If i could literally go back as a kid, this is the Thing Id have learned to do. As well as do what i was doing with my football and stuff, when i went home, i would have loved to have been able to sit down and just learn to cook. Good morning. It is a cold and frosty start to the day to day, but for many of us there will be sunny spells. A few cloudy spells in the north of scotland could be producing showers and it will be breezy around the English Channel. Details in ten minutes. Its thursday april 22nd. Our top story. Borisjohnson will Today Urge World leaders to preserve our planet for generations to come. Hell tell a virtual summit, hosted by us president joe biden, that 2021 must be the year countries Get Serious about stopping Climate Change. 0ur chief environment correspondent, Justin Rowlatt reports. John kerry, President Bidens climate envoy, has been elbow bumping his way around the world in the past few weeks as part of the us s effort to raise global ambition on the climate issue. Well work together to address the Climate Crisis. This week, the uk announced it planned to make even more aggressive emissions cuts, and to kickstart the talks, were anticipating the us president would do the same. Mr biden is expected to say the us will make a 50 cut in emissions by The End of the decade, and go to net zero by 2050. That means cutting emissions as much as possible and capturing those that cant be prevented by Planting Trees or through engineering solutions. The uk says the world is moving on the climate issue. When we were announced as the Cop26 President , less than 30 of the World Economy was covered by a net zero target. We are now at 70 so we have seen some progress. What we now need to do is to get more progress in terms of near Term Emission Reduction targets to 2030. But, as Greta Thunberg says, Setting Targets is easy. Delivering on them is much harder. Of course its a step in the right direction, but if only it was so simple that we could just invest and put money in things and that would solve the problem. Of course, that will be required as well but it will take so much more than that. We need to be realistic and see the whole picture. The idea of the meeting today, which is being hosted virtually from washington, is to get big emitting nations to raise their game on climate. What is needed at glasgow in november is to get them to commit to policies that really will deliver Carbon Cuts that can keep Climate Change within manageable limits. Justin rowlatt, Bbc News. Friends and family have gathered for the wake of the 20 year old black man, daunte wright, who was shot dead by police near minneapolis. His funeral will take place later. It comes after the us Justice Department announced a federal investigation into the Citys Police Department following the conviction of a white former Police Officer for the murder of George Floyd. His death sparked national outrage, and calls for police reform. David willis reports. In the city where George Floyd took his final breath, they are mourning the death of another unarmed black man killed by local police. In minneapolis, mourners gathered to pay their respects to daunte wright, who died just a few miles from where George Floyds Murder Trial was taking place, also at the hands of a white Police Officer. Body Camera Footage of the incidentjust over a week ago shows that as one officer attempted to put Mr Wright in handcuffs, he broke free, only for a fellow officer to shoot him as the car pulled away. The local Police Chief said the second officer mistook her taser for a gun. We find the defendant guilty. The sight of former Police Officer Derek Chauvin being locked in handcuffs has been hailed as a milestone in the struggle for racial equality in this country. But convicting George Floyds killer is one thing. Rooting out systemic racism in the police force, another matter entirely. Nonetheless, the us Attorney General is keen to get going, starting with a federal investigation into Policing Practices In The City of minneapolis. The investigation i am announcing today will assess whether the minneapolis Police Department engages in a Pattern Or Practice of using excessive force, including during protests. The problem, though, is nationwide, and many believe the challenge for civil rights activists keeping the conversation going until meaningful change has taken place. David willis, Bbc News, los angeles. Labour is calling for a thorough investigation into the prime Ministers Text messages with the businessman, sirjames dyson, who was asked to make ventilators early in the coronavirus crisis. It wants a committee of mps to examine the exchanges, claiming borisjohnson was attempting to selectively target Tax Breaks for a politicalfriend. Mrjohnson has insisted he was right to move Heaven And Earth to secure ventilators. India is being devastated by a second wave of covid, which the countrys Prime Minister has called a coronavirus storm. In the past 2a hours, almost 300,000 new cases were reported the biggest daily rise in any country and more than 2,000 people died. Officials said hospitals across india were at breaking point. They will also be asked to take a test afterwards for research purposes. This will be the first Music Show at the 02 for more than a year. Colin paterson, Bbc News. Driving tests in england and wales Resume Today after they were suspended in late december due to the pandemic. Lessons began ten days ago, to give learners a chance to practice. 0ur Transport Correspondent Caroline Davies reports. Sometimes, it takes a few attempts before things line up. But Learner Drivers have rarely had to wait this long to get a test. Ive had my test cancelled i think eight times by this point, but ive kind of lost count. I live quite literally in the middle of nowhere with the nearest Bus Station being about a mile or two away. Its almost impossible to get around or go anywhere without asking someone else to give me a lift. The last Car Driving Tests for non key workers was before christmas. The delay has had an impact on instructors as well, many of whom who have not been able to work. You still have overheads to cover for the cars, youve got to pay for the cars and the insurance and all that sort of stuff. And also, its been very frustrating for a lot of the pupils that we teach. Effectively, its three and a half, four months since theyve last been in a car. And to have that break when youre a fairly inexperienced driver is quite difficult for a lot of them. But the wait is almost over. There are currently over 400,000 people waiting for a Car Test in britain. More examiners are now working weekends, extra people have been recruited, and some have been brought back out of retirement. Even the boss is now taking some of the tests. Waiting time varies around the country because it depends on how many people are in the queue, and how many examiners we have in any given location. So it can vary quite a bit. I think the key thing that is that we will add more Test Appointments each week as time moves on. No one knows how long it will take to clear the backlog so l plates may need to stay on far longer than many would like. Caroline davies, Bbc News. How many times for you . Three. Good morning, very well, thank you it is lovely weather this morning, set fair, some of us have a frost, in aberdeenshire, 5 3. So if you are heading out, it is a cold start to the day. But as naga mentioned, it is going to be strong sunshine for most of us and mostly dry. They could be the Odd Shower in the shetlands, though. A bit more cloud turning the Sunshine Hazy in Central Scotland through the day but apart from that, a lot of sunshine. Breezy in the English Channel and coastlines adjacent to it, gusting to 40 miles an hour. But inland, the breezes are light. It will feel cool along the North Sea coastline. Higher temperatures will be 16 to 17, may be 18 in the west. This evening and overnight, still clear skies, it will be cold. Temperature falling away quite rapidly. Cloud across the far north of scotland, and quite breezy across the English Channel. These are our temperatures, 1 channel. These are our temperatures, 1 in norwich, three in level. Those Pollen Levels have crept in but i will take it with The Sunshine. Thank you so much. Pleasure. Have you used one of these recently . Landline telephones. It turns out more and more of us are ditching them and those of us that do have one are not using it for calls or not picking up at all. 80 of all Uk Households still have a landline. Thats 22 Million connections. But thats down a lot from the Landlines Peak at the turn of the century when 95 of us had one. But, are we using them for calls . For a lot of us theyre just necessary to get broadband. In fact a quarter of those homes that do have a landline dont have a handset attached to them. On average we spend just 35 minutes a week talking on the blower. But thats higher for older people. However, more than a fifth of us avoid answering altogether in order to get away from nuisance calls. Phone rings. Ill no. You get it. Hello . Its not that one. Hello . Its my mum. Yeah, yeah. While he does that, have a watch back at the Golden Age of the landline. Really . Really . The first receiver consisted of a bar of iron and wire. A rather crude affair with definite limitations. Definite limitations aside, the growth of telephone was astronomic. Just 50 years after Alexander Graham bells invention, there were more than 1. 5 million Phone Stations across the uk. Less popular was his suggestion we answer calls with ahoy, instead of. Hello, hello, operator . By the time of the second World War, so many people were dialling up, they had to be warned not to block the lines from the war effort. Development of so called Trunk Lines and exchanges allows operators to connect people and royalty more easily across the country. This is the queen speaking from bristol. Im always interested in any development that brings my people closer together. Answering machines revolutionised the home phone experience. Mr brown is not at home but would you please leave a message . Speak slowly, speak now. But the exchanges remained. Anthony . 0h, congratulations on your exam results. Grandma, ifailed. Good morning from Bbc London, im victoria hollins. There are calls for the next mayor of london to make, and stick to a promise over more accessible transport in the capital. Campaigners say it benefits all londoners, but every London Mayor has promised and so far struggled to deliver on large scale plans to increase step free access on the tube. At the moment, only 81 out of 270 Tube Stations have step free access, but tfl says six more are planned to be completed this year. There have been so many promises made over the years by various successive mayors. And it is devastating when these deadlines are consistently pushed back, or scrapped entirely. This idea of accessibility being this kind of thing that you can stick on at The End because its a luxury or its nice to have, we need to change that way of thinking. Today is stephen Lawrence Day. Hes teamed up with michelin starred Chef Tom Kerridge to show how nutritious food can be made on a budget, in the hope that nobody has to go to bed hungry. Hes been speaking to sally exclusively about the project. Oh, The Sun is coming back. Gorgeous, isnt it . Never get sun in the front garden. Im hoping youve seen that one. Stay, good boy. I remember coming to your house a year ago and asking for a cup of tea, and i can remember you looking around for all the bits and pieces to make a cup of tea, and would you say that maybe the kitchen has not always been your favourite place. Its not that its not my favourite place, its just that its not my most familiar environment, but since then im glad to say that ive been in there a bit more and learned a few more skills in there and, for me, itsjust been a Journey. And also, i suppose, a lot of it is about gaining confidence in the kitchen and then gaining Life Skills. Yeah, exactly. Thats the End Goal. The angle is for an 11 year old kid, if he moves out of his parents home, when hes 18 years old, 19 years old, he can know how to cook for himself and eat the right meals, those affordable meals and it will be one less thing he has to stress about because hes been doing it for five or six years already, and i always go to my experiences. Like, if i could literally go back as a kid this is something i would want to learn to as well as doing my football. When i went home, i would have loved to have been able to sit down and just learn to cook. So youve been cooking with tom kerridge. What are your favourite recipes so far . What have you learned . My favourite recipes, not to say that i liked the food, because i feel my food needs a lot of work on it, but my favourite but my favourite recipes to cook were hashbrowns and i would say the Stir Fry one. The chicken Stir Fry . Yes. We are doing the chicken Stir Fry on the programme with tom, so that is really good. Them two were my two favourites because ive never really ate hashbrowns but now i know the process of them, i probably would start eating them and then the Stir Fry, i always thought with Stir Fry because it looks like there is so much going on its going to be a nightmare to try and cook, but it was actually really fun. And how did it taste . It tasted all right. If i did it again, it would taste better because i put too much of the Peanut Butter Sauce in, and it wasnt as creamy as it should be. It sounds nice. It was all right. I think i gave it a seven out of ten or something. If i cooked it properly, it would be an eight. Did you have any disasters in the kitchen . Yeah. A lot. Go on. The first disaster was finding the equipment, because ijust didnt have a clue where anything was. Its like when you tried to make me a cup of tea. You couldnt find the kettle. Stop it, youre embarrassing me now. Sorry. But the first challenge was finding everything, and probably the second challenge was knowing which knives, for example, to use for which things because i didnt have a clue. I was using the wrong knives and then tom to help me and stuff. What he has done, which is quite clever, is for each recipe is different ways to cook it, so depending on the equipment you have at home, ill give you an example, he showed me an omelette he made in a kettle. How . I dont know. Its one of those things you never thought you could do it, but its to show people that even if people are struggling and they dont actually own pots and pans and stuff like that, there are still ways around it to make the meals that they like. One of the main reasons im doing it as well is to just show younger people that you are allowed to make mistakes. Its not The End of the world if you make a mistake. And ifeel like me going into something that was unknown to me in the past is just showing that he is out of his comfort zone, so why cant i try it . And how important is it to you that people are not stigmatised for using their healthy Start Vouchers, and how is that going to work . I feel like The View of people using the vouchers has changed a little bit. But it needs to change more, because people that are entitled to the Vouchers Arent using them because they are scared of what people are going to think about them which, in my eyes, is ridiculous. Wherever your Journey starts, people can start down there and start up there, but they can finish at the same point. Ive just always been brought up to look at people as the same, so hopefully people will finally see that it is fine to be in a struggling position, its about the next steps and how you are going to not struggle any more, and using the vouchers is one way of doing that. Youre going to start putting these recipes out online, arent you, but also in supermarkets. Why was that important . A lot of the people we are trying to reach they dont have access to things like Social Media and stuff like that, so the smartest way to do it was to make sure that they are in local supermarkets that people go to every day. We just wanted to make sure that we are hitting as many people and the right people as possible. When Marcus Rashford talks about School Meal vouchers, you listen to him, because you know he is experienced with that, and he is using his platform for good and i love the fact that he admits he is no good at cooking. And we should say that that interview that sally did with Marcus Rashford was recorded before the news of the european Super League being announced, but of course that is all over the place now. Good morning and all the focus is now on what happens to those clubs, and all the back pages are talking about what sanctions, punishments, if any should be handed out, specifically the owners and still fans are unhappy despite the apologies from a lot of the english clubs. We saw it at spurs Last Night, fans were protesting despite the club pulling out and making the apology and still a long wait for the story to go. After the turbulent few days in english football, surrounding plans for a european Super League, two of the clubs who were part of the break away, returned to action with wins Last Night. Manchester city had to come from behind to beat Aston Villa 2 1 and now need just eight points to win the title englands Phil Foden continued his brilliant form with another goal before rodri, then headed city ahead. But Citys Night was marred as they had to survive the second half with ten men after a Var Check on this challenge, John Stones was sent off and will now miss Sundays Efl Cup final. Well earlier this week the city manager, Pep Guardiola said any Breakaway Competition Wouldnt be proper sport. After Last Nights match he was asked if his players, had been distracted by the Super League plans. After the game it doesnt look like it, after the game it doesnt look like it. So after the game it doesnt look like it. So we after the game it doesnt look like it, so we were focused and of Course Everybody it, so we were focused and of Course Everybody was concerned all around the World Everybody was concerned All Around The World and here, but the players were focused on the trained really well and were focused on the trained really well and they give another incredible performance. We are so close fans gathered outside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before their match with southampton to protest against the spurs board. They were one of the six clubs lined up to take part in the european Super League, but in their statement pulling out of the Plans Spurs said they were sorry for any upset or anxiety caused. Fans held up banners protesting against Chairman Daniel Levy and the owners enic. There was good news for tottenham on the pitch though. After the club sacked Jose Mourinho this week, Ryan Mason took charge, and after his side, went behind, against southampton, Gareth Bale got spurs back on track, before they completed a 2 1win, with a late son penalty. Atjust 29, mason is the youngest, manager to take charge of a Premier League match, and they next play in the League Cup final On Sunday. So now, a swift and dramatic collapse over the last couple of days has seen the proposed european Super League go from 12 teams involved to just three. Spanish Giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, along with the italian side, juventus, have yet to formally pull out. So why have they not followed in the footsteps, of the other clubs, and distanced themselves from it . Spanish football writer, guillem balague, joins me now. Morning, so whats going on At Barca and real. They must have seen the condemnation of these plans around the football world. So why havent they pulled out too . Its like a party that the lights are on. Its like a party that the lights are on, and there are three guys theyre are on, and there are three guys theyre hoping for more people to come theyre hoping for more people to come in theyre hoping for more people to come in but to be honest its a party come in but to be honest its a party in come in but to be honest its a party in a come in but to be honest its a party in a luxurious palace. Especiallyjuventus, barcelona and Real Madrid, they are in a difficult financial situation, so it in a difficult financial situation, so it was in a difficult financial situation, so it was definitely a way out for all of so it was definitely a way out for all of that so it was definitely a way out for all of that and surprisingly enough, the president ofjuventus, and Fiorentina Terrace tried to defend the competition again Last Night and he kept the competition again Last Night and he kept saying it was a way to save football he kept saying it was a way to save football he kept saying it was a way to save football parents. They still think football parents. They still think they football parents. They still think they can do it somehow. What does it say about think they can do it somehow. Hes talking that they expect to get 900 Million euros and basically they will get about 600, and basically they will get about 600. So and basically they will get about 600, so thats 300 Million Euros they will 600, so thats 300 Million Euros they will lose only this year and he thinks they will lose only this year and he thinks it they will lose only this year and he thinks it will get worse next season and funds thinks it will get worse next season and funds coming and all of the money and funds coming and all of the money that was invested in football comes money that was invested in football comes back, so its a bad situation for madrid comes back, so its a bad situation for madrid because they are rebuilding their stadium. For madrid because they are rebuilding theirstadium. It for madrid because they are rebuilding their stadium. It means they can rebuilding their stadium. It means they can still compete as they have players they can still compete as they have players to they can still compete as they have players to reduce the wages again, so the players to reduce the wages again, so the squad they have got has taken them to so the squad they have got has taken them to the so the squad they have got has taken them to the semifinals of the Champions League and they have the option Champions League and they have the option of Champions League and they have the option of winning the league but basically option of winning the league but basically the president and the other basically the president and the other president s are staying in the group other president s are staying in the group because even if its not in this Format Group because even if its not in this format they want to negotiate something that changes football. We have to not much will happen to them. Have to leave not much will happen to them. Have to leave it there but i know the story goes on and on and there is more to debate. Thank you for your time this morning. So, on a limb, you would have to say, still clinging onto some hope that something can be rescued, but others and the duke of cambridge was saying yesterday that he thinks it could be a time for football to reset and address the inequality in things like players wages. May be that naive thinking, but it could be a chance to draw a line in the sand and hopefully save the game for the future. We will see, because it is about the fans as well. Future. We will see, because it is about the fans as well. Mike, Thank Ou Ve about the fans as well. Mike, thank you very much time to check in on what the weather is doing and carol has the details. Good morning. Good morning. A lovely start to the day for some of us. It is lovely, frosty, and as you can guess from that sentence alone it is also cold. In the highlands it is currently 6 and in manchester 1, the same in a way born, glasgow plus one, Northern Ireland 7 degrees in milford haven. The forecast is dry and we still have some strong sunshine and High Pressure is across the British Isles in the air moves around it in a clockwise direction it will be breezy across the English Channel in the South West of hingham with gus between 30 and 40 mph. You can see lovely Blue Skies from The Word Go across the country, a bit more cloud across the country, a bit more cloud across the country, a bit more cloud across the far north of scotland which could produce a shower in shetland and through the day there will be fair Weather Cloud turning the Sunshine Hazy across central and Southern Scotland. If you have an allergy to Tree Pollen, this might be good news. The levels are high across Northern Ireland, central and Southern Scotland and a lot of england and all of wales, so something to consider if you are heading out. Moderate in the southeast with an onshore breeze in the same across southern areas. The strength of the breeze, the average wind speed, so you can see its nothing to write home about apart from in the south and South West. Temperatures ranging from 14 in hole 216 In Glasgow up to 70 in cardiff. As we go overnight the temperatures will fall away quickly and it will be breezy across the English Channel and we still have this Cloud Toppling across the area of High Pressure, so where we have the cloud it will not be as cold and where we have the clear skies it will be, and once again it will be cold enough for a touch of frost. Here is the high Pressure Tomorrow and if anything has eked a little bit further east, not much, but a change in the Wind Direction out towards the west, so for Northern Ireland, wales and the South West it will be breezy tomorrow but still across the English Channel is gusting at 35 mph and after a cold and frosty start a lot of sunshine with patches of cloud here and there and potentially a little bit of drizzle coming out the cloud across the far north. Jeely if you are walking along the coast, particularly the South East but we still have temperatures of 15 in london, 17 in Birmingham And Cardiff and 19 In Glasgow and also in cumbria, so if you like it sunny, dry and warm, you are in for a treat and if you are crying out for rain, no significant rain in the forecast, certainly this week. I am saying that agree with them. I am saying that i have a clear view on independence in a referendum but that wont shut me off from caring about the issues that matter to 100 of the country and the manifesto we are presenting today is for 100 of the country to come through this and build better scotland. Thats quite nice. Happy birthday, ernest cheers and after the pandemic put paid to last years celebrations, they were determined he wouldnt miss out again. Hes got a great sense of humour, hes got a zest for life. And he has a real appreciation for people around him. As you can see, im 103. Looking 63 but what do you get a 103 year old World War ii veteran . Well, it turns out, a letter from the Prime Minister and a signed copy of his book about another. Best wishes from Boris Johnson. Ernest served with the Royal Wlectrical and mechanical engineers through the North Africa campaign. Including at El Alamein. Feeding El Alamein with weapons and supplies for the coming effort. And it was during the war that he discovered a love of flying, after being flown home in a lancaster bomber. He only stopped flying when he turned 93. And he only stopped because the Insurance Company refused to give him cover. And at 103, he remains a certified Light Aircraft inspector. People still call him, e mail him, from all over the world, even australia, asking for his advice on how you would repair something. And its lovely, he comes alive when you talk about aircraft engineering. Weve woken up one morning and theres been an aeroplane on the drive, that hes picked up from somewhere in france and hes taken to his hangar at blackpool, to renovate and do up and fly again. 0nly fitting, then, that as part of his birthday celebrations, there will be a fly by in his honour this weekend. We have about 30 aeroplanes now coming from all over britain, People Who know ernest, mostly, some People Who know him but all of them will have used his expertise at some stage or another, theyll have asked for his advice, particularly those who are flying Wood And Fabric aircraft. In which he is still a recognised expert right throughout europe. But for this humble hero, a few words of wisdom on his speciaL Day. People, when you get to this age, go out of their way to be kind. Kindness is all around, thats all you feel. Its a Pity It cant be like that for everyone in the world. Katie walderman, Bbc News. Wise words from ernest. We will talk more about that later. Time now to get the news, Travel And Weather where you are. It is exactly 28 years since the 18 year old was stabbed and killed in eltham. Stephen lawrence was murdered by a gang of racists in 1993. Now the weather with kate kinsella. Good morning. So far april has been quite a chilly month, largely, but also a dry Month And Today is no exception. High pressure remains in charge, so we are waking up to clear skies again this morning. A chilly start, but plenty of sunshine and a gentle easterly breeze, so temperatures in the east a little Bit Cooler and the further west you are, we are looking at a maximum of 15 celsius. 0vernight Tonight we hang onto similar conditions, it is dry and clear and the wind is light and the minimum temperature dropping down very close to zero if not below, so dont be too surprised if you wake up to a bit of frost first thing on friday morning. It is a cold and frosty start to the day to day but for most of us, its going to be a sunny one as well. A bit more clout in the north of scotland which could produce the old and fairly breezily across the English Channel and areas adjacent to it. John kerry, President Bidens climate envoy, has been elbow bumping his way around the world in the past few weeks as part of the Uss Effort to raise global ambition on the climate issue. What we need to do is to get more progress in terms of near Term Emission Reduction targets to 2030. But, as Greta Thunberg says, Setting Targets is easy. Delivering on them is much harder. Of course its a step in the right direction, but if only it was that simple that we could just invest and put money in things and that would solve the problem. Lets speak now to our chief political correspondent, adam fleming. Borisjohnson is saying that countries should Get Serious about stopping Climate Change, a lot of people would say we should have done that already. How significant will this conference be . It is significant this conference be . It is significant in this conference be . It is significant in the i this conference be . It is significant in the sense i this conference be . It 3 significant in the sense that there are a lot of leaders, and its about Building Momentum to the next very significant moment which will be the climate Change Conference hosted by the uk In Glasgow in november. Although there are still some questions over whether that will end P Questions over whether that will end up being a virtual conference as well. What borisjohnson is doing today with his fellow World Leaders is laying a bit of a Guilt Trip on them saying, its now or never, and that future generations will not forgive them if they dont grasp this problem and make some big ambitious commitments this year. The uk thinks it has a good story to tell because as we were just hearing, earlierthis tell because as we were just hearing, earlier this week, they toughened up their Climate Change ambitions, made the more ambitious, and say they will make the reductions faster. 15 years faster than they were originally planning. But also as we are hearing, other nations are not quite prepared to go as fast as that. The other big thing is how you deliver these cuts to Carbon Emissions. It affects every business, every family, every person, potentially every home. And what we are all waiting for At Westminster is a document from the treasury, which they promised to publish this spring, which will start to lay out in more detail some of the difficult choices. I wonder if this whole conversation about Climate Change which at the moment is, lets be ambitious and set some ambitious targets, once it becomes about the costs to individual businesses and cup individuals, that debate will become a lot, not harder. It that debate will become a lot, not harder. , that debate will become a lot, not harder. ,. , that debate will become a lot, not harder. ~ ,. , harder. It will. Thank you very much. Stephanie says her boss had been very supportive and offered for her to work from home, but she decided to come into the office. She says she was unaware of the risks. According to government guidance, youre not more susceptible to catching covid if youre pregnant, but you have an increased risk of becoming severely ill and of preterm birth. And thats what worries jess. Her baby is due injune. She gave up herjob as a carer in gloucester last month. She says she was given a Risk Assessment and ppe, but didnt feel that was enough. I felt i had to leave because i was too worried about what was the impact on me and my child. And the fact that i didnt feel completely safe and i knew that i would still have to be within one metre of this individual, and i couldnt always keep up the coronavirus guidelines. Now, at five months pregnant i have had to look at the government guidance. It says that all expectant mothers should receive a workplace Risk Assessment, and for those who are more than 28 weeks pregnant, they should be in most cases encouraged to work from home. If a womans specific needs cannot be met, then she should be suspended on full pay. Mary agyapong was a pregnant nurse in luton who died almost exactly a year ago from covid. Her unborn child survived and was delivered by c section. The inquest Heard she had felt pressurised to stay at work in later pregnancy. Campaigners are calling on the government to tighten up rules to ensure employers undertake a Risk Assessment, tailored to their pregnant workers individual needs. Our recent research showed us that 48 of pregnant women do not feel that their employers are following a Risk Assessment that is individual to them, and therefore 57 of pregnant women told us that currently they do not feel safe at work. About two thirds of pregnant women who have covid i9 dont have any symptoms. Severe illness is very unusual, but more likely in later pregnancy. And the maternal Mortality Rate from covid i9 is 2. 2 per 100,000 maternities. It is really small numbers compared to the number of women who are pregnant and having a very successful pregnancy and birth. So, yes, he really sensible, follow the guidance to the letter. The government has said it has no plans in the short term to change its guidance for pregnant women during covid. It says any employee who has Concerns Safety adjustments are not being made should raise these through their employers, or the Health And Safety executive, who can take Enforcement Action if needed. Ellie price, Bbc News. Thank you to stephanie for sharing her story with us. To talk more about this, were joined now by one of our regular breakfast gps, dr rachel ward. Rachel, good morning. Hopefully you were able to hear that peace there. What do you make of that guidance, and whether workplaces are doing enough to keep pregnant women safe . Good morning. Yeah, that was quite a sad piece. Stephanies story is a visually heartbreaking, and to see that they are pregnant women out there having such a difficult time. Her story was obviously heartbreaking. When we started the pandemic, there was quite a lot of unknown about the risk to pregnant women, we suspected there would be a risk of pregnant women becoming more severely unwell compared to their non pregnant age equivalent people, but now we have the data to confirm that. So you are not more likely to get covid if you are pregnant but there is an increased risk of having a Preterm Delivery or becoming severely unwell, compared to somebody the same age who isnt pregnant. I think we have to compare this to our shielding groups, another high Risk Group that we have taken additional precautions with throughout the pandemic. Now we have the data, we have to stick to it and look after our pregnant population, because we dont want to see people having bad outcomes in that way. With that in mind, if someone is in that situation, worried about going back to the office or to the workplace, their boss is saying, its fine, you can come in, what advice would you have . Its fine, you can come in, what advice would you have . Well, as the cli said, advice would you have . Well, as the clip said. If advice would you have . Well, as the clip said. If you advice would you have . Well, as the clip said, if you are advice would you have . Well, as the clip said, if you are under advice would you have . Well, as the clip said, if you are under 28 clip said, if you are under 28 weeks, the recommendation is that you have a thorough Risk Assessment and everything should be done to remove risk. Obviously it will really vary between different people and the Job Situation you are in. After 28 weeks, it really stresses that people should be working at home. If you feel that you are not getting this support, and not, things are not being put in place to remove this risk, then you are well within your rights to take this further to the Health And Safety board is mentioned. And to get further advice. Board is mentioned. And to get furtheradvice. Because board is mentioned. And to get further advice. Because employers should be looking after you. That is advice for pregnant should be looking after you. That is advice for pregnant women. Should be looking after you. That is advice for pregnant women. Lets L Advice for pregnant women. Lets talk about vaccinations, particularly. There has been some change in the advice regarding vaccinations for pregnant women. We know Pfizer Biontech and macro macro to being we know Pfizer Biontech and moderna are recommended but astrazeneca is not, can you explain that . It astrazeneca is not, can you explain that . , ,. , that . It is very difficult to get aood that . It is very difficult to get good data that . It is very difficult to get good data for that . It is very difficult to get good data for new that . It is very difficult to get good data for new drugs that . It is very difficult to get good data for new drugs in i good data for new drugs in pregnancy, it is considered unethical to test new drugs on pregnant women because we do not know the effect on unborn children so it is very difficult when drugs are developed to get a good data. This is across the board, notjust with vaccines. So we would have to tread carefully. There has been a significant amount of data gathered with the Pfizer And Moderna vaccine, and it often happens when people for example get vaccinated before they a chilly realise they are pregnant. So we gather data inadvertently, if you like. And the opinion is now that we have enough data about Pfizer And Moderna to recommend that this is the one that should be used, compared to astrazeneca where we still dont have a lot of data. The 2021 Brit Awards will take place at the 02 with a live audience as part of the government s Pilot Programme to see how venues can welcome crowds back safely this summer. 4,000 people will be invited by a Ballot System with over half nhs workers. Analysts discovered that light levels across the capital only fall by 30 per cent overnight. Lets Take A Look at the Travel Situation now. Theres a good service on the tubes this morning just minor delays on london overground. Delays to great northern services between Harringay And Moorgate after electrical supply problems earlier. On the roads, in South West London in whitton, Lane 2 is closed for gas works in both directions on the a316 great Chertsey Road to and from the hospital bridge roundabout. Overnight tonight we hang onto similar conditions, it is dry and clear and the wind is light and the minimum temperature dropping down very close to zero if not below, so dont be too surprised if you wake up to a bit of frost first thing on friday morning. Its another bright start tomorrow, plenty of sunshine, similar conditions, dry but still underneath this rather cold air and that is going to stay with us through the week and the weekend as well. The sun at this time of year is pretty strong with Uv Levels at the high end of moderate and the Pollen Count is also high through this week. On the talk of the european Super League, if you are still seething about the idea, this isnt going to help your mood. He is saying the top clubs are losing more money because they have greater costs in the pandemic and they need it more than anyone and say they are losing more money than the other teams. I dont thing there will be too much sympathy. The architect behind the european Super League Real Madrid President Florentino Perez told Spanish Radio Last Night, that the project is still on standby. Thats despite 9 of the 12 clubs, including all six Premier League ones, withdrawing in the last couple of days, and saying it had been a mistake. Earlier on breakfast i spoke to Spanish Football writer, guillem balague, and he told us, why the head of real, and his counterparts at barcelona, and juventus, are desperate to keep the plans alive, as they try to offset huge financial losses. Brits basically the chairmen are staying in the group because even if its not in this format they want to negotiate something that changes football, they agree that the Champions League is obsolete and the audiences changing and the money is there, more money than they have had so far, to keep fighting at the top and pay a lot of the debts. Well the anger towards the Super League idea, is still very much present among fans, over here in england. Saying sorry has not been enough, to appease those supporters who gathered outside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before spurs match with southampton to protest against Chairman Daniel Levy, and the owners enic levy had earlier released a statement apologising for any upset or anxiety caused. On the pitch, after the club sacked Jose Mourinho this week, Ryan Mason took charge, and after his side, went behind, against southampton, Gareth Bale got spurs back on track, before they completed a 2 1win. Atjust 29, mason is the youngest, manager to take charge of a Premier League match, and they next play in the League Cup final On Sunday. Manchester city manager, Pep Guardiola, said the failed esl was now a closed chapter, and hadnt been a distraction and his side came from behind to beat Aston Villa 2 1 and now need just eight points to win the title. Englands Phil Foden continued his brilliant form before rodri, then headed city ahead. But city had to survive the second half with ten men. After a Var Check on this challenge, John Stones was sent off and will now miss Sundays Efl Cup final. Away from all the Super League, hullabaloo, snooker s World Number onejudd trump said playing with freedom and going for difficult shots, was key to him reaching round 2, and that also worked for the 2018 Champion Mark williams, who beat the Qualifier Sam Craigie Last Night. I think the weather will be quite relaxing. Being gorgeous some parts of the country this week. A frosty start from the looks of things though. Good morning. Good morning to You Both, and you are right, there is frost this morning, quite a widespread frost at that and the weather Watchers Picture from southwark tells the story nicely with many of us starting on the cold notebook with a lot of sunshine and many others hanging on to The Sunshine through the course of the day but the forecast is largely dry and if youre looking for any significant rain in the forecast in the next few days there isnt any. The best chance of seeing some rain potentially is later from monday into tuesday and it might not be significant either. We have High Pressured dominating the weather and the wind moving around in a clockwise direction so gusty at times through the English Channel and the coastline is adjacent to it, but a lot of dry weather in the cloud across northern scotland, the very far north could produce the Odd Shower at times but not much more and a bit more fair Weather Cloud will develop across central and Southern Scotland through the course of the afternoon, so that will turn the Sunshine Hazy. Pollen levels, if you have an allergy to Birch Or Ash or you are sniffily today, you can see a lot of us have high Pollen Levels. Temperature wise its not going to feel too bad at all because we have only got light breezes, perhaps stronger breezes coming on across the English Channel and at times along the North Sea coastline, just knocking back the temperatures a bit but we will still see 16 In Glasgow, 11i a bit but we will still see 16 In Glasgow, 1a in belfast, 15 in birmingham and 17 in cardiff and the average north to south is roughly between 11 and 15. Through the evening and overnight, temperatures will fall away quickly and again we have the breeze coming in across the English Channel, still a fair bit of cloud across the far north of scotland but at least it will help maintain temperature levels but elsewhere whether cloud remains broken it will be cold enough for some frost. Slight change in the Weather Tomorrow in the sense that the High Pressure has drifted, well, not much east, and you can see towards the west of the isobars are closer together so tomorrow will be breezy for Northern Ireland, and cornwall but still gusty winds through the English Channel and channel islands. Temperatures tomorrow a little bit higher, 19 In Glasgow and around Liverpool And Manchester and generally the same in cumbria, but a little fresher if you are going for a walk along the shoreline. As we head into the weekend it remains dry, mostly sunny, still chilly nights with some of seeing frost, and we look closely at that we can see what you mean in some of the towns and cities and perhaps On Sunday it will be a bit more cloudy but again, that is still open to question. It was very cold and ive spent most of my career in the last ten years in thejungle, so this my career in the last ten years in the jungle, so this was a very different experience for me and it gets down to 20 at night on the mountain is so really very frosty, but insanely beautiful. Those mountings look like something out of a cartoon or a storybook and theres almost nothing like trying to find a Snow Leopard, even in Wildlife Film making there are some animals you hope to see and you kind of thing even if you are going there to shoot them there is a very small chance of actually getting them and at the top of that list is a Snow Leopard, so it was a life dream. Hopi leopard, so it was a life dream. How atientl leopard, so it was a life dream. How patiently you leopard, so it was a life dream. How patiently you have leopard, so it was a life dream. We were going upj there to set for or 50 camera traps and its a completely white of looking at Snow Leopards because a lot of the time there is a Camera Operator sat waiting for days and days, sometimes months on end, and what we were doing, my goal, my hope, my dream was to see a Snow Leopard in the wild but we were going up there with these rangers, these local herders, anti poachers, rangers who work with the Snow Leopard trust and they would go off with these horses in different directions and we would hope that one of the teams would see a Snow Leopard and they were riding around on the semi wild horses they had captured. When i showed the series to the Snow Leopard trust recently, they were overjoyed and they are so happy because people not just in england will see it, but people in kyrgyzstan and there are so many pieces of information that the scientists in the series say will help them with issues that we have that we might not think about, for example, what people need to do when they find a lost Snow Leopard cub, which is something that happens. Driving tests in england and wales Resume Today after they were suspended in late december due to the pandemic. Lessons began ten days ago, to give learners a chance to practice. Our Transport Correspondent Caroline davies reports. A lot of sunshine, fair Weather Cloud developing particularly in central and Southern Scotland turning the Sunshine Hazy. Gusty winds through the English Channel, 30 or a0 mile an hour. And also to the coastline is adjacent to the English Channel. Temperatures, 16 degrees in cardiff, feeling cooler on the onshore breeze across the South East and into the afternoon. This dry weather might be tempting you to have a barbecue, as we go into the latter part of the afternoon and the early evening, you can see hazy sunshine across much of scotland. Northern ireland will hang The Sunshine, so northern england, as will wales, east anglia and the southern counties. But if you have a barbecue your bread rolls could end P Barbecue your bread rolls could end up in Plymouth Or Bute because it will be quite dusty out there. This evening and overnight, the wind will still be a feature across southern areas, we will have clear skies, the temperature will fall away. Cloud in the north and west, thick enough for the north and west, thick enough for the odd spot of drizzle from time to time. Hanging on to the higher temperatures here. Elsewhere, cold enough under clear skies for another frost. Tomorrow, we start on a cold North Car cold note, gusty winds across the English Channel as well, but a slight change. More of a breeze coming in across Northern Ireland, West Wales and the South West. The highest images will be in the west. North West Wales and england, and also parts of western scotland. As the fallout from the George Floyd murder is being felt around the world, one family knows only too well the private heartache those close to him will be going through. Its 28 years since the teenager Stephen Lawrence was murdered in a racist attack while he was waiting for a bus near his home in london. On the anniversary of his death werejoined by his brother stuart, whose new book draws upon his own experiences, and encourages young people to transform the world around them. Absolutely lovely to see you, stuart. I thoroughly enjoyed your book. What came out of it, and particularly notable on the day of alL Days, stephen Lawrence Day as it is named, that it is about hope, about being positive, and knowing that you can make a difference in the world and you say this right at the world and you say this right at the start of the book, inspired a lot about what you knew of your brother stephen. Lot about what you knew of your brother stehen. ,. ,. ,. , brother stephen. Yeah, good morning, eve one. Brother stephen. Yeah, good morning, everyone it brother stephen. Yeah, good morning, everyone it was brother stephen. Yeah, good morning, everyone. It was about brother stephen. Yeah, good morning, everyone. It was about that brother stephen. Yeah, good morning, everyone. It was about that whole i everyone. It was about that whole idea that someone with the best intentions trying to guide you through something really placated. Complicated. I wanted to pass on some nuggets of information that could help young people and adults. One of the points i wanted to pick up one of the points i wanted to pick up as well, when stephen was killed, you went from being the middle brother to the older brother. And you lost someone that you could look up you lost someone that you could look up to. And one of the things you talk about in your book, and you talk about in your book, and you talk about in your book, and you talk about stephen because quality is of course, but you talk about how important it is that people have someone who looks like them that is relatable, that they can look up to and aspire to and then is to be a wealth of those people about. Definitely. That is part of my own personalJourney, where i am today, which is along that way, there have People Who took a chance on me, believed in me, and saw something which i could not see in myself. That is one of the key point of my book, to get young people to understand that that little voice inside your head that you think is the voice that only you have, it isnt. If you can find someone that you can bounce ideas off of, and some people are unsure about checking that out, that can help someone develop and grow. Stephen was that person for me growing up, we shared a bedroom together as we grew up. But then after stephen, there were many other People Who were then in that place that helped me along myJourney. To all the kids that i taught, i really wanted to be that i taught, i really wanted to be that person in a time when it was all going wrong and people couldnt quite work it out, they knew they had me who had their best interests at heart. And if i could help them in anyway, i do that. You at heart. And if i could help them in anyway, i do that. At heart. And if i could help them in anyway, i do that. You talk about the amount in anyway, i do that. You talk about the amount of in anyway, i do that. You talk about the amount of change, in anyway, i do that. You talk about the amount of change, the in anyway, i do that. You talk about the amount of change, the change i the amount of change, the change since your childhood you describe is immense. We have come a long way since then. You talked to about removing racism in our society, and when it comes to that we are a long way off. That in many respects, a lot of things have not changed. Yeah, again, the book is about empowering young people to have a voice. I need people to understand and know that some of the language we used to use, some of the lives we used to have, are not right, they effectively hurt people. And that leads on to, people dont have confidence about themselves. People have complexes about themselves. No human being should have a contact about themselves. When we are born, No One has an option to save their skin colour, i colour, hair colour, sexual preference, No One has that choice. So we have to respect people as a human being. People come to that place, surely the world will be a different place. Pare place, surely the world will be a different place. Different place. Are you hopeful that we will different place. Are you hopeful that we will make different place. Are you hopeful that we will make enough i different place. Are you hopeful that we will make enough progress . I have to be. Because like we have been saying, i am in my 40s now, i have a ten year old son myself, who soon will be walking the streets by himself, like adults, which he should be able to do. I want to know that Everyones Mindset around the place is, we are human beings, we need to treat each other as equals. And in knowing that, that we respect each other. Do we respect each other . Did we respect differences and celebrate differences . Im hopeful that those mindsets and those steps forward, then surely we will all have the space to develop in all the great human beings we have the possibility to be. Have the possibility to be. Thank ou ve have the possibility to be. Thank you very much. Have the possibility to be. Thank you very much, all have the possibility to be. Thank you very much, all the have the possibility to be. Thank you very much, all the better have the possibility to be. Thank| you very much, all the better you and your family. You very much, all the better you and yourfamily. I know you very much, all the better you and your family. I the Commonwealth War Graves Commission has apologised for failing to properly commemorate the deaths of black and asian Service Personnel who lost their lives fighting for the British Empire. An investigation found more than 100,000 african and middle eastern casualties were not formally remembered in the same way as white troops due to pervasive racism. Lets speak now to historian professor David Olusoga who helped produce a documentary that lead to the commissioning of the report. David olusoga, thank you very much forjoining us on success. Tell us about what has been uncovered. About what has been uncovered. Thank about what has been uncovered. thank you forjoining us on breakfast. What has been uncovered, much of this was already known before this was established, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission lived up to its principles when it came to white soldiers in europe. That was that everyone got the same treatment in death. Generals didnt get huge memorials as they had done in other wars, get huge memorials as they had done in otherwars, and get huge memorials as they had done in other wars, and private soldiers from working class backgrounds got exactly same headstone as offices and generals and that is remarkable. Those cemeteries are some of the most poignant and powerful places i have ever been to and i have been going to them for 20 years. When it came to non white people, particularly africans and people in the middle east in the war in africa during the first World War, im afraid the commission disastrously failed to live up to its principles. Lets go through this. Because this was deliberately signed off, wasnt it . I am creating a document by major george evans, saying, most of the natives who have died are of a semi savage nature, and do not attach any sentiment to marking the graves of their dead. So he said, the erection of individual headstones would constitute a waste of public money. That was signed off by the chairman of the then imperial war Graves Commission, winston churchill. This is being looked at now. What will happen . Its now. What will happen . Its shocking. Now. What will happen . Its shocking, isnt now. What will happen . It s shocking, isnt it . But it isnt shocking, isnt it . But it isnt shocking to historians because we have known this for a long time. This is all based on the work of professor michelle barrett, this is in my book in 2014, it isnt new. The combination the commission of Commonwealth War graves knew this as well. I do congratulate and applaud them for reaching this point but it should not have taken a documentary on channel 4, it shouldnt have taken me as a documentjamaica and my colleagues and Business Partner David Lammy And Fort michelle, for taking this to happen. And for the professor, michelle. This is a commission with an enormous place in british life, this should have happened voluntarily, not because of a documentary. So happened voluntarily, not because of a documentary a documentary. So what is the explanation . A documentary. So what is the explanation . Have a documentary. So what is the explanation . Have you a documentary. So what is the explanation . Have You Been i a documentary. So what is the| explanation . Have You Been in a documentary. So what is the I Explanation . Have You Been in touch with them at all, the commission, as to why it has taken so long . The first committee to why it has taken so long . Fie first committee that was to why it has taken so long . Ila first committee that was put together, i was invited to sit and i refused because Professor Barrett was not invited. I was very pleased about what happens with this report. But this isnt new, historians and the commission knew about that. What the commission knew about that. What does that say the commission knew about that. What does that say to the commission knew about that. What does that say to you, the commission knew about that. What does that say to you, then . That i does that say to you, then . That this is another does that say to you, then . inst this is another organisation that has had to be dragged into admitting its history. It is very important what you said earlier, this was the imperial war Graves Commission. And its mindset was imperial. And it was complicit with other imperial organisations like the colonial governors, who are just as committed to not giving equal treatment to black and middle eastern soldiers. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission was not alone in this but we hold them to higher values, and we hold them to higher values, and we expected better from them. So tare we expected better from them. So we are waitin we expected better from them. So we are waiting for we expected better from them. So we are waiting for a we expected better from them. So we are waiting for a reply we expected better from them. So we are waiting for a reply from we expected better from them. So we are waiting for a reply from the are waiting for a reply from the minister of defence. Ben wallace, the defence secretary, is addressing parliament later, what does he need to say . Parliament later, what does he need to sa . , ,. ,. , to say . This is the question i would ask everybody to say . This is the question i would ask everybody who to say . This is the question i would ask everybody who is to say . This is the question i would ask everybody who is interested i to say . This is the question i would| ask everybody who is interested and shocked in this story. If the Commonwealth War Graves Commission had set up a committee and discovered that 100,000 white british soldiers lay in mass graves, unmarked and un commemorated, and the documentation proved that that had been deliberate, what would they do . If this was in flanders, what they do . How many resources with a point of this if these were white soldiers . How many resources would they pour into this if these were white british soldiers . These men were part of the British Empire and they fought and died for britain, they deserve equal treatment and now. What we have right now in africa is apartheid in death. ,. , death. So, a fund should be allocated death. So, a fund should be allocated to death. So, a fund should be allocated to this, death. So, a fund should be allocated to this, to death. So, a fund should be allocated to this, to commemorate those who died in service who were not recognised . Is that one step . I think the Commonwealth War Graves Commission needs to think about what it would do if these were white british soldiers. It would do if these were white british soldiers. What do you think the would british soldiers. What do you think they would have british soldiers. What do you think they would have done . British soldiers. What do you think they would have done . I british soldiers. What do you think they would have done . I think british soldiers. What do you think| they would have done . I think they would pour they would have done . I think they would pour wee i think they would pour resources into it. If they were serious about this, notjust apologising, into it. If they were serious about this, not just apologising, but this, notjustapologising, but redemption, restorativejustice, treating africans with respect even all these years later, apologies are not enough. The End Goal is for an 11 year old kid, if he moves out of his parents home, when hes18 years old, 19 years old, he can know how to cook for himself and eat the right meals, those affordable meals and it will be one less thing he has to stress about because hes been doing it for five or six years already, and i always go to my experiences. Like, if i could literally go back as a kid this is something i would want to learn to as well as doing my football. When i went home, i would have loved to have been able to sit down and just learn to cook. So youve been cooking with tom kerridge. What are your favourite recipes so far . What have you learned . My favourite recipes, not to say that i liked the food, because i feel my food needs a lot of work on it, but my favourite recipes to cook were hashbrowns and i would say the Stir Fry one. I was using the wrong knives and then tom was having to help me and stuff. Just to say, that interview was recorded before the news of the european Super League was announced. Otherwise there would have been a few more questions. If you were watching earlier youll know tom promised to have something delicious prepared to show just how easy it is. He is about halfway through and we will Catch Up and see how you are getting on, and we will get to the food in a moment, but shall we remind ourselves why you are doing this with marcus. This with marcus. Yes, like marcus said, im this with marcus. Yes, like marcus said. Im part this with marcus. Yes, like marcus said. Im part of this with marcus. Yes, like marcus said, Im Part of the this with marcus. Yes, like marcus said, Im Part of the marcus i said, Im Part of the Marcus Rashford Task Force and were trying to reach as many people as possible to reach as many people as possible to encourage People Who qualified for the healthy Start Vouchers to take them and use them because this is money to come your way to please get yourself cooking something but also to De Stigmatise these. These 52 recipes are being launched throughout the year, one every sunday, so its encouraging people, they are all good fun, high energy and all available through instagram and all available through instagram and facebook, so its completely accessible and for People Who have not got the internet access, the supermarkets have been super helpful and they are making sure the recipe cards are there at most places and we are trying to reach as many places as possible but we are trying to encourage everyone to cook and make sure everyone engages and has a go at cooking so it doesnt matter about your background, but the people we are really trying to help are the people from the marcus Task Force has been trying to reach from the beginning to improve lives and drive the skill sets forward. Ii the beginning to improve lives and drive the skill sets forward. If you dont have drive the skill sets forward. If you dont have those drive the skill sets forward. If you dont have those skills, drive the skill sets forward. If you dont have those skills, its i drive the skill sets forward. If you dont have those skills, its hard i dont have those skills, its hard to know where to start because we are looking at you theyre in a professional kitchen and you have all of the kit and the tools, knowledge of how you cook stuff and mix it together, but its hard to know where you even begin. I completely agree. This is the whole point of the recipes. What we are trying to do, and normally when i speak to people, down the lens of a Camera And Talk on television or write recipes, im already talking to a Food Audience but im going back to my childhood, my background in the same as marcus, normally the best way to describe it is when i talk to people in a Food Audience, but these are People Who can already ride a bike, and we are going on a big 20 Mile Bike Ride across the country, but actually we are going back to getting onto a bike with stabilisers. Its right at the beginning. This is the dish we were cooking that marcus was talking about, the Stir Fry he really liked. It is one pan, we dont even boil the noodles. We flick the kettle on, cover them in hot water and just leave them, drain them and stick them in a pan, so we are trying to reach people and one of the recipes is even just cooked in a kettle, an omelette that is just boiled in a bag in a kettle and if you are in temporary accommodation or you only have a microwave or a kettle, so we are fully aware that the people we are fully aware that the people we are trying to reach, its not using all the kit. We stood here this morning because this is my place of work but the reality is i have one hob, one pan and a very simple dish to put together and it turns out it is one of marcus is favourite. There is one of marcus is favourite. There is a stigma is one of marcus is favourite. There is a stigma around is one of marcus is favourite. There is a stigma around not is one of marcus is favourite. There is a stigma around not knowing i is one of marcus is favourite. There is a stigma around not knowing how to cook. You were telling us earlier that marcus had never peeled carrot, but its that we dont like to admit that we dont necessarily know what we are supposed to do when we get in the kitchen. Lute we are supposed to do when we get in the kitchen the kitchen. We are very aware of it and we are the kitchen. We are very aware of it and we are very the kitchen. We are very aware of it and we are very conscious the kitchen. We are very aware of it and we are very conscious that i the kitchen. We are very aware of| it and we are very conscious that we want to remove the stigma and not worry about it. We are trying to make it stress free as possible. There are 52 recipes and they dont even have measurements. We dont have 250 millilitres of this or that, what we do most of the time as we are measuring thing in a mug, so its one mug of this and we have all got a mug but what we have tried to do is make sure that as many people as possible have access to a pan, a mug, and you can cook something. And all of the ingredients are the sort of ingredients found in food banks or the local corner shop. None of them are specialist, its all very simple things so its trying to encourage people to have a go and they are all budget friendly. They are super pocket friendly and they are super pocket friendly and they are dishes that people recognise, like Stir Fry or a pizza or a Rice Dish or pasta dish, so you will not spend money on things that your kids not liked. You might only want to cook two of them and they all have that repertoire, we are all guilty over a second a period that we might do Spaghetti Bolognese on a thursday and every thursday Spaghetti Bolognese, Thats Something that is a Life Skill and to be able to engage with fresh ingredients. So if ou are a engage with fresh ingredients. So if you are a family engage with fresh ingredients. So if you are a family watching and thinking i would love to be a part of this and see a recipe, how much time would it take of their week . This might be about an hour of engagement from start to finish. Some of the dishes are quicker than that, but we probably go from start to finish is about an hour of engaging, coming home from school, trying to engage the kids, cooking something from start to finish and at the most its an hour, but many of the dishes are less than that and you could be done in 25 minutes for some of them. So they are perfect for after school, tee time at meals. Thats also a really good thing of engaging with family rather than sitting at home with your tv and ipad, you are getting involved with each other, conversation. Light winds, and temperatures out of the wind, we are looking at 15 or 16 degrees but a Bit Cooler with the onshore breeze around the North Sea coastline. As we head through the evening and overnight temperatures will quickly fall away and we will have clear skies and the north where there will be more cloud which could produce drizzle but it will also keep the temperatures higher and where we have the clearest guys that is where the temperatures will fall away, low enough for a touch of Frost And Wheat hang onto gusty winds across the English Channel. We hang on. Through saturday and sunday, breezy and the west and gusty winds on friday in the English Channel but as you can see, a lot of dry weather and it does look like On Sunday we might see a little more cloud and the jury is still out on that one and highs, well, the temperature is starting to slide as we head towards sunday. If you are looking for significant rainfall there is an until next week until we might see that coming in next week. Ben is next to me. A view of walton on the Maze Ben is next to me.
