Presumably the Secretary Of State does have data that he will share with us so we can understand his confidence about where we will be on the 19th ofjuly, but i have to say, i have learned through the pandemic to be rather cautious about predicting The Future. And i am announcing today that we are going to change the law retrospectively to give every Home Owner 15 years in which to take action against the people who built their building, if there is shoddy workmanship. But some flat owners say this wont help them. This building in sheffield is set to receive £6 Million from the governments building Safety Fund for Cladding removal. However, to fix other Fire Safety defects, the leaseholders still face another £6 Million in bills, an average of £50,000 each. Willis one of them. I welcome it.
