isolate but for many people that is a long way off. Isolate but for many people that is a long way off isolate but for many people that is a long way off. The risk of severe Illness Or Death from covid 19 is extremely low for young people, according to a new study by leading academics. Lets have a moment to talk about the weather. What a gorgeous picture. Yes, this picture caught my eye in the last few minutes. Plenty of cloud around at the moment across the country, but we will see across the country, but we will see a few showers cropped up and some could be thundery into the afternoon. We have got sunshine for some particularly in Northern England into the heart of england, across western areas of the country, particularly the Southwest And West wales, cloud, patchy rain and drizzle, a few showers in Eastern Scotland. Damn into the south West Sunshine developing across scotland It will be damp into the South West later. We will see some showers developing later in the afternoon. A few areas will see more than others, many of us will be dry but Slow moving downpours could develop across central and south Eastern Scotland in particular. More likely across the eastern half of england where we could see storms. The light winds mean if you catch a shower It will be ready for some time. EIther side, dry some sunshine. Dry wIth some sunshine. In eastern areas on the saturday morning, more wet weather on and off in the form of showers as we go through the weekend. But there will still be a bIt of sunshine. Frontline Care Workers, supporting elderly or disabled people in england, need equivalent skills to Teaching Assistants and Ity-support'>Police CommunIty Support officers but are paid £7,000 per year less, according to research by integrated communIty care. The charIty says underfunding makes It difficult to recruIt staff. The government says It will publish plans to reform Adult Social Care by The End of the year. Here s our social affairs correspondent, alison holt. Shall we open some presents . Its tonys birthday today, and wIth his family unable to be wIth him, Its his Support Worker Amy who will be at his side throughout the day. I love myjob, i absolutely love myjob. Im going to make sure that his medication is correct and sorted, and then prepare his breakfast so when hes up and hes been hoisted, we can get started wIth the day. As you can see, hes got a wide range of medication. Just because of the fact he has such complex needs. Ive still got to do loads of cleaning tasks, so ive got to do hoovering, mopping, dusting, polishing, sanItising, everything like that. As a 22 year old, shes paid just £8. 88 an hour. She says Care Workers pay needs to reflect the importance of the job. Compared wIth the £24,600 average pay for similar roles like senior Teaching Assistants, and Ity-support'>Police CommunIty Support officers. The charIty that commissioned the research says that difference is wrong. InItially, in a phase one, we say from the 19th ofjuly if you have been vaccinated in the uk and can prove It on the Nhs App, or Geta Paper in the uk and can prove It on the Nhs App, or get a Paper Version of that by calling 119, we will be able to accept that at the border for you to accept that at the border for you to return. We have a system of verification. I want to move to be able to recognise vaccinations from other countries who use World Health Organisation approved vaccines. The eu being obvious countries. We will work on that as quickly as possible but because It is easier to demonstrate Uk Vaccination and people can download the Nhs App to see their vaccine status, It is a start of phase one but i hope we will quickly move to phase two. What is quickly . I hope to give more detail in a couple of weeks. There is complexIty involved in accepting verification from other countries. It is easier from the eu because they create their own digItal passport and It is more complicated from other countries such as the us who do not have a digItised system. They have 50 systems for each state. That looks more complicated. We are working bilaterally wIth countries in the eu and elsewhere to try to be able to recognise Each Other s versions and verification. The able to recognise Each Others versions and verification. I think that means we will have to Carry On testing for the time being. We will see where the medical science goes from there. The reason we use Pcr Tests, they can be sequenced and when you sequence them you find out about variants of concern when you do that. The Uk Tests almost half the worlds sequencing, does half the worlds sequencing. We have been able to tell countries there is a variant of concern because we have been checking for the variant perhaps when they have not been. That means we have been able to move to this fourth stage or will be able to on the 19th ofjuly when that is confirmed next monday. We do still need to carry out tests. It is an acknowledgement. It is likely that all viruses continue to have variants and mutate so It is likely we will have to continue testing and checking and people expect us to do that to provide securIty. WIth a fifth of those in their 20s and one third in their 30s being Double Jabbed, your message to them in terms of the change to the rules . I am not going to sidestep this. The government has to make a judgment on these things and wIth the majorIty double vaccinated, we thought to waIt until every last person has been vaccinated before suggesting the 19th ofjuly for fully vaccinated people to travel on the Amber List would be wrong and disadvantaged people already vaccinated. It is a judgment call. Everybody is entItled to a vaccination. If you are over 18, please get that vaccination and get the second jab. It is important that we vaccinate everybody. It will not be too long before everyone has had the opportunIty to get the second vaccination and therefore be fully protected. I acknowledge your point. It does mean there is a differentiation and people will need to continue otherwise to follow the current regime, which is to quarantine and take a day two and day eight tests. It is quarantine and take a day two and day eight Tests Day eight tests. It is not fair but It is tough day eight tests. It is not fair but It is tough for day eight tests. We felt wIth the majorIty now of adults double vaccinated, to continue to prevent everybody from being able to see perhaps friends and family abroad they may not have seen a long time, let alone Go On holiday, would be the wrong thing to do. We are saying from the 19th, you will be able to travel if you have been double vaccinated. Plus 1a days, which is the minimum before you can return to the country. Stephen says he has been Double Jabbed wIth pfizer in Italy and have a documented english to prove It. Italy is currently a lower Risk Country than the uk. Why do i have to quarantine on arrival in the uk when double vaccinated people in the uk coming from Italy do not have to . This goes back to the problem we were talking about. We do not have a method of being able to certify his vaccination which is a Pfizer Vaccination which is a Pfizer Vaccination so It sounds like It is fine. We need to have a version of being able to automatically recognise that in the Passenger Locator Form that everybody feels in before they come to the uk or return to the uk. In fairly quick order we hope to be able to come to a posItion, particularly wIth the eu, where they are developing an app similar to the where they are developing an app similarto the nhs where they are developing an app similar to the Nhs App, which is recognised by 30 countries now, to do the same. The airlines are starting to integrate It into check in, so people will have been used to checking in before they leave on the Phone Or Computer before getting to the airport. Even if you are double vaccinated, you go to one of these countries and come back and dont have to quarantine, you still have to do a test and the reason they want to do that is to keep track of possible new variants coming into the country for example. The government recognise It is unfair but they dont want to hold everybody back until every single person is Double Jabbed. Then there is the issue of recognising the certificates from different countries, showing you have had a double vaccination. Having a programme. Its nearly 20 Years since the uk and other foreign forces entered afghanistan, in the wake of 9 11. There are concerns that the final milItary departure, led by the us, will leave the afghan government vulnerable to the taliban, who have been making gains. Our chief international Correspondent Lyse Doucet joins us now from kabul. Good morning. Some people here will be thinking to themselves how many Uk Troops are still there. Irate be thinking to themselves how many Uk Troops are still there. Uk troops are still there. We have to bear in mind Uk Troops are still there. We have to bear in mind the Uk Troops are still there. We have to bear in mind the us Uk Troops are still there. We have to bear in mind the us combat i Uk Troops are still there. We have | to bear in mind the us Combat Role ended many Years ago. For the last decade, It has been training as part of natos resolute support mission, bringing in many of the worlds most powerful milItary, including brItain. Now the question is whether some Uk Forces will stay by to protect the Embassy Compound or whether special forces could be on the ground to assist the afghan national securIty forces. The difficulty if not the danger is the taliban are insisting that under the us taliban deal of last year, the us agreed that all the trainers, contractors, troops, all the securIty forces would leave. They expected to go down to zero. They do not seem to buy the argument that It is normal if you have securIty forces protecting your own diplomatic property. These difficult discussions are still going on. Borisjohnson saying all brItish troops assigned to Natos Mission will be returning home. Yes. Troops assigned to Natos Mission will be returning home. Yes, pretty well all of them will be returning home. Yes, pretty well all of them have will be returning home. Yes, pretty well all of them have gone. Will be returning home. Yes, pretty well all of them have gone. You i will be returning home. Yes, pretty| well all of them have gone. You see some still around. The green zone, the highly fortified compound, a sprawling area including now most foreign embassies and a lot of top government buildings. There was a ceremony last friday that the last, It was announced, of the us led nato forces left the us s biggest milItary base. Those still here are very discreet presence. The top commander, general scott miller, he is still here. They say he is trying to hold the Hands of afghan securIty forces as this transItion to afghans being fully in control wIth some still western assistance as they take on the taliban, as they escalate attacks across the country. Many people may have been looking at Joe Bidens comments around this. He is a motive the way he has talked about It. He said that, would you send your Son Or Daughter . There is that edge, which is playing to his domestic audience. And then there is the realIty where you are. The predicament that country now faces, the real danger. You predicament that country now faces, the real danger. The real danger. You really picked u. The real danger. You really picked u on the real danger. You really picked up on something. The real danger. You really picked up on something. It the real danger. You really picked up on something. It is the real danger. You really picked up on something. It is very up on something. It is very emotionalforJoe Biden. He always said he always carried a card in his pocket that had the exact number of us forces, updated every day, who had died in iraq and afghanistan. In a speech last night he said we have been there so long even our sons and daughters of the troops who first served are now serving on Front Lines. What we heard from president Joe Biden last night is what we know that Vice President Joe Biden thought and senatorJoe Biden thought. In other words, thought and senatorJoe Biden thought. In otherwords, he thought and senatorJoe Biden thought. In other words, he has always felt afghanistan was a quagmire. That america should bring Its men and women home. He talked about nation build. He said we are not here to nation build. Afghans say what were you doing in the past 20 Years . You have been building schools, talking about democracy, helping to support womens activists. You helped to build a different society. You were leading us, just as the Teller Ban you are leaving us just as the taliban are leaving us just as the taliban are at their biggest strength. There is a fear here. Women tell us they were scared they cannot go into coffee shops. Having a cup of coffee wIth a male friend because the taliban will not allow It. That is what It comes down to here. Sometimes in afghanistan It is a big issue of securIty, terrorism threats. Sometimes, It is simply whether you can go out and safely have a cup of coffee wIth a friend. As we are talking to you we can hear the call to prayer behind you. It is adding to the atmosphere, the time the country is in. If you cast your eye forward now, how do you see It . It is such a painful time. My pain does not matter compared to the pain of afghans. I have been coming here more than 30 Years and regularly over the past month. The mood now at the beginning ofjuly is different from the mood in maine. Everyone you talk to, whether It is a shopkeeper trying to get sales for the day, a Government Minister charged wIth trying to bring peace. They are worried. About what happened to them and their families worried. About what happened to them and theirfamilies and worried. About what happened to them and their families and what will be the fate of their country. They often say in wars, the narrative of what is happening on the ground is as consequential as the events on the ground. The narrative is the Teller Ban our advances the taliban our advancing. And they are. Afghans have said for months, i am not leaving, i will stay here but now they are saying i am thinking about It now. And that will be the loss of the biggest achievement of the presence of international troops in afghanistan. They have created a society here, the best and brightest afghans have ta ken society here, the best and brightest afghans have taken educational opportunIties the world offered. The work experience. And when they are poised to play a role in their countrys future, already play, they now feel they have no choice to go where ever It will take them. Fascinating to hear your insight into Kabul And Afghanistan and what lies ahead. Thank you. Just as we saw in paris a couple of weeks ago when they believe they could win. A lot have watched him for Years and are in awe of him and do not believe they can win. It is whether the players can get a good start and go from there. It is a tough ask because It feels like he has always got an extra gear, djokovic, and has so much natural abilIty. He has managed to be pretty injury free over the Years because he is so flexible and naturally dynamic. You see him stretching wIth his legs over his head. I think he could pick up over his head. I think he could pick up any sport and be excellent at It. Unfortunately for the rest of the atp tour, he has picked tennis. You have been spending time at wimbledon doing commentary. You could see yesterday she was slicing, coming forward. She took time away from the sport a couple of Years and played professional cricket. She is another one who could pick up any sport and be great at It. She has been better and better as the tournament has gone on. I did not feel she started well, because she picked up an injury a couple of weeks ago. She has gained Confidence And Match tightness as the tournament has gone on and played her best yesterday against Angelique Kerber, when she had to lift her level. Almost similar to her opponent, tomorrow, pliskova, who is a dark horse going into the tournament because she dropped out of the top ten for the first time in a longtime but has been Number One in the world before. Such a big ball striker. She played a fantastic Match Yesterday and held her nerve to serve It out. Ash barty does lead the head to head but i think in a grand slam final, all of that goes out the window and It is who could manage the pressure on the day. Laura, well done. While many will stay dry today wIth sunshine around, he prepared dark cloud could loom in the afternoon and there could be thunderstorms like yesterday. But slightly different areas. Cloudy across western parts at the moment. Rain and drizzle will become more of a feature later in the day. Berkey in scotland. Temperatures in the low 20s murky scotland. There is not much wind and when showers form they will sIt wIth you a while. EIther side can be completely dry all day long. Tonight, a different story. Wet weather in the South West and wales and channel islands. A warm start tomorrow. This Weather Feature will bring persistent rain across Southern England and south wales on saturday. Starting in the South West. The rain pushing east. Eventually easing from the South East late afternoon and then a story of sunshine and showers across the country. Most likely across western scotland, north West England and North West wales and parts of the midlands. Temperatures down on today but pleasant when the sun is out. Into sunday, showers fade. But more wet weather around On Sunday as low pressure pushes in. The South East might avoid the wet weather most of the day. Longer spells of rain in the west later. And also showers in Scotland And North east england. On monday, watch this area of low pressure. A question about how It will develop but sides we could see huge amounts of rainfall across parts of Southern England and east anglia. We could see over a months of rainfall in a short space of time. No, i will see you next week. 50,000 buildings are knocked down in the uk every year and replaced by new more eco friendly homes and offices. The royal insItute of brItish archItects is calling for an end to this kind of demolItion, because It doesnt take into account the energy that was used to create the bricks, concrete and steel in the first place. Our Environment Correspondent Roger harrabin reports. Another one gone. And another one gone. And another one bItes the dust. We cant keep knocking buildings down. In the uk, we currently demolish around 50,000 buildings a year and we really must stop doing this. Its so urgent that we act right now and that means changing the way we design things, the way we procure things. Right now. We have to stop demolishing things wIthout being really, really careful about It. If we are going to demolish something, how are we going to reuse every single part of that . But, still, developers often choose the Wrecking Ball rather than the refurbishment. ArchItects want a different approach. We need to think about It is an asset, what can we do wIth that asset .
