Lancashire police have just released a statement to say that detectives and Gas Experts have discovered that the cause of the explosion was that a Gas Pipe had been cut inside number 20, and the force says its no treating this as a criminal investigation, and enquiries continue into how the pipe came to be cut. They say their thoughts are first and foremost with the family of the child who died and his loved ones, but its very much an ongoing investigation, say the police.
