To bring that happiness and to bring that excitement and continue the journey for another four days, we are here until The End and we did not want to go home yet and we know we have got everybody with us. Uefa has charged england after a Laser Pointer was directed at Denmark Keeper Kasper schmeichel during Last Nights match just before Harry Kane took this extra time penalty. People who are dying will be able to access Welfare Support more quickly, under Government Plant to allow those with a Terminal Illness to receive benefits six months earlier than they do now. The Olympic Games in tokyo are to be held without spectators due to rising cases of coronavirus. The queen pays a visit to the Coronation Street set to mark 60 years of the soap. People in England Whove had both doses of a Covid Vaccine will be allowed to travel to Amber List countries without needing to quarantine when they return. The Transport Secretary Grant shapps has told the commons that the changes will take effect on july 19th. Other nations are yet to comment whether they will follow england. Heres our Transport Correspondent Caroline davies one jab, two jabs, no jab for the last few months it has made no difference to the rules you have to follow when you travel from another country to The Uk. That depends on the Traffic Light System and whether the country you are coming from is green, amber or red, but things are about to change. From the 19th ofjuly, anyone fully vaccinated does not need to quarantine when they travel from Amber List countries to england but they will still need to take a test before they travel and another Pcr Test on arrival. Under 18s wont need to quarantine at all. Under as will not need to take any test. 5 11 will take a Pcr Test after they arrive. 11 17 year olds will need to take a Predeparture Test and a Pcr Test. For now, this is only open to those jabbed in The Uk. It is notjust of course about holidays, eager as we are, im sure, for time in the sunshine, but this is also about reuniting families who have been apart throughout this pandemic. Its about helping businesses to trade and grow and its about supporting aviation, a sector which Hundreds Of Thousands Ofjobs rely on. At the moment, most countries in The World are on the Amber List including spain, greece and the usa, and the industry is hoping bookings will now go up for summer trips. I think its a huge step in the right direction and perfect timing for all of those people who booked a holiday in 2019 and could not take it in 2020 and had it transferred to this year and have been sitting there with their fingers crossed. But it is not the news some were hoping for. Melanie lives in california and has not seen her daughter since she left for Drama School in london. Before christmas, melanie s husband died and her daughter could not come back for her fathers funeral. Melanie cannot quarantine because of her work and because she has been vaccinated in the us, for now, she is not included in this policy. Its just heartbreaking. Sorry. Everything keeps being road blocked in some way. What would it mean to you if the rules were changed . It would mean everything. I miss her so much. Were best friends. Its like missing my right arm, you know, its very difficult. I want to see her more than anything. The government has said it will look at whether it is possible to phase in People Jabbed in other countries over the summer. Some are still urging caution about opening up. We can open travel but we have to have the right safety measures in place, such as a good testing regime, to capture people who bring the virus back from their holidays, with other souvenirs. This is about what happens when entering The Uk, whether other countries will let Uk Travellers in is a different matter. The new policy will change International Travel this summer but there will also be questions about what happens to all of those people who are not fully vaccinated, who may feel left behind. Caroline davies, bbc news. Im joined now by luke petherbridge, director of Public Affairs at the travel body abta. Good evening. Your thoughts about what has been announced today first . I think this is a very positive step for an industry that has a difficult 60 month and if you look at the current grimaced its 7 of trade and being able to have the countries open to those who are fully vaccinated will be a very positive means to Travel Agents and operators and those dependent on those beings. And there is every sense that they demand is absolutely fair . Yes. And there is every sense that they demand is absolutely fair . Demand is absolutely fair . Yes. I think there demand is absolutely fair . Yes. I think there are demand is absolutely fair . Yes. I think there are huge demand is absolutely fair . Yes. I think there are huge Levels Demand is absolutely fair . Yes. I think there are huge levels of. Think there are huge levels of pent up demand people have not been able to get away for a while. Its about visiting friends and relatives overseas and there a huge demand for travel of the people will be able to do that without the need for Self Isolation and we are confident that we will see bookings rise. I am interested we will see bookings rise. I am interested in we will see bookings rise. I am interested in your we will see bookings rise. I am interested in your take we will see bookings rise. I am interested in your take on we will see bookings rise. I am interested in your take on how clear the rules are because its quite hard to keep up with all of these. Access any very hard to remember which countries are on which list and then be particularly talk about the list. Because thats one of the things theyve been focused on today. You have even got that situation where it might be allowed in practical terms, you might have had both of your vaccines but the Foreign Office might advise against travel to that country for example. I wonder what you think of that as an industry body, the fact that an individual really has to do a lot of research to work out exactly which rules apply in which country. I think its a really good reason to use a Travel Expert to be honest, whether that be a Travel Agent at this time. Yes, the rules can be complicated but there are people who can help you to navigate and you can try and explain where Foreign Office advised it in place versus the Traffic Light Regime which advice to your returning to The Uk. Theres plenty that people can use and again to book with another Travel Agent or Tour Operator. Ibm;e to book with another Travel Agent or Tour Operator Tour Operator. By chance, ust as i was talking Tour Operator. By chance, ust as i was talking to h Tour Operator. By chance, ust as i was talking to you fi Tour Operator. By chance, ust as i was talking to you about Tour Operator. By chance, just as i was talking to you about that, Tour Operator. By chance, just as i was talking to you about that, we | was talking to you about that, we have had a bit more detailfrom our Transport Correspondent making the point in brief that the front office has told the bbc that not all amber countries will be approved for International Travel. So, countries will be approved for internationaltravel. So, it is tricky for the consumers or at least they certainly have two books in full knowledge, dont they . They really have to research and know what they are doing. What they are doing. Yes, its incredibly what they are doing. Yes, its incredibly important what they are doing. Yes, its incredibly important that what they are doing. Yes, its incredibly important that consumers check the Travel Advice before they travel and check advices and you should be in that country and eight is also important for the industry thats with the News Today and that government relaxing these you he was for vaccinated individuals that the Foreign Office starts to take a personnel based approach so it is clear that if you are fully vaccinated thought that year risks are different to those vaccination and we need the Foreign Office advised to take account of 0ffice advised to take account of that as well going forward. find Office advised to take account of that as well going forward. And what do ou, that as well going forward. And what do you. What that as well going forward. And what do you. What is that as well going forward. And what do you, what is your that as well going forward. And what do you, what is your take that as well going forward. And what do you, what is your take on that as well going forward. And what do you, what is your take on the do you, what is your take on the argument that some of this is a little unfair to people who, for whatever reason have not been able to get their two doses of the vaccine yet, the bit that is obligatory. Some people feeling left out or left behind and some of them for genuine reasons may not have been able to have a vaccine. What for genuine reasons may not have been able to have a vaccine. What is our take been able to have a vaccine. What is your take on been able to have a vaccine. What is your take on that . Been able to have a vaccine. What is your take on that . I been able to have a vaccine. What is your take on that . I think been able to have a vaccine. What is your take on that . I think everybody wants to get people travelling again and we now we want many people to be able to travel as possible but there are hundreds ofjobs dependent on the Travel Industry across The Uk and its an industry that contributes £14 billion of those who are able to travel we should move those quicker to enable those businesses that are out there that had a very tough time at levels that will be sustainable moving forward cell is an important step that we can recognise that the aim is to get travel back to something approaching normality. And of course the use of testing and their regime does enable more people to travel and its important to get my destinations onto that grimaced so you dont have to be fully vaccinated in order to skip Self Isolation and of course the use of testing means its possible to do that. The use of testing means its possible to do that. Thank you for our time possible to do that. Thank you for your time for possible to do that. Thank you for your time for now. Possible to do that. Thank you for your time for now. We possible to do that. Thank you for your time for now. We will possible to do that. Thank you for your time for now. We will talk. Your time for now. We will talk again thank you for now. The wait is finally over, and England Fans are daring to dream after a dramatic extra time 2 1win against denmark in the Semi Finals of the euros. The crucial goal was scored by captain, Harry Kane, after the ball rebounded from his missed penalty. More than 25 Million people watched the action on tv, making it one of the most watched broadcasts in the last decade. England now face italy at Sunday'>Wembley On Sunday in their first major mens final since 1966. But celebrations have been slightly marred today as footballs european governing body, uefa, has opened disciplinary proceedings against england after a Fan Shone a Laser Pen towards the Denmark Goalkeeper during a critical moment. 0ur sports correspondent, andy swiss, was watching last Nights Game sweet caroline. A night for heroes and for history. Sweet caroline has surely never sounded sweeter. At last, a majorfinal beckons for england and whether it was the players on the pitch, or the supporters, the emotion and the elation were plain to see. Coming home oh, its fantastic. Im amazed, i neverthought they would get this far. Its coming Home I Cant believe it. But earlier, what Nerve Shredding Tension as englands optimism was soon silenced. Mikkel damsgaard brilliantly putting denmark in front. But soon england were level. England had to hit back quickly. That is what england have done. But the fans could only watch and hope as it went into extra time. Finally, though, this challenge on raheem sterling, was it a penalty . Crucially, the referee thought so and up stepped Harry Kane. Schmeichel saves. Kane is there to follow in delight for england although not without further controversy. Replays suggested a Laser Pen had been pointed from the stands at Kasper Schmeichel but after 55 years of english heartache, this was a night and a result which meant everything. Amazing night for this country, for the players, the staff. Our first final at a European Championship and to be at wembley, its a real special occasion. Credit to the boys, we dug deep, got the job done but lets recover well and get ready for the next one. Its very much the morning after the night before here at wembley but come Sunday, the fans will be back in their thousands hoping to see england take one final step to greatness. Even their manager, normally so calm and composed, was showing his passion Last Night. Gareth southgate has united players and supporters on what has already been some journey. Hes given everyone a bit of hope, something to cling on to. Cos it has been such a difficult 18 months for everyone and whatever happens on Sunday, and we all have our fingers crossed that england can go and win this, but whatever happens he should feel very, very proud. And just in case youd forgotten, not since the 1966 World Cup have england won a major trophy, but decades of disappointment have now been replaced by hope. This is for the next generation now. Any young people watching this, tune in and enjoy it and fingers crossed, we can do it. But this is a very good italian team, make no mistake, but we have the ability to beat them. So now only italy stand between england and that elusive glory. Football is Coming Home, they say. Well, it has never been closer. Have you been there a very long time . Hello again from wembley where some, what we know about that. Hello again from wembley where some, has what we know about that. Hello again | from wembley where some, has been restored. That incident involving that Laser Pan directed towards the face of the danish gold danish goalkeeper aimed at second half Last Night and left a sour note after what came to pass Last Night. The way for officials and the faa carried out some investigations when it became apparent that penn was being used at that stage of the match but could not find the person is possible that it has led to that charge from uefa to the English Fa following what unfolded here and its something that will now be investigated by the way for the disciplinary board but it certainly was an unfortunate incident Last Night and it was not the only incident as well to unfold of course with the bullying which was witnessed during the Danish National Anthem. Something that was criticised by borisjohnson as well apart from the bullying, the incident involving the Laser Pan was obviously an unfortunate last Night And Something which we will investigate further but certainly from those investigations Last Night when it happened at the Fda And Ua i think they could not find the person responsible at the time. More think they could not find the person responsible at the time. Responsible at the time. More to come. It responsible at the time. More to come it did responsible at the time. More to come. In terms of trying to look ahead and look to Sunday-evening'>Sunday Evening if we dare. I dont know, evening if we dare. I dont know, even i am nervous and that says quite a lot. It is interesting that this sort of nerves and next few days . It is interesting that this sort of nerves and i i next few days . It is interesting that this sort of nerves and i guess thats what happens when you see Ingram Performing In the later stages of a major tournament and i guess as left and make it into the final thats an Experience None of us have felt for a long time and being a major tournament like this brings the nation together and that was certainly something you got a feel of yesterday in the stadium with so many different flags on people all over the country that came together for this match and we saw people and the millions watching at home and across the Country And Beer gardens with those Record Tv figures we saw Last Night and its a unique moment, a very special occasion and one which arguably gives england the best possible chance to emulate the achievements of that 1966 World Cup winning side. Theyre not going to have a better opportunity when you consider the list and then england and Garrick Southgate will be back here on Sunday to play in front of 60,000 fans and it would be the majority of those England Fans who of course would be outnumbering the italian fans many of whom were unable to fly over because of the Quarantine Restrictions in place so they will be outnumbered. Something the italian manager is a little frustrated about and setting he made reference to that when they face the semifinals and he was saddened that it was 30,000 Spanish Pounds and it will become the final but it will make for a very special occasion and very hard to split these two teams when you consider that italy have fared better when it comes to this tournament, they have won it once before and they reach the final on two occasions and for england this is the first time they have ever competed in a major mens European Championship match no. Gareth southgate seems very good at keeping his Players Speech on the ground and he seems to have got every decision on and off the peach right throughout this tournament and its interesting as well they conceded a goal for the first time i can Last Night against what was the night of high drama here and that will serve england well perhaps. Maybe they needed the tenants to see when they were tested in this tournament and they were Last Night and they came through and i think they are further tests inevitably to come against a telly who will be a tough opposition its fair to say but a very special night and one of Course Libby again on Sunday and i wonder how people will be gearing up for that because as i see there has been some, but that Hype And Hysteria is only going to build as the edge closer to that final on Sunday. To build as the edge closer to that final on Sunday. Thank you very much for now. Borisjohnson Boris Johnson says borisjohnson says most british troops have pulled out of afghanistan by The Uk will keep a small presence in kabul. It comes as britains most Senior General has warned that afghanistan could slide into civil war, once foreign troops are out of the country. Mrjohnson said The Uk was not turning its back on afghanistan. I hope that No One will leap to the false conclusion that the withdrawal of our forces somehow means The End of Britains Commitment to afghanistan. We are not about to turn away, nor are we under any illusions about the perils of Todays Situation and what may lie ahead. Jack cummings is a Fromer Bomb Disposal specialist, who served two tours in afghanistan with the 101 engineer regiment. He gave us this reaction to the news. To me it is not a job well done. I dont know if he would have ever gotten the job done but i dont know if he would have ever gotten thejob done but i dont think it was a job done. He lost on the tour and to Me Us putting out isjust, it is ijy to Me Us putting out isjust, it is by i think, especially as well all of the guys and girls as well so, yes, obviously its gone way above our Pay Grade and someone above us, we influence that but my personal view is definitely that, as they say i am trying to make the most of My Life and i am positive and i am happy to be here and etc but deep down. For more lets speak now to the chair of the foreign affairs select committee, tom tugendhat. You may know himself served in afghanistan. Good afternoon to you. You might not have been able to see the young man that he spoke to who had similarly served in afghanistan but i have to say he looked and sounded quite upset about this decision and i hope i am not misrepresenting him but that is such a highly came across to me and i am interested whether you feel similarity. I left many friends who did not come back when when they did come back i went to see their graves. I did not see theirfriends. It went to see their graves. I did not see their friends. It is really upsetting. Its a very difficult decision to understand. We are not putting out in combat because he had been beaten. Effectively we are sustaining or at least up until recently we are sustaining 400,000 afghan troops in combat able to look after themselves unable protect themselves with only 10,000 nato troops of whom only 750 were british. It feels like we pulled the rug out from under the afghans. The Prime Minister says The Uk is not turning its back on afghanistan. Well, do you feel that is just not the case . I am sure that the factors that went into this decision and i dont pretend that this was an easy decision for the prime Minister Orfor the defence easy decision for the Prime Minister or for the Defence Secretary who i know has been and shares many of my views on this but the reality is 10,000 troops is a lot but Global Britain should be able to bring together an alliance of 10,000 that does not include the united states and consists to sustain operations otherwise the tragedy is that our entire foreign Policy And God bless america which is not the kind of Foreign Policy that matches that the ambitions of british people. And what are your specific concerns for the country itself once all the foreign troops have left . We know already that areas that spoke to antigovernment forces that the taliban is not a single thing, its a coalition of branded groups who call themselves something else and whenever the government calls on these areas are loses control of an area womens rights and anybody who is cooperating with the government and works with the forces is exposed and works with the forces is exposed and vulnerable and so we need to make sure we look after those who work with us and stay in touch with their friends who i worked with and it hurts very much that we want to be looking after those in need. I take your point that you say its not about you personally but you clearly lost friends and comrades in that country and its a horrible, horrible thought to engage with but do you have concerns that some of those Men And Women died for no good reason . The most serious one came in the first period of extra time, from somebody in the crowd putting a Laser Pen towards the keeper as he was preparing to face that penalty that Harry Kane eventually scored. He saved it and then Harry Kane got the winning rebound. Also taking a very dim view of the booing of the Danish National Anthem at the start of the match. There was more booing for the german game in the last 16, did not bring any charges towards england then but they have done on this occasion. Also the setting off of some players as well. So three charges brought against england, the Danish Fa saying they cannot find the culprit with this Laser Pen and if they dont want that to go any further. Talk to you more about the headlines stories. News the cancer only in the last hour or so with the announcement for the government that is making it easier, trying to make it easierfor government that is making it easier, trying to make it easier for people who are towards The End of their life to access Welfare Support. The government announced it is scrapping whats known as the six Month Rule and replacing it with a 12 Month Rule. Tomlinson is the ministerfor disabled people held at work and says it means people who can show that they have 12 months or if you were to live will now get quick and easy access to financial support. Lets hear some of his announcement. First they want to pay tribute to all the different Health And Disability stakeholders who have helped support this two year review. And we had a commitment to scrap the six Month Rule and we had set out our plans to improve awareness for this fast track scheme, improve consistency and as i said to scrap the six Month Rule. This is a system that for those they get that devastating news around a Terminal Illness that they can have the fast Track Access to different dwp benefits was much quicker and where time is precious than is absolutely essential. What we will be doing is looking to match the Nhs Definition of Terminal Illness and so moving from the six Month Definition to 12 months. From the sixMonth Definition to 12 months. From the sixMonth Definition to 12 months. , . ,. , months. Expending the efforts of those changes months. Expending the efforts of those changes that months. Expending the efforts of those changes that the months. Expending the efforts of i those changes that the government is bringing in. Marquis hughesjoined me, hes been living with a terminal diagnosis for 11 years in fact. Hello and a very good afternoon to you. Thank you so much for agreeing to speak to us. For those who dont know you, dont know your situation, would you mind just explaining your situation and believe you have to up work at some point and explain the relevance of that as well . Itare work at some point and explain the relevance of that as well . Ive been livint with relevance of that as well . Ive been living with Cancer Relevance of that as well . Ive been living with cancer for relevance of that as well . Ive been living with cancer for 22 relevance of that as well . Ive been living with cancer for 22 years i relevance of that as well . Ive been living with cancer for 22 years and l living with cancer for 22 years and i was a long Distance Truck Driver so i was working 15 hours a day and working away from home for long periods of time. It was not a job for me, its a hobby i enjoyed doing and then in late 2010 i was given the devastating news that i had six months to live. That actually then come as you can see, im still here but i am still with a terminal diagnosis. The actual problem that happened with me as you can imagine my wife dealt with all the things and when youre what wife or loved one has been given a diagnosis that her loved one is going to pass away in six months you got to go and fill in six months you got to go and fill in endless forms. The forms then carried on with different ones can you send them back and then you get a letter saying sorry you dont need this form, but you spent some hours filling it in and this went on for good six months and then a charity came in and sorted out my benefits straightaway, full benefits. The following day i got a pension and my benefits within cut by half. I did exactly what the government had told me but because my savings were over 60,000 i was automatically penalised. We had the department come around and they didnt even know that i was terminally ill. And that i had the dreaded Home Visit and to answer the questions honestly as you are supposed to, and can you eat in because i said that yes i could buy benefits were then stopped. 0n could buy benefits were then stopped. On appeal when i did appeal the verdict i did ask the assessor, do you check with hospitals and gps . The answer was no and they basically go with the person that is being assessed. Purserwas go with the person that is being assessed. Purser was not more than 20, she was not a medical person. My benefits were then bumped straight up benefits were then bumped straight up with a letter saying we will not bother you until 2025 unless your circumstances change. 2017, a letter arrived from the dwp asking me the same thing can be to fill this form and, i contacted the dwp and they knew nothing about the form but knowing what they put my wife and myself through it decided to fill the form and it stated i had until december 31. The form and it stated i had until december31. It the form and it stated i had until december 31. It had not even started filling the dwp had stopped my benefits. We contacted the dwp and even had a Minister Contact me because she knew the situation and she came back to me and said we cant find the problem from your benefits are being paid. Now, none of this should happen. You benefits are being paid. Now, none of this should happen. Of this should happen. You have described a of this should happen. You have described a system of this should happen. You have described a system that of this should happen. You have described a system that is, i of this should happen. You have described a system that is, well, | described a system that is, well, clearly highly bureaucratic and also very distressing at a time when you are clearly having cancer treatment. A lot of questions here and i wonder whether people listening to you will think at the outset you could not work because of your treatment and you were therefore entitled to some benefits. Display all the bureaucracy you have described couldnt your oncologist or your consultant or your gp write a letter to say that you were clearly a very unusual situation and lay it out and just explain it to the Powers That Be consider my gp actually did write a letter to the dwp and his words were, well I Cant sit a last word, what part of terminal do you people not understand . I think that says it all, the words terminal state that im going to die and i think to have to explain to somebody on a telephone that im going to die and then have these cruel assessments is inhumane to be quite honest. And, you are going to document you got the worry of an illness that you dont know how long you have left to live and youve got the worry of fighting the dwp for benefits. Im a strong person, thats why im is standing up for people now, and the thousands of people that are still got this that will happen to them, which there will be thousands. And this needs to change because they are treating us inhumanely. They are not giving us any dignity whatsoever. Itjust seems as though its about Pound Signs as i have said before. Ifelt as its about Pound Signs as i have said before. I felt as though its about Pound Signs as i have said before. Ifelt as though i had a on my back and even though my problem at the moment is sorted, every time an envelope drops to that door of my first thought is what do they want now . And that should not be communal, i should not be having to deal with that. Nobody should be dealing with that. We have the right to die with dignity but we also have the right to have full benefits because we paid the taxes and to cut off your benefits because i had Savings Over 16,000, i think that is wrong as well. And i think that i do hope is that mr thomas, i hope you will work with us to help make the system better and more fairfor terminally ill people because we have enough to deal with and he forgets about the Family Members and what they have to go through as well. Because they are living through this nightmare twice. There living for the nightmare while im still alive and then theyve got to go through all the again when i die. Thank you very much for speaking to us. We send you our very best wishes. Thank you. A scathing inquiry into three nhs scandals published last year, concluded that thousands of women came to avoidable harm, after their concerns around some medical treatments were ignored by the Health Service. The Cumberlege Review looked into the use of pelvic mesh, anti epilepsy drugs and Hormone Pregnancy tests. Now a year on, there are renewed calls for its recommendations to be implemented to avoid further suffering. Our Health Correspondent Anna Collinson reports. Three Health Treatments intended to improve womens lives, but instead ruined many of them. There are the women living with debilitating pain after having pelvic mesh fitted. The pain, i would be in tears with. It was so severe. There are the pregnant mothers, never warned taking the Epilepsy Drug Sodium valproate could harm their unborn babies. Felt guilty for so long, didnt i . Yeah, you felt as if it was your fault. Idid. And theres the hormonal pregnancy test, primodos. Its manufacturer denies any link with birth defects, but hundreds of families campaigning for decades disagree. I mean, iam now 75. So my thoughts are, how much longer can i carry on doing this . A year ago today, a damning review about the Health Services treatment of female patients was released including nine recommendations. The first happened straightaway. I want to issue a full apology to the. To those who have suffered. But 12 months on, most of baroness cumberleges suggestions havent happened. Im very angry and frustrated. A year is a huge length of time for people who are suffering. Its time that they implemented all our recommendations. Your review concluded thousands of women had been ignored by the Health Service for decades. Do you think theyre being heard now . Weve heard too often that women have said, weve been dismissed, weve been told, its all in our heads. And so i hope that the culture will change and that the patients will always be foremost in the care that they receive. Payment schemes for victims was a key recommendation, but so far, nothing has been confirmed. All three children in this family were born with Health And Learning problems after their mum took sodium valproate. Their parents fear for their future without financial support. When the buffer of Mum And Dad have gone, you know, its going to be sort of, its going to be the oldest daughter to try and take on that responsibility. Which she shouldnt have to do, shes got her own problems. But what do you do . Some of the recommendations are being implemented. Patient safety commissioners, intended to be a voice for the public s concerns, are being appointed, and some Specialist Mesh centres have been set up. After years of waiting, alison went to one in leicester to have her mesh removed, a complicated operation. Its very difficult to get out, they liken it to getting Chewing Gum out of hair. Once a keen runner, alison now dreams of taking her dog for a long walk. I know that i may never get back to the person i was. But any improvement on how i was has got to be a good thing. After waiting so long for the Cumberlege Review, those who fought to be heard fear efficient action will not be taken. It will be, well, how much is it going to cost . What can we get away with . And that really is betraying all future patients of the nhs, which is a disgrace. That was marie lyon, ending our report by Anna Collinson. More than 60,000 fans were allowed into wembley stadium itself for the game of course. And millions who couldnt make it to london or could not get a Ticket Act out pubs, Fans Zones and living rooms across the country. As a simonjones now reports. Wild cheering. Pure joy on the streets of london. Accompanied by more than just a little relief. Even if getting home after the Match Wasnt proving easy. Cheering. In newcastle, the final whistle signalled confirmation that england had made the final. And in preston, a familiar refrain. Footballs Coming Home. It means The World to me, The World. The absolute world to me. Its Coming Home what a team, though. The team spirit. Theyre everything. They believed it and they never gave in, did they . In croydon, celebrations as the goals went in, followed by a party that went on long into the night and fans already looking forward to Sunday and that clash with italy. Were in a final, england in a final for the first time in, who cares how many years . There is a sense that Last Nights win is what the country has been crying out for. Whod have thought this six months ago in the depths of the Coronavirus Pandemic . This isjust what the country needed. Absolutely brilliant. Absolutely fantastic. This is a team that has caught the countrys imagination. One of its biggest stars, mason mount, even found time to give his shirt to an adoring fan. Praise, too, from the Prime Minister. It was just euphoric, absolutely extraordinary. So i congratulate Gareth Southgate and the whole team. I thought they were stunning. And, obviously, wishing them all the best for Sunday. And this morning at raheem sterlings former Primary School in The Shadow of wembley, despite the late night, the potential stars of the future were feeling inspired. Hes a role model. His Work Ethic is amazing. Even in the 117th minute, he was running down players, making them tired, you know . Hes just that sort of player. He never gives up. Spare a thought for the Danish Fans. Their side gave so much but it wasnt enough. 0ne Family from copenhagen with a danish mum and an English Dad held a party with mixed emotions. I cant lie, i was mostly on the danish side because it is my mother country. So i was hoping for the danish win. But i wasnt angry at the english team. They played well. And it was nice also, if we had only been danish people in the house it would have been, hm, but it was happy to see the other guys happy, so it was a party anyway. And this was englands moment, something to savour before the players and the fans do it all again in just three days time. Simon jones, bbc news. More than 60,000 fans were allowed into good afternoon. Were heading towards the middle of the summer now and the weather seems to be stuck in a bit of a pattern of sunshine and showers at the moment. But we have got some Blue Sky and some sunshine out there. This is the picture in gravesend in kent, taken recently by one of our weather watchers. The Shower Cloud is building through the remainder of the day, and in fact, over the next few days, we are going to keep that theme. Sunny spells and scattered showers. Low pressure not far away. Its sitting off to the east. We got a ridge of slightly higher pressure trying to build in and squeeze away those showers, but certainly through the rest of the afternoon, into the evening, parts of england and wales, particularly towards the east, will see a few of those scattered showers. At wimbledon, i think most of them should stay towards the north so temperatures around about 22 celsius or so as we head through the early evening, and it should stay dry. Just an outside chance of a passing shower. A few heavy showers, too, for Eastern Scotland for a time. They should largely fade away, most places are becoming dry with clear Spells Tonight and temperatures down to between 12 14 celsius. A little bit of Showery Rain into the far South West first thing friday morning. It will be cloudier across western and northern parts of the Uk Tomorrow with a few spots of drizzly rain. Central and eastern parts of england tending to brighten up with sunny spells, but similar to recent days, we are going to see those Afternoon Showers bubbling up, and they could be quite slow moving and heavy per parts of Eastern England and Eastern Scotland. There is a small risk of some localised flooding around because the showers are not moving through in a hurry. And pollen levels are also going to be high or very high across much of england, wales, southern scotland, northern ireland, too. Just moderate across central and northern scotland. But into friday evening, still some of these really heavy showers with thunder, Lightning And Hail across eastern areas. They will slowly fade away overnight on friday and into the weekend as well. Butjust in time for the weekend, this next area of low pressure arrives from the South West. It looks like thats going to affect southern parts of england and wales initially on saturday. Quite heavy, persistent rain, too. Slowly clearing eastwards. Then we are left with another day of sunshine and hit and miss heavy, scattered downpours as well. Most likely across parts of Eastern Scotland, Eastern England, too. But we will see some of them cropping up further west later in the day. Probably a little bit drier for northern ireland, and temperatures generally down a notch on recent days, perhaps into the low 20s. It remains unsettled. More rain towards the north on Sunday. And further showers into the new working week. Bye bye. At six jetting off abroad becomes easierfor the double jabbed as the government changes its travel rules. From july 19th, anyone in england whos fully vaccinated can travel to an Amber Country without having to quarantine on return. Its lift off for The Uks Travel Industry as airlines start adding dozens more destinations for the summer. It is massive news and we should see a great you know pick up in bookings and many millions of customers who have been looking forward to going overseas, either on holiday or to visit family, can finally realise that and get away in time for the summer holidays. Well have all the details. Also tonight
