Is there a clear strategy . I think theres finally a realisation at the highest levels of government that this is a national emergency, that this is a country in mourning. But until we got to this point, i would say until four or five days ago, some were enraged that we continued to have mammoth political rallies in the eastern state of west bengal. The top leaders, both regional Opposition Leaders as well as the prime Minister And Home minister, continued to address major election rallies that could sometime see crowds of hundreds of thousands. A Ring Of Fire encircling the mountain could be seen from up to 20 miles away a sight usually associated with the california mountainside, not county down. At one point, the fire came close to some properties. There was a great change in the wind and we seen it develop really quickly and we came down into the forest here, the Ymca Centre and one property just coming down in the road. We just knocked their doors. We just wanted to prepare them and get them ready, just in case. Thankfully, with wind dying down in the middle of the night, it took a change of direction and we did not have to evacuate. This is a designated special area of conservation.
